Unable to delete a mail item that has nothing in the body. Delete, move or edit delete causes mail to exit. When re-entering mail, it is still there

someone else had this problem and a way to get around it.
if you swipe the item when it is not sellected, a "delete" button will appear on the item and allow you to delete it. I have found that you need to also go to the delete file and delete all items there and then exit mail to insure that they are not brought back to the in box from the deleted box the next time you enter mail.

Do you have a backup of your iPhone? If so, do a restore and whatever Notes were backed up should reappear.
You will lose any changes made since that backup though.

Two Computers both on Lion-can I delete one user that has same email one one without losing th either

Ok I know this might sound weird, but I set up my home theater and used my .me account as the email, long before Lion came around. Now I want to delete that .me account and use another account I have from the old ,mac days.
How can I do that without disturbing my other computers .me account?
I did create a new user with the new and improved .me account, then i went back to stop th e.me from the "shared" me account and I lost everything on my other computer. No I never touched it.

no obviously not. it's not in the trash if you are worried copy the second copy and change the name to something else. then delete both and after deleting both rename the copy the same as the original.

This sounds like spamware you might have installed by accident. If you go into Add-Ons (Firefox -> Add-Ons) it should be under 'Extensions'. Click the 'Remove' button and that should get rid of it.
You might also find it under 'Programs and Features' in Control Panel. Remove it if it's there.

I can not open a file that has been converted from a PDF to a .doc. I have a one year subscription to PDF Pack.

I click on the tool to convert my pdf file to a .doc file. When the program writes it is finished and I can down load the document, I do so. Even though the converted file is listed as a .doc or docx, neither Microsoft Word nor OpenOffice can open it. What is going wrong?
I also click to be able to edit my pdf document, but no commands to edit it come up. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. What is the file size of the converted document (and the filename extension)? Do you have the same issue with any file that you try to convert? Or is the problem specific to one file?
As for editing a PDF file, that requires Acrobat. (Adobe Reader lets you comment on a PDF, but not alter its content).

I have a number of old bookmarks where the page (location) is blank. Bookmarks that follow them do not get displayed in the Bookmarks Toolbar or when I click on "Bookmarks." These bookmarks with missing pages are shown when I click on "Organize bookmarks," but I am not able to delete them.

Can not delete a batch

This is kinda weird.
We have a couple of files that was submitted in the batch monitor and i can not delete it. It has an error that says" 3x HOST(machine.local) Unix command error: 133, var/tmp/tmp SSPyCb: line6: 495 trace/Bpt trap /Applications/Shake/shkbreakdown.app/Contents/MacOS/shkbreakdown -v ....x"
I shutdown my "machine.local which is part of the render farm and I can still see this job processing.
Any help is appreciated.

I actually solved that problem by restarting all my render farm.
But to answer your question, I have 7 render farms, I'm using clusters with 2 processors on each machine. 5 of the clusters are 10.4.2 tiger and the 2 are 10.4.4 Tiger server without any services open. 1 machine is set up as services and cluster controller, the rest is just Services only. We created a new account on each machine with the same name. We have a network drive that we mount for the render files. We use Ldap for our afp accounts. When we log on to the network drive, we only use 1 account for all 7 machines. So far everything is working using Maya and Shake. But the weird thing is that I have an extra cluster node that just gives me problems. Everytime we render something with that node on, it just gives me errors and would not render, if it's off I'm fine. It's on 10.4.4 server right now, I haven't done the reset on Apple Qmaster from the System Prefs, if the reset does not work, I'll install just the regular tiger system software.

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by malware on your pc. please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].

Can not delete a movie file

a couple of days ago i downloaded a movie file with .avi extension on the desktop of my mac from windows formatted ipod. and now i can not delete it, there is a small lock sign in the bottom and when i try to delete it says: the operation can not be completed because file is locked. Please help.

Select the file, choose Get Info from the File menu, and uncheck the Locked checkbox. You should now be able to delete the file.

By "re-indexed my email" do you mean you rebuilt the mailbox via the "Rebuild" command in the Mailbox menu? Did you try that for all the affected mailboxes?
Also, you might try experimenting with the settings in Mail, Preferences, Accounts having to do with whether junk mail messages are stored on the server and whether they are to be deleted.
Does this behavior persist when you are not connected to the internet?

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.
