Can I use the 3G Shuffle with a stereo?

Really like the idea that the new Shuffle can manage playlists. I like to use my 2G Shuffle to plug my tunes into the stereo at work. I'm wondering if one could set up the new Shuffle by using the earbud/remote to initiate a playlist, then remove the earbuds and insert a jack to the stereo. Would the Shuffle continue to play, or does it need the earbud/remote to continue playing? Does anyone know?

It does not need the earbud/remote control to continue playing. The iPod shuffle auto pauses when you unplug the headphones so you need to power the iPod shuffle off then back on and it will resume playing where it left off. However, I think you would might be better off waiting for 3rd party adapters that will have iPod controls.

Can I use the migration assistant to migrate my Mac Book Pro to my new MacBook Air. Is there any problem with this since the platforms are not identical?

I have Mac Book Pro ( bought November 2010) that I want to migrate all of the data and applications from, over to a new Mac Book Air? It was suggested that I use the Migration Tool as it is supposed to make an exact clone of the Mac Book Pro machine and put it on the Mac Boor Air. Can that really work if you are going from one platform to another?
I was also told I could restore the data from my time capsule to the MacBook Air.
I'm looking for the easiest method that will leave me with as little to do as possible to get up an running on the Mac Book Air afterwards. I'm not a real strong user and don't want to have to reconfigure applications to make them work.

Connecting your MacBook Pro and your MacBook Air will be the fastest way, but you have to spend money on cables and adapters (also, your MacBook Pro doesn't support Thunderbolt).
As you have a Time Capsule, one thing you can do is to start your MacBook Pro and make a Time Machine backup. Then, turn on your MacBook Air and set it up. Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so select the option to restore the backup from the Time Capsule and be patient. This can take a lot of time if you have to migrate a lot of files

If you plan to buy in a different country, the specs may differ slightly but the GSM frequencies supported are, I believe, the same. You would not be able to connect via LTE anywhere but in the US or Canada.

The bottom line with a single AirPort Express is no.
The AirPort Express can only "extend" a wireless network when the network is being provided by another Apple router.
As you might imagine, it is extremely unlikely that that the hotel network....which no doubt uses professional wireless access points provided by a manufacturer of commercial systems.....would be compatible with an AirPort Express.
In many years of travel domestically and internationally, I cannot recall a time when a single AirPort Express would "extend" the signal provided by a hotel's wireless network.
However, if you had two AirPort Express devices handy, you might be able to configure one to "join" the hotel network and provide an Ethernet signal to the second AirPort Express, which would be configured to "create" your own "private" wireless network.

yes you can have multiple devices on one account just not in the same library before you sync it create a new library by:
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
Then add the songs you want
THen yuo can sync sync it by plugging in the usb cord the computer then plug in the ipod to the cord that it came with

The CCK will find/ask to download (if iPad supported formate )picture and video files if the device is formated in FAT 16 or 32 and the supported files are placed in a "DCIM" folder in the root directory. I have transfered such files from SD card and USB drives. However, not USB drive work. I had an old 2GB (very large) and when i connected it it said it drew too much power.
I also downloaded pictures and video files from a compact flash card and smart media card via a SanDisk USB card reader.

Brnad new user of the iPad - can I use the same USB cable for both the iPhone and the iPad? The iPad does not charge when plugged into the computer or the wall (110V) adapter. I've been able to sync in iTunes using the same cable on both.

Actually, the iPad charger works just fine with iPhones and iPods. The iPod/iPhone charger will charge an iPad very slowly but no harm will be done.

The other day, I accidentally dropped my 4th generation 32GB iPod Touch on concrete from a couple of feet. The screen has many cracks and the top-right corner is missing a few chunks of screen. The corner is completely shattered and the "organs" are visible through this gash. I backed up the iPod to my computer. I was wondering if this iPod "crashes' or stops working due to the hole, can I use the back up of the data of the iPod on another 4th generation 32GB iPod Touch to have my previous data(from the original iPod) on the new iPod?

Yes. That is completely correct and the expected result of having to replace an iPod.

Looks like $149 Could be worse, if you had not synced it with your computer.
Now consider what would happen if your Windows computer broke. Given the prevalence of viruses and such, it is a very likely possibility. Research means to back up your computer and make it a habit to keep the backups updated.
