Can I use the music on my iphone to copy music I've purchased back to itunes?

We have recently had a virus on our pc, we have had to replace the hard drive as everything had been corrupted, We have lost all music including all purchased ITunes songs and I would like to know if there is anyway of putting it onto our new hard drive without having to purchase them all again. I have them on my Iphone can I transfer them? How do I do it?

Sorry to hear about your computer, virii are not fun to deal with. You have 2 options for getting your iTunes purchases back to your iTunes library on the new computer, or fresh install of Windows. First you certainly can transfer the purchases using this article:

Or you can download your previous purchases from iTunes directly with this article:

i cannot use any of the apps on my iPhone 5s, it requests me to log into my iTunes when i open the apps but when i do it says 'cannot connect', this was after i updated my phone to the latest iOS 8 because my phone would not download a new app in the first place, now i can't even use my existing apps.. help?!

I have used itunes for years and recently found as my collection grew, so the space on my PC shrunk. I tried keeping it all on a hard drive but it seemed like itunes wanted to keep reverting to the PC drive and I would lose all the CDs I had spent ages putting on. This has happened to me at least 3 times so I am getting really frustrated with it now.
I am looking for a simpler option. icloud seems like a great idea as long as I can get access to my music whether or not I have internet - which is sometimes patchy where I live. Also, I would need the cloud to be able to share different music across different devices such as an ipod and other iphones.
Can anyone guide me on this?

You are perfectly fine using an over rated good quality charger like the genuine iPad charger. It will not charge your phone faster than the 1A iPhone charger though. This is because the phone will only ever draw up to 1A from any charger, no more. It will be faster than trying to charge from a computer USB port which is limited to 0.5A.
Beware of cheap Chinese knockoff chargers. These are poorly regulated, i.e. they may put out more than 5V DC or be electrically noisy with large voltage spikes. They also generally have very poor safety design and pose an electrocution and fire risk.

Yes, as I mentioned in my post I have been online reading and trying to fix my phone for the last 2 days. EVERYTHING has been tried, and tried half a dozen times. I got it to make half a phone call at one point.
Scary to see how many people are having problems with these phones. Again, it wouldn't be so bad if you weren't stuck in a 2 year contract where you're basically forced to have the phone.
And in response to your backing of the business ethics of Apple, charging 500 dollars to replace the front piece of glass and digitizer (a product that can be purchased online for 50 dollars) is not cool.
I can't say enough about MAC products, i have been on them since the early 80's, the apple IIe and IIgs, I run Final Cut and Pro Tools on a beefed up Macbook pro and I've still got a titanium one that works like a charm. That is why I am so surprised to see what's going on with the iphone.

I can't use the column browser on my iPod classic when it is hooked up to iTunes. Did they do away with it?

When I hook my iPod Classic up to iTunes on my computer the column browser is not there and the selection to turn it on is grayed out. Has it been done away with? It is still there on a 5th generation Nano.

It might be the battery, it sure sounds as though it could be. What happens if you leave it to charge, does the charging symbol show, does the battery icon show full, part full or empty at any time?

I got an iCloud helper message on my iPhone and now I can't use the internet

I received a message on my computer from iCloud helper? Saying I had a virus and it lists everything that is at risk, and then says to call a number. I'm maybe not the most brilliant, and I called. I allowed remote access to my computer and she wanted to charge me 99.95 to clean my mac. I said no. I then deleted and cleared my download folder, all website data and restarted my computer. I updated the software and it was restarted again. I can use my computer fine, but I can't use the internet on my iPhone 4s.
I have closed the internet, turned off the wifi, turned it back on. Restarted my phone. Cleared website data and it still gives me the same message.
Just not sure if I have totally screwed myself or what to do to fix it.

Okay than this definitely was not Apple. Apple support techs never have access to your mouse. It sounds like this company installed some software on your Mac. It is hard to tell what their intentions are but just assume in these situations that all your data was compromised. Possibly all your online accounts have been compromised such as social networks, banks, etc.. The smartest thing to do would be to change all of your passwords and reinstall OS X on your Mac. It sounds extreme but that's what happens when a 3rd party company gains control of your computer.

I have a similar problem. I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted. I still have them on my old ipod, and wonder how to get them back onto my computer so I can redistribute some of them to the ipad. I must be getting too old for this tech stuff, it gets less user friendly every year.
