Can not type in address bar after updating Firefox

I can not place the cursor and type in the address bar and search boxes (e.g. the one on the Firefox support page).

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I am not able to type on the address bar where you normally type anything such as www.domain.com or delete any text that is already there.

Try to open a new window to see if that gives a working location bar. If that works then close the not working window.

I just updated to Firefox 10. The return key will no longer work in the address bar. I have to manually click on the "go to" arrow. Are there any fixes for this? Thanks!

After I updated firefox a few weeks ago, I don't have an address bar anymore.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

When trying to type anything in the address/navigation bar, firefox hang.

So you can't even the location bar in a new unmodified profile without copying any files to it?
Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

I cannot upgrade past 28 my dropdown menu will not work in the address bar I can not search from address bar stuck at home page

Once I open firefox browser with anything past 28.0 my browser becomes a paperweight no searches from the address bar. Not from the list of drop downs, not from typing the address in the bar. Stuck to the home page it had as default. Firefox does an update every time I close it forcing me to return to 28.0 or through my F--n computer in the trash. Noticed others had this problem but got only questions with no help coming from firefox. This is a Vista 64 bit if that maters. I kinda think maybe nothing past 28 will work but with Vista but no one from firefox will step up and say that.

That message usually indicates that your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
Then when you updated the phone your phone locked back to the original carrier.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock the phone.
You'll need to figure who the original carrier is.

Interesting... I just tried going to webmail.eastlink.ca and my PlayBook browser shut down altogether...
But have you tried simply adding the Eastlink email account to your PlayBook? This doesn't address the issue, but is a way to access your email on your PlayBook.
I'm not sure what the specific issue may be... But it's likely that the browser has not been optimized for the PlayBook which is causing it to shut down the browser.

i have just update my phone ie:n73 with firmware v4.0726.2.0.1 and my memory card has 2GB capacity.
but when i run music player i can not refresh my music library. i should remind you that all my songs are in my memory card.

Remove Memory Card > Insert > then Refresh
Backup Music From Memory Card to PC > Format Mem Card to FAT32 & tranfer all data back > Refresh Music List.

i did an update on my itunes now when i go to the store it says "itunes could not connect to the ituns store. make sure your network connection is active and try again". it has done this before when i did an update the last time
