Can not view cellular data account any more (email address does not match)

On iPad, was originally able to go into Settings > Cellular Data > View Account and view the account info. Now cannot. If try using correct email address and password, get message that account or password are incorrect. If try entering just the email address and clicking "forgot password", get "the email address you entered does not match the email address on file for this device".
But the 3G cellular is still working.
Don't know if related, but this problem began after the reports of the 100,000 iPads/users hack. Leads me to wonder if I got hacked.... or more likely if the system/database that "View Account" normally accesses is offline or being reworked by AT&T.
Any suggestions? Best AT&T contact via Internet? By phone #? By local AT&T store? Via Apple? Use iTunes to reset to factory defaults and start over (risk loss of unlimited plan?)?.

Thanks for the replies, I just had the same problem yesterday and it was a misspelled e-mail address, BUT, it did take me three calls to AT&T and more than two and a half hours. The first person didn't even know what I was talking about and gave me a number for iPad support which turned out to be Apple's, so... no help. The second person told me they were there only to solve iPhone problems until I read her your posts, then she tried and tried until the call was cut off (this is AT&T after all). But the third person finally understood, even though it took her almost an hour to get to their iPad support department (she told me it was busy all the time) not before trying with their "technical department" also. I just can't believe that Apple sells millions of these things and AT&T can't supply a direct phone number for this department, or doesn't even train their personnel.

First go here - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and login under the manage tab. Check your information and be sure it is all correct.
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, so if you see another email address in the store, then someone has logged in with a different AppleID than yours. Did you let someone else use your iPhone?

Can't Acces Cellular Data Account in Settings

I'm having issues accessing my O2 Data account. I check this on a daily basis to see what I'm at in terms of data usage.
Today I get a strange message saying "Device not Recognised, this iPad has not been registered prperly in our systems. Call Custommer Service on **** and when asked provide the ID ***********"
Now, the cusommer service number is that of O2, so I called them and they told me categorically that this was an Apple Software issue and I should take my iPad back...... hmmmmm, what a load of tosh.
I'm currently using it on 3G not wifi, so I suspect it maybe a weak or faulty 3G connection. I can still access the internet so I know it's not an Apple issue.
Anyway, I dutifully phoned AppleCare (Waited 10 mins) and they said exactly what I thought which is "You need to call your service provider O2 as this is clearly an issue on their side", they were nice about it.
I so hate these kind of circular situations.
I hope this is just a one off problem due to a faulty network and it all comes back on-line. I've sued this everyday to track my Data Usage against my plan.
I've also done the obvious full re-set a couple of times, but no Joy
Anyone had similar problems?

Did you ever this get this resolved? I now have exactly the same issue - stuck between O2 and Apple. Now on 2nd SIM and iPad restore - three weeks on and no mobile data connection still - seriously unimpressed!

Can't view Cellular Data network on legally unlocked iPhone 3GS

I bought an iphone from Singapore and those phones come as unlock. Now that I am in the States, I was hoping to use my corporate AT&T sim card for data surfing and all. While I am able to make calls, it says that I am not registered for cellular data network. I was able to surf the web using the same SIM on this other HTC phone.
I was hoping to change the APN settings but that appears to be missing. How can I change the settings to that of AT&T?

Do you know the data plan rate your employer is paying for your HTC phone or for whatever phone the data plan is for?
AT&T's enterprise data plan for the iPhone costs $45/mo.
Sounds like you or your employer will need to contact AT&T customer support.

Cellular Data Plan, email address does not accept .mobi

I signed up for a data plan on my IPad and I am forced to use an old email address that ends in .net. in order to sign up. The signup process for a Cellular Data plan will not accept an email address that ends in .mobi. The error that appears is "Email address must be valid." The email is valid, but the IPad will not accept it.
So the question is how do we get Apple to change the log in process to allow for valid email addresses ending in .mobi (or other new types that may be out there)? This has been a problem since my first IPad with OS 4.
I have spoken with Apple support, my impression is that they listened, but it won't go anywhere.

How can I teach my server that a specific email address is not spam?

I have 2 clients that are located in China. Their emails periodically get tagged as SPAM although I repeatedly redirect them to [email protected]
Is there way to just tell this beast to trust anything coming from these two addresses?

Mmmm. Sounds like an odd error to get. What log is this? Works OK in 10.4.7. Are you 10.4 or earlier? Anybody know if things are different in 10.3?

The command "spamassassin --lint" will run a check on the local.cf file and flag up any errors. There are (I think) 5 ignorable issues it has with the default file but it will actually list the lines so you can easily see if it has an issue with specific entries. You can run --lint without restarting mail services so the file will not yet be 'live' and can be re-edited without interupting the mail services.
Just-in-case, stop & start mail services using "serveradmin stop/start mail" command (when you want to make changes live) rather than via the Admin button. I think it was Pterobyte that noted that this is safer (due to GUI caches or something).

IMail: How can I set mail preferences to display actual email address and not short names.

Even though I have it correctly set in Preferences , i.e. "Use Smart Addresses" is unchecked, the addressee automatically changes to the person's name rather than the email address. I am unable to find a way to display the actual email address option on iMail (Yosemite) I do not want nicknames/short names but want the actual email address to display on my address line. Can anyone advise please?

How Can I Use a Gmail Account with Multiple Email Addresses in iPhone Mail?

So I have a Gmail account with 4 POP accounts that it checks... Is there a way to get "Reply From" from multiple addresses?

By setting up your GMail account to forward emails to your iCloud email account address.
You won't be able to reply from your Gmail address from within iCloud though.

When Matching Users Via Email, Changing Email Address Does Not Change Login

Well, the subject pretty much says it all, but here're some examples of what's going on:
Initial Data
- Create 2 Business Partners in SAP, C1 and C2.
- Create 2 Contact Employees in SAP, Adam with email adam at eden.org in C1 and Eve with no email in C2.
Synch
- Run Initial Synch followed by Standard Synch (for good measure).
- Web Tools gets user Adam with username adam at eden.org.
- Web Tools gets user Eve with username 2, the unique key for SAP's Contact Employee.
Data Change In SAP
- Adam's email is removed.
- Eve's email is populated with eve at eden.org.
Resynch
- Run Standard Synch.
- Web Tools changes both email addresses, with Adam's being erased and Eve's becoming eve at eden.org.
- Web Tools does not change the UserID, leaving Adam's as adam at eden.org and Eve's as 2.
That last bullet is the big problem: if a user changes an email address, the username doesn't change. Is there any way to change this across the board, or perhaps even force users to login via their current email address?

Also, there is a field in the Users table called EmailLogin. I have tried without success to change this field so that the user would use this field to login instead of the UserID, but have been unsuccessful in getting it to work.
As an alternative, the login control in /plugins/loginblock.ascx contains, as a portion, the following code:

Again, the benefit to this is that you can synch using the Internal B1 Contact Code, which will remain constant and unique, and have the availability to change the way the user logs in by modifying the email address. Of course, email addresses would have to remain unique as well, but that's an easy enough thing to check for.

Password on iCloud email address does not work

When I open mail on my Macbook it asks me for my icloud password (@me.com). I recently changed that. However when I enter this it doesnt recognise it!
The same password works from my iphone. I simply entered the new password on the email settings.
Any suggestions?

If the old ID ("email address") is your ID, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Jabber call to email address does not allow video because email has no CAPs and it goes ext not int

Jabber, on a cloud based install, does not route the call internal when you hover over the persons email address because there are no caps as in AD (ie [email protected] vs [email protected]) so you cannot use video only audio because we only allow video internal. How can you have webex connect or Jabber use the caps in an email address to allow for internal routing.

I believe by default that SIP URI default to case sensitive. So you can have two users in Callmanager 10x for example [email protected] and [email protected] and be seperate people. In CallManager their is a Enterprise Parameter for URI and case sensitive. Not sure aobut WebEx cloud.
