Hi,
Can I use Report Manager to distribute customized oracle reports, other than FSG reports?
If no, is there any function that can be used for distributing reports submitted from concurrent manager in r12.1.2?

In our UCM setup axis has been implemented in a custom component to consume webservices. As Axis falls under the Apache license you can freely import it in your custom java classes.

Yes this is the requirement of the specs. Your ejb code generator should give you the error if you use usertransaction.

Hii guys
How do i register execute and view output of Custom Oracle Reports in R11i ( 11.5.9 ) .I have developed custom reports for HR and Payroll in Report Builder 6i.
Is their a step by step tutorial ??
What to do next ??
Can somebody please guide me.

Thanks for the link.
However i'm unable to see my report output.
I did the following steps
1.Uploaded my Report file in
/vision/d01/oracle/visappl/per/11.5.0/reports/US/
Since we are doing it for Oracle HR module
2.I used the executable tab as outlined in the report
3.I then used the define tab to register report.
In step 2 and 3 i specified Oracle Human Resources in applications field.
Now when i try to submit the request for my report FHSAMPLE i can find it in the list.
Any ideas??

Services provides access to the full functionality of the report server through the Report Server Web service. The Report Server Web service is an XML Web service with a SOAP API. It uses SOAP over HTTP and acts as a communications interface between client

SSRS 2008 r2 - the Report Manager won't load unless "/Reports" is added to the DNS entry in address bar

Need some direction, please.
We are moving off SSRS 2005 to a new server with SSRS 2008R2. The old installation (2005) a DNS entry was created "reports" with the ip address and port number simple. In the Configuration manager the Report Manager Virtual Directory
is "Reports". Website is Default web site. Typing "reports" into the address bar opens up report manager. When this is done the address shows as reports/reports/pages/folder etc.
The new installation is configured the same(?). DNS entry "reports2" with new ip address and port number. In the Configuration manager the Report manager URL virtual directory is "Reports" URLs: =
http://servername:port/Reports. The issue is when typing "Reports2" into the address bar the report manager won't open unless "reports" is added to the dns name i.e. http://reports2/reports
is entered.
This thread took me to more like kind thread than my searches. Went into IIS in the default web site I added an htm file with a redirect. Then started it, it works. Maybe due to my inexperience but seems counter intuitive as I thought Reporting Services did
away with any reliance on IIS.

According to your description, if you type "Reports2" in the browser, then you want to redirect to the report manager homepage in SSRS 2008 R2, right?
In Reporting Services 2008 R2, it uses HTTP.SYS for HTTP access and it’s independent of Internet Information Server(IIS). The role for HTTP.sys in Reporting Services is that, HTTP.sys receive the user's request, and then send it to report server. Report
Server handle the request(e.g. authenticate the users), and then use HTTP.sys the send HTTP responses again. In a word, HTTP.sys is just a driver, which allow us to communicate the clients(browser) with Report Server without Microsoft Internet Information
Server(IIS).
So, since HTTP.SYS doesn’t provide URL redirection function, we are not able to redirect "Reports2" to report manager homepage by default. If we want to use redirect function, we should add a .html file in IIS to redirect the user to the report
manager.

I am using Oracle Application. Does anyone know how to use command line to execute an oracle report?
I mean execute command from client to server.

Hi,
Using Oracle Application Server the standard way for a client to request a report is via a HTTP request. This doesn't really lend itself to use directly on a command line on a client however you could use the following:
explorer "http://your_server/reports/rwservlet?report=report_name.rdf&userid=userid/password@db_sid&paramform=no&destype=FILE&desname=c:\temp\filename.pdf&desformat=pdf"
This will load explorer and submit that URL for you and request the report. You can change the parameters depending on the report output you require.
If you need something that is silent (ie doesn't load in explorer) you'll need to investigate other ways of submitting that URL request, perhaps using Java. You could also use SRW.run_report (Event Driven Publishing) to submit the request using SQL.

Custom Oracle Report displaying records one at a time

I have a custom oracle report that i've created and what i'm trying to achieve is to get all the records for the specific job code to print on one page. Instead, it is putting one record on one page. For example, job 90822 might have 6 records associated with it. Instead of it putting all 6 on one page it is putting one on 6 separate pages. I'm attaching my statement below. What is the "Vertical Elasticity" of the enclosing frames / repeating frames ?
This problem may occur when a frame or repeating frame has a property "Vertical Elasticity" set to Fixed or contract.
In this case, change the property "Vertical Elasticity" to Expand or Variable.

XML Publisher Report in EBS without Standard Oracle Report

Hi folks ,
i have some questions.
Can I create a XML Publisher Report for the EBS without a Standard Oracle Report in EBS.
So that I can build up the files with the Desktop Publisher, create Data Definition / Template with Upload / Create the executable und concurrent and than only start the new program in EBS ?
I have the situation that I can start my program with the template in the background but ít is searching for the report on the file system.

can i do it only with the xml Publisher , because when i tried it in the past and get all the staff like Template / DD / CP up and running and started the CR i get an error from the system that he is missing a report directly in the file system... so he searched for the report himself on system like a standard 6i Report. But the template and the dd is stored in the db. So my question again, can I use the XML Puplisher without a Standard Report or can i use a dummy file only for checking and after that he use my template / dd.

I have plenty of reports being formated to excel with this same method so it should work for you, the only diference with my previous code is this line.
