Can I use USB mouse with bluetooth keyboard?

I am in need of some help. I recently got my iMac about 3 months ago and absolutely hate the magic mouse and want to use my rocketfish usb mouse along with the bluetooth mac keyboard. Is this possible or just wishful thinking on my end? I have searched everywhere for drivers and answers with programs etcetera and have came out empty. Help?

I've done so (and even tested it on my Macbook and the USB mouse works fine) but for some reason it will not interface with my iMac - and I've tired multiple USB ports and still nothing, which is why I brought up the keyboard being bluetooth I didn't know if that somehow may interfer with the USB mouse when the bluetooth keyboard is turned on and paired. I am pretty good when it comes to computers so I know what to look for and what I am doing (for the most part) but this has me stumped.

Sure you can use a mouse.

See the section Using a mouse on p. 70.
Try Fn + F9 to turn off/on the touchpad. See Disabling or enabling the TouchPad on pp. 68 and 174.

  • How can I use "enter" on a bluetooth keyboard to send iMessages?

I just purchased the Logitech folio case with Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad. When using iMessage and texting apps, for some reason when I hit the enter key I cannot send the message I have to rather tap the send button on the screen. Is there a setting I need to change? It works fine when I hit enter to search when I'm on the internet. The key itself has "return" as its first function and "enter" as its second. I tried hitting "shift" and another time "fn" before with no luck. I feel stupid for asking this question but who knows someone else might be having the same problem. Any advice?

I tried to find a way I tried pressing most of the buttons on my Bluetooth keyboard but nothing works
So the only way you could send is by pressing it manually on the screen

  • Can you use a mouse with an ipad air?

We recently purchased an iPad Air.  With my wife's work, sometimes she has to access a web site from home that uses adobe flash.  we discovered a browser that allows her to access that site.  Now because of the complexity of the site, she would need a keyboard and preferably a mouse.  I know that you can sync a keyboard to the iPad using bluetooth.  My question is, can you also sync a wireless mouse to the iPad?  If you can sync both the keyboard and mouse, it would greatly reduce our need for a PC laptop.  Any suggestions welcome.

You cannot use a mouse as it defeats the point of a MacBook. You can although have a keyboard for the iPad which allows word processing and simple things like typing emails. Hope this helps

  • Can I use wirless mouse with my Satellite M30x?

    Hello
I have a question. I have the Satellite M30x and my dealer will sell me Toshiba PA3205U-1ETC Optical Wireless mouse. In information it says it is for specific notebook models only.
Can I use it with my notebook? Has my notebook this specific wireless adaptor?

    Sorry for my bad English

    Why not.
I use a wireless mouse at home. The moue station is connected to the USB port and the mouse communicates with the station wirelessly.
I dont see any reasons why you shouldnt be able to use such mouse.

  • Can Startup Manager be Chosen with Bluetooth Keyboard on Cold Boot?

The subject line pretty well sums it up. Can the user hold down the option key while booting a shutdown Mac and get the Startup Manager screen to come up when using Apple's wireless keyboard on a current model iMac? Does the wireless keyboard make "contact" with the iMac soon enough in the boot process to allow this choice to be made?
    Thanks,
    Steve M.

    Hey Steve,
I am using the "old" white wireless keyboard with my macbook pro and os x sl and I can access the boot options (alt, c, t...) right after a cold start (for bootcamp, i.e.). Your imac should have build-in bluetooth, so I guess it should work. I only heard of problems when using third party products or the old bluetooth adapter from apple.
The only thing that bugs me is after start up when the login sceen comes up, the connection seems to be lost... so I have to wait like 30 seconds for my keyborad to react (again?). I haven't found a solution for this so far.
    Good luck,
    Fabian

  • Can I use magic mouse with iPad 2?

Is there a way to use the magic mouse with the iPad 2? Doing so would improve my Citrix experience greatly.

No, it can take input from the screen or keyboard.

  • Can I use a mouse with an iPad air?

With Office 365 now available on my iPad Air, I would like to be able to use a mouse, mostly for the Excel SS's I create / use. Using a finger doesn't always work so well especially when trying to highlight sections at a time. ( my finger tends to be a little to fat sometimes and I have not had much luck with a stylist) Outside of that I can get by with a keyboard pretty well and yes even my finger.

    Try going to Settings-->General-->Accessibility-->Zoom

  • How can I use USB camera with NI cRIO 9022, please see my strange problem.

    Hi,
I would like to use a USB camera with NI cRIO 9022. I used the same USB camera with NI USB 6216 DAQ device and developed a VI(within a PROJECT and outside it). So, It is working fine with NI USB 6216 device when I use the Vision Assistant Express VI and gets detected in its Initialization Window.  Please see JPEG File 3 where I get NO ERROR.
I am facing a problem when I want to use it with NI cRIO 9022. What exactly I am doing in this case is:
    1) Create a NEW PROJECT
    2) Add Targets and Devices(NI cRIO 9022)
    3) Use the Scan Interface mode
    4) Create a NEW VI under the cRIO 9022 device
    5) Use a Timed Loop(Synchronized with Scan Engine) for continuous Data Acquisition and Sending from the Analog I/O modules.
    6) Use the Vision Assistant available through the NI Vision Acquisition 2010 Module(I get STUCK HERE! The Express VI opens the Initialization Window, but I don't see the USB camera like in JPEG File 3)
I am facing difficulties with this HOST COMPUTER, cRIO implementation differences. On my host computer I have the software packages as shown in JPEG File 1, and on my cRIO 9022 as shown in JPEG File 2.
Can someone guide me how to overcome this and get the USB camera detected when I am using NI cRIO 9022?
NOTE: If this is a problem with software mismatches on HOST and NI cRIO 9022 device, please see JPEG Files 1 and 2 for available software and Host and cRIO 9022.
    Thanks.
    Amar.

When you select My Computer, you are running the program on the PC.  In this case, the camera works because it is connected to the PC.  The scan engine doesn't work because it needs to run on the cRIO, not the PC.
When you create the program on the cRIO, you can use the scan engine because the program is on the cRIO.  You can't use the camera because it is back on the PC, and can't be found on the cRIO.
The project is a wonderful tool, but it may be making the programming seem too simple.  It may not be clear to you that by moving a program to a different location (PC or cRIO), it is running in an entirely different environment on a totally different machine, even though it is just a little further down in the project.  You can't easily access the hardware on one machine while running the program on the other.
So the summary is:  The camera is attached to the PC.  The scan engine runs on the cRIO.  Never the twain shall meet.

There actually is a type of "pointer" native to iOS. it's part of the AssistiveTouch feature,  used to replicate multitouch gestures with one finger. You just can't control it with a mouse.
Anyway, as far as I can discern the iPad does not use nanotechnology in any part of its construction.
