Can Mac OS X Server can do the same as MobileMe but without a MobileMe account ? (It seems to me that it is not clearly mentioned which function require a MobileMe account.
My interest for this server it would be to have the same function as MobileMe but without it.

Which features of MobileMe are you looking for specifically?
OS X server does allow you to host e-mail, contacts and calendars (including syncing between devices). You can also do web hosting, as well as file storage. How well all of these services work will depend on the type and speed of your internet connection. Most "home" ISPs do not allow you to run a mail server, and will block the ports required to do so.
You will not be able to use the "Find My iPhone" service through OS X server, although Apple has already made that free to use without a MobileMe account.

as far as i understand you are talking about a template which you can partitioned and in one part you wants to show your graphics and in other part you wants to print your text, the border of template shall remain invisible.
If you wants to do it without using a template, you can do it as sujjested by Susmitha, but creating a template will provide you more flexibility that if you wants to change the attributes in future you can do it easily. -
Is the wireless provider the issue? I can receive emails everywhere I go but in some locations can only send to a limited number of email addresses.

I suspect that the issue is the SMTP server settings. On your home network you are using your providers SMTP server and all is fine (If you check your email account configs you will find that the SMTP server is set to your providers?).
When you use a different network (provider) mail will not be sent unless you use that networks (providers) SMTP server (this is a security issue to address ways of "spamming").
So if youre 3G/4G provider is the same as you home provider all will work well via your home WiFi. If you turn off WiFi and just use your 3G/4G connection to send mail (iPhone/iPad etc) all will work well (when you are out and about and using anothers WiFi network).
If you are connected to, say a MacDonalds WiFi, mail will probably not be sent. (It will be received though).
Using WEB mail interface (via your WEB browser) removes this problem as well.
(A SMTP server is what is used to send email. So to successfully use anothers (not a networks the same as your providers) WiFi network and send email via it, you must know the SMTP servers name and reconfigure your email account/s to use that server to send mail.) -

Well, I really would love the new unreleased mac pro however , I'm not sure of the expected cost , Everyone speculates from $3,000 to $8,000, in which I may have to wait a while to purchase.

I installed Windows 7 in my Macbook pro, I can access Windows data in Mac, but I can't copy and delete it. and the same case while i am working in Windows. Could you please guide me if there is any solution, where I could copy/paste/delete my data.
OS X can natively read NTFS of Windows, but not write to it.
Windows can't read or write to HFS+ of OSX, and that's a good thing from a security standpoint.
Ideally if you share files between operating systems you should have a FAT/MSDOS formated USB key or hard drive. (exFAT external drive if any of your files are over 4GB in size) both these formats are universal for OS X or Windows.
If you install software into Windows and OS X to read each others formats, then you have to pay to update/upgrade it deal with headaches.
If you swtich between Windows and OS X a lot, don't need full hardware performance for Windows, you may consider installing virtual machine software like VMFusion or Parallels which can take a copy of your Windows in Bootcamp and place it into OS X as a file then run that copy of Windows in a window in OS X like so.
Advantage here is you run most of your light weight Windows programs like this at the same time as OS X.
Benefit is you can run just about any Windows or Linux version and OSX server editions (not client versions)
Bootcamp only allows Windows 7, that's it now.
You'll also be interested in two fre pieces of software, Carbon Copy Cloner and Winclone on macupdate.com.
CCC clones OS X partition and Winclone clones the Bootcamp partition. Valuable for you.

We are Mac beginners, considerin a Mac for a family Christmas gift. We currently share one windows based pc. Does anyone use a Mac AND a pc in their household? Would the two systems interface? (Can you start your homework on one system, but finish it on another?) Can they both be hooked up to the same printer? What advice would you give us as we consider this big purchase?

I am using a Mac OS X 10.7 and i have trouble using idvd. If I buy a previous version of ilife, will I be able to use idvd without affecting the settings of Mac OS X 10.7? Can both versions of ilife run on the same mac?
You don't need to buy an earlier version of iDVD to have it run with Lion. iDVD 7 has been with us since iLife 08. Tell us in detail what you're experiencing.

5 authorizations: Some households have multiple computers. If you want ot use one with an account it has to be authroized. It means you can use any computer in the house to make purchaes, etc.

Try downloading them onto the iPad normally. If you're asked to pay for them, you can't.

If you're asking whether more than one user can use the computer at the same time with multiple displays, the answer is no. Other users can log in over a network with Screen Sharing, but each one will need his own computer (not necessarily a Mac.)

Our experience is a little different, we have different iTunes accounts for different family members, each family member has their own iTunes library on their own mac, each mac uses my Apple ID for homesharing and we are able to play purchased content from each library on the Apple TV.

Winston, what sort of set up do you have for 10 apple tvs? - I currently have 2 and cannot stream different movies successfully at the same time to both of them from a single macbook pro. I am looking at upgrading to a system with a macbook mini or server streaming different content to 3-5 apple tvs. Currently all streaming is on the same channel and via 2 airport extremes and a new express. Still finding the system very very slow.

I am uploading receipts using the PURCHASE_ORDER_RECEIPT EIP. When I upload serialized assets each one is processed as a separate receipt (receiver_id). How can I have these all aggregated on the same receipt?
Is there a parameter I should be using in the XML or is there a setting in Peoplesoft that will accomplish this?

If you ran two streams simultaneously, then you should see a difference between a single 1G interface and an aggregate of two 1G interfaces.

How can I create an iTunes playlist that contains both music and podcasts and export that playlist to my iPhone? This was once possible. If you download the "Podcast" app, podcasts can still be added to iTunes playlist which you can listen to on your Mac. But when you sync that playlist to iPhone, it will omit all of the podcasts.
Previously, the workaround was not to download the Pocast app. That way, podcasts remained in iTunes where they could still exist in with music in the same playlist. But as of iOS7, you are required to install the "Podcasts" to be able listen to podcast at all. No more workaround.
Why does this matter? Some people, like me want to drive or exercise while listening to a mix of music and podcasts. Apple's "improvements" have restricted the way that I am able to use iTunes.
I can only think of these solutions:
Convert the podcast into AAC or other format. Then iTunes sees it as "music" and it will stay in the playlist. Cons: 1. Burdensome. 2. Removes the resume feature from the podcast.
Use a different iPhone app. Spotify lets you drag any track (even podcasts) into a playlist and they stay there when synced to the Spotify iPhone app. Cons: 1. Requires Spotify premium service to listen to playlists on iPhone. 2. The resume feature is removed. 3. Very difficult to forward and rewind. 4. Some podcasts are rejected by the Spotify playlist, although its rare. 5. After being imported, the tracked need to be synced to the phone via WiFi (as with all tracks that are not offered via Spotify.)
