Can no longer get independent crossword in firefox but it used to be fine

I used to have no difficulty getting the Independent concise crossword everyday but for several weeks now I haven't been able to get it. On screen it says' wrong size' by the first line of text which is 'check'. Any help much appreciated, thanks!

*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Then without any apparent reason I could access all parts of the site, but could not access the deed images. First I thought it was a problem on their end, which sometimes happens, but after waiting 24 hours I was still having the problem. Then I tried windows explorer and it worked without any problem. First question I would ask is what has changed recently? Did you add any new extensions or add-ons?
I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

I would feel dreadful If I thought had caused you a problem. The warnings about Java are fully justified but providing you are communicating with a known source, and as I said, you disable it the moment you have finished, you should be safe.
It might also be worth asking your bank what problem they have and would it be the same if you were using Firefox, for example.
Like you, I am very security minded, in fact I won't even put my bank details on my Mac let alone run my account that way.

I did try to download Firefox again, but still will not work.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

Note that if you remove the cert8.db file that this removes all intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored and possible exceptions that you created in the paste as well (see also cert_override.txt).
You will have to leave libPKIX disabled for now if that makes it possible to access these websites.
A possibility is to create a button with the PrefBar extension to toggle the security.use_mozillapkix_verification pref when needed, so you can see which sites have issues with PKIX.
What kind of error message do you get when you visit these websites if there is still one?
Can you attach a screenshot of the technical details or possibly post a link if the site is publicly accessible (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?

Hmm, sorry, I don't know anything about Inside GGP. But from that website it looks like there is some software you have to install on your computer. The "install" link won't load for me so I can't try it out, but it may be that whatever software it is, needs to be installed again. Or it may be incompatible with Firefox 4, if it was an extension written for Firefox 3 and the extension hasn't been updated yet.
You'll probably have the best luck talking to your office network administrator about the problem. Sorry that I wasn't able to be more helpful than that.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Have you failed to do this? not good.
You can transfer itunes purchases form an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
You can enter a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. you should get the option to merge.
You can import any pics taken with the ipod, and e-mail any pics synced to the ipod to yourself.
The ipod is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which you sync.
