1. I istalled Sun java messaging server 6.
2. I edit amsamplesilent to prepare amsamplesilent.my:
# cd /opt/SUNWam/bin

3. I configure Access Manager:

ldap_simple_bind: Can't connect to the LDAP server - No route to host
i would consider this a fatal error.
The system cannot locate where your Directory Server is. "no route to host" means that it's trying to get to the host, but your networking isn't set up correctly, and it doesn't find any route to get to the specified host.

When the users are created through the dynamic profile, the default cn/sn are set to "default" , after creation you need to login to amconsole as amadmin and change/add proper values for these attributes.
Alternatively you can set the protected resource's policy subject to Authenticated users. This will work but not sure will meet your requirement

then, i read "Sun Java SystemAccess Manager 7.1 Postinstallation Guide" .
it said that "Login to theWeb Server console.The default port is 8888." but i can't find the default port .
i think my web server console's default port is 8989.

As a part of my requirement, I need to Configure Access Manager in SSL Mode. For that, I followed all the steps(Change http to https in web server instance in Access Manager, Install Certificate, Modify AMConfig.properties) mentioned in the PostInstallation Guide of Sun Access Manager to configure the SSL using Selfsigned certificate. so, after doing all these steps, as soon as the hit the Access Manager URL httsp://machinename:portno/amserver/UI/Login, it shows "page cannot be displayed" error. I have checked the web server with SSL enabled in it and its running fine.
On one of forum post, I read that you need to set this property to true "com.sun.am.jssproxy.trustAllServerCerts" if you are not installing the ROOTCA certificate however this is not listed in the AM documentation.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated. Let me know if am missing any steps.

Can not configure Oracle 10g form on oracle 11g client

I need to install oracle 10g form in my system .
Here is my system
1. OS --XP
2. 32 Bit
4. Already oracle 11g release client installed ( I think that create the problem )
I tried to install oracle 10g form , it installed but can cont configure net manager for it , Always it point to 11g client and hence I could not configure .
Also I tried install Oracle Forms first then 11g client , But I got same issue .
I think if I created multiplr home one for 11g client and other for forms , it may work out .

I don't have idea how to configure Access Manager, I installed ans configure Directory and Web Server and working well, but I need to configure access Manager, there is a script called " amsamplesilent " it has some variables that i dont understand very well, how do I do to configure?

So you used "configure later" option while installing Access Manager - correct?
amsamplesilent is not a script - it's an input file for the command "amconfig"
copy this file and adjust it to your settings (which variables haven't you understood?)
run amconfig -f <your_sample_install_file>

Setup.exe file can not by accessed by system

OS is WinXP Home SP3. When either installing complete all-in-one software from disc or downloaded rw2_021_w02_enu.exe, the install stops when trying to access Setup.exe "The File Can not Be Accessed from the System".Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Hi , and welcome to the HP Forums! I see you are having software errors. I would like to help! I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and perform a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar. I would then suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software. Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows. Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Are you not able to scroll down the righ-hand side of Settings > General using three fingers on the screen ?
The manual (http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad) also says that you should be able to switch voice-over off by connecting to your computer's iTunes :
Turn VoiceOver on or off in iTunes:Connect iPad to your computer and select iPad in the iTunes device list. Click Summary, then click Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary screen.
So select Configure Universal Access at the bottom of the Summary tab and set 'Seeing' to 'Neither'

Can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b

OS: Windows 2012 R2 Core
Services: Hyper V
I was trying to remote reboot and the session hung. No worries I decided I could just reboot the next morning. So I rebooted the next day but when I go into server manager I get
an errror can not refresh server manager Error:0x8007045b. Did some research found suggestions to fix it using a DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.
But then I get an error 1115 A system Shutdown is in progress. I attempt to fix this issue using pskill winlogon but the issue pursistest. I have restarted the server several times now. Not sure how to fix this.

JMStudio Error "Can not create session manager"

Hi,
I'm trying to transmit an mpg file through a simple pc to pc network, using the transmission wizard in the JMStudio, and everytime it causes a "can not create session manager" error, even when I try to transmit .mp3 file
I'm using an ip like 100.100.0.1 for the sender machine, and 100.100.0.2 for the receiver machine, and I don't know where is the problem

Um,maybe the port that you use for transmission is already occupied.
Make sure that you are not using JMStudio to transmit streams while trying to receive streams from the same port.

Can not locate Workgroup Manager; possibly not installed?

Here's the story:
I'm trying to get my new camera software installed and one of the steps is to launch Image capture.
Image capture gives me an error saying: "No Image Capture Device connected."
Apple says to fix this I need to open Workgroup Manager (in /Applications/Server/) and change some preferences.
But, I can not find Workgroup Manager for the life of me. I used spotlight with no luck. I also don't have a folder in Applications titled Server. This worries me and makes me wonder if the program could have been deleted or not installed at all?
Any suggestions on how to find WgM would be welcome.

Whoa... somebody got confused someplace... I wouldn't guess you are running OSX Server on a MacBook, but the oSX CXlient instead, so no idea how Apple came up wih that solution.
You likely should not have a Server folder there, nor the APP they speak of.
What kind of Camera exactly, and how does it connect?

I can not start Enterprise Manager web page.
Here is my steps:
1. Start enterprise manager
emctl start
Waiting for EM to initialize ...Started
2. Check status:
emctl status
EMD is up and running : 200 OK
3. Start the web page
http://myhost:1810/
4. get following error
"There was no response. The server could be down or is not responding"
System info:
Database: 8.1.7.2
OAS: 9.2.0.2
JDK: 1.3.0_02
Server OS: SunOS 5.8
My question is where is the log file of enterprise manager and what the problem is.

I have a client online at this very moment that just went on and did all their page edits... about 2 hours of work for him.
He went to save the file & received the error "...file can not be accessed or does not exist, Error" (no error number or anything. Here are the steps he took:

The editing session should not time out for 24 hours for a normal login. The period is even longer if “remember me” was checked at login... And if the session timed out, you should have been prompted with the login dialog, not thrown an error.

poptang, welcome to the forum,
please try the following: when you have shut down the system, remove and then replace the drive. Instructions can be found here. (I know they're for a T61, but it's the same method for a T400). Then at boot press F1 (for BIOS) or F12 (for Boot Menu), and see if you are able to open the drive.
