Can Soap Action be dynamically substituted in receiver side soap Action ?

Hi all
I am trying to place Action in Soap Receiver adapter.
I could see the THeaderSoapAction  and the action I have specified in Dynamic Configuration and that action is not getting triggered
I was going through previous posts and Raj was mentioning that there was some problem with Soap Receiver adapter while dynamically placing Soap Action.
Is it so? Has anyone dynamically passed Soap Action using Adapter specific parameters?
If its cannot be achieved with ASP, What is the best alternate to this ?
Thanks and Regards,
Nikhil.

Have not tried this option, but theoretically it should work using the Adapter Specific message attributes

  • Can I create a dynamic cursor in a program unit on oracle form....

    Hello folks,
    can I create a dynamic cursor on client side ( in a program unit on the oracle form), is it possible, I Know how to create it on server side using Ref cursor, but on client side i got this message (can't be created on client side or something like that).... please if someone can help

    > select count(*) from t_comsis
    <p>But when you put that select string into a varchar2 variable, it won't compile. Which makes it hard to create anything "dynamic".
    <p>In Forms, you can create and populate a record group dynamically, which is ok as long as your select will not retrieve too many (more than several hundred) rows.
    <p>Or, your other option is to use the Forms Exec_SQL dynamic sql package.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to run the sample code "Dynamic Invocation of Oracle9i Web Services using Oracle UDDI registry"
    I was able to run the web services, publish them, and inquiry them using local UDDI registry.
    However, while invoking any method provided by the web services using the inovk method I get the following error

    Can anybody help me please?

    It looks like the problem is occuring on the server side. I guess you have included the stacktrace from the client, can you get hold of the server side stacktrace?

  • Can we configure the dynamic IP address in receiver JDBC channel

    Hello,
    Can we configure the dynamic IP address in receiver JDBC communication channel at runtime.
    Thanks,
    Soorya.

    No, that is not possible.
    The simplest solution would be to define a service and communication channel for each server and then use the receiver determination to determine which service to send to.
    The only other way would be to use a receiver java proxy where you would have to code in the JDBC request yourself.

  • Friends ! Can you please provide step by step procedure for SOAP Scenario

    Can you please provide step by step procedure for SOAP Scenario.
    I want to practice it on my PC.

    Hi
    1.First you need to Uploading the WSDL into the Integration Repository
    For this
    Go to your Software Component Version and open the required Namespace. Create an External Definition:
    In the external definition object, choose Category wsdl and click Import external definitions.
    2.Now create MI.
    In the message interface object, select the message types of the external definition
    object by using the input help.
    3.Creating a SOAP Sender Channel
    Here we have to define the namespace and the name of a message interface (values can be taken from Integration Repository).
    Select the Quality of Service
    4.Creating a SOAP Receiver Channel
    The obligatory parameters in the configuration are Target URL and SOAP action.
    5.Create a WSDL from an Interface Definition
    Finally Test the Scenario Using a SOAP Client.
    Get back if you have some doubts.
    Thanks

    Running PB 12.1 Build 7000.  Using Easysoap.  Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service".  This error does not appear to be coming from the application code.  Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;").  Not sure where these are coming from.  When I do a find within the PB code for ""&quot;" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter".  Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides???   The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited.  Need to get this resolved...please.

    Hello ,
      for Acheiving the Dynamic configuration of receiver file name ,adapter specific message attribute is used...But how to suppress the name of file in the content of the Received file...
    Is my question correct..do we get the file name in content of the receiver file,while using the Adapter specifc message attribute.
    And another question ,in the Variable substitution ...do we get the above problem,then how to tackle the situation to suprress the file name in the payload of receiver file.

    HI,
    You can handle the dynamic file name via Dynamic configuration or with the help of Variable Substitution.

  • Dynamic naming of receiver file adapter

    Hello Friends,
    How to handle the dynamic file naming in XI at receiver side as file naming convention sequence to be incremented for every 1 hour...
    my Client expecting to handle at mapping...How to do this...
    Could any one give me the program if we need to do it in java...
    and pls also give another approach if any
    Setup dynamically ,

    >>as file naming convention sequence to be incremented for every 1 hour.
    Please elaborate this point. I'm again seeing same the question from your side.
    From Variable Substitution you can access only ASMA and can refer the payload element. But in the requirement is something else the you should have to go for Dynamic Configuration in Mapping program.

  • "Do Not Use Envelope"  feature: WS Receiver vs Soap Receiver

    I have a scenario that I need to call web service on receive side.
    When I use Soap adapter, need to use mapping program to compose SOAP message mannully:
    Envelope
       + Header
         ++MessageID
         ++Action
       +Body
         ++FistName
         ++FistName
    In SOAP receiver adapter, I do not use PI envlope, so I have to choose "Do Not Use Soap Envelope" option.
    When I use WS receiver adapter to call the same web service, I could not find the way the Soap adapter does.
    Anyone tried to use same feature in WS adapter ?
    Thanks

    IMO, WS adapter does not provide "Do Not USe Envelope option" in 7.1 as well in  above versions.   You might want to see other experts opinion.

  • Dynamic File Name on Receiver Side using XSLT mapping

    Hi,
      My scenario is a Proxy to File scenario.The File on the receiving side is a TEXT file generated due to XSLT mapping. The file name has to be dynamic like- TEST<DDMMYYHHMMSS>File.DAT.
    If somebody knows how to do the same please help.
    Regards
    Ritu

    Hi Ritu,
    I agree to Krishna.With your XSLT mapping create a XML output which can be converted to a text file with content conversion.
    And for the dynamic file name, i guess its the date that matters which needs to be in DDMMYYHHMMSS format. the same can be accomplished by a Java function and calling it in your XSLT .
    Do refer this weblog it will help you accomplish the same.

  • Help with solution for receiver axis soap multipart

    Hi everybody.
    I've read many questions made by people to this forum with no possitive results to my issue.
    I'm developing a simple scenario : RFC>XI>Webservice in a sync way. I call a FM in an R3
    backend and i must retrieve a string from the webservice.
    First thing i've noticed is that the webservice only works if i set the external definition of it
    in RPC mode. If not, i get the error 'method retrieveData' not found.
    Second thing is that conventional SOAP receiver adapter doesn't work. I must use AXIS option.
    So, i must use RPC mode with AXIS receiver.
    No i've met another problem. When i check sxi_monitor, i have my FM response empty. This is because
    i'm not retrieving the same message that is defined in the webservice. I retrieve a multipart
    message with 3 parts : document-0, document-1 and document-2. I think that response message
    mapping is not working because as document-0 comes a different structure that the one defined
    in message mapping.
    These are the the things i've tried :
    Use of Payloadwapbean in receiver soap axis adapter. I can't put as document-0 the one that has the field i need.
    I tried with ABAP-Mapping but when i try to find the field <name>, is not there.
    Now, i'm thinking in other two solutions. first, develop a module to enhace the SOAP axis receiver.
    First question about this .. will i have the 3 'attachments' so i can get the <name> field?
    Can i use AXIS handlers to get the complete payload (i've read abput it but i don`t understand
    how to do it)?.
    Kind regards,
    Inigo

    Hi again,
    This is what i get in SXI_MONITOR.
    In payloads, i have 3 :
    document-0
    document-1
    document-2
    Double clicking in document-0, i get :
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns1:ZF_ARQ_DOCUMENTUM_WEBS.Response xmlns:ns1="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
    - <DATOS>
      <item />
      </DATOS>
      </ns1:ZF_ARQ_DOCUMENTUM_WEBS.Response>
    This is the answer of the message mapping, but is empty.
    Double clicking in document-1 i get :
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <multiRef id="id0" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="ns2:RetRecuperar" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns2="http://model.servicio.procop.sgce.aragon.es" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
      <datos xsi:type="xsd:base64Binary">SUkqANQAAABX</datos>
    <retorno href="#id1" />
      </multiRef>
    Here is the field i need, 'datos'.
    Finally, in document-2 i get :
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <multiRef id="id1" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="ns3:Retorno" xmlns:ns3="http://model.servicio.procop.sgce.aragon.es" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
      <errorMessage xsi:type="xsd:string" />
      <excepcion xsi:type="xsd:string" />
      <retCode xsi:type="xsd:string">OK</retCode>
      <errorCode xsi:type="xsd:string" />
      </multiRef>
    If i use a test program, such as SOAPUI, i get this answer :
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

          </ns1:recuperarResponse>
          <multiRef id="id0" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="ns2:RetRecuperar" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns2="http://model.servicio.procop.sgce.aragon.es">
             <datos xsi:type="xsd:base64Binary">SUkqANQAAABX</datos>
    <retorno href="#id1"/>
          </multiRef>
          <multiRef id="id1" soapenc:root="0" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xsi:type="ns3:Retorno" xmlns:ns3="http://model.servicio.procop.sgce.aragon.es" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
             <errorMessage xsi:type="xsd:string"/>
             <excepcion xsi:type="xsd:string"/>
             <retCode xsi:type="xsd:string">OK</retCode>
             <errorCode xsi:type="xsd:string"/>
          </multiRef>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    I don't know why i'm getting these 3 documents because in message mapping, the response method of the WSDL is completely different than the message i'm retrieving as the answer.
    Thank you for your answers,
    Kind regards,
    Inigo.

  • (SOAP sender) --- XI ---- R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario

    Hi Experts,
    Webservice(SOAP sender) < - > XI <--> R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario tested with Infopath successfully.
    I have given partner number,student object id are the two input fields(request) and i am getting student number as response. This scenario is working when i use MS infopath.
    I have generated WSDL file embedded with below URL
    http://xxxx.yyytec.passh.ed:7271/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:Webservice_Sender_BS:GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC&version=3.0;amp;Sender.Service=Webservice_Sender_BS;amp;Interface=urn%Apache
    Sender business system: Webservice_Sender_BS
    Sender CC: GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC
    Msg Interface: STU_GET_NUMBERS_Synch_MI
    now we want to test from third party website, what are the things to be provided to the website developer to test the scenario.
    the way i generated URL, is it correct?
    if i provide above URL and generated WSDL in XI , is it enough for web developer to enter the input fields to RFC(r/3) via XI as webservice request and getting back response from RFC(r/3) to webservice via XI.
    can you please advice if any body worked on this kind of scenario.
    Thanks
    Dhanush.

    For the developer you have to provide WSDL file so that they know the input/output fields and write the code.
    URL is correct.
    Other informatino they required is Username and password of you PI system.

  • Can I create a dynamic report in the server without using a report template

    Hi,
    My company just bought a Crystal Report Server XI and it didn't have a report designer.
    I can't start creating report without the designer.
    The question is can  I generate a dynamic report at runtime (on the crystal report server ) without using report template?
    My project requirement is to use a crystal report server to manage the reports.
    Some client web application will just access this report server.
    I  hope the experts can provide me some guidance.

    Edited by: Rulix Batistil on Nov 3, 2008 8:08 AM

    Hi Rulix,
    The latest version of CR Server is 2008. Therefore I'm assuming you are using CR Server 2008.
    New in CR 2008 is the .NET report modification software development kit (SDK). The report application server (RAS) SDK is now available for users of Crystal Reports .NET API without the use of a RAS server. Report modification such as changing, adding, or removing database providers, or adding, removing, or creating report objects, parameters, formulas, and sections can be achieved by accessing the RAS SDK through the Crystal Reports .NET SDK.
    Java developers however receive the JRC and Java SDK documentation through the free Crystal Reports for Eclipse download. This product will be updated on a separate schedule from Crystal Reports.

  • Can I use SOAP calls to remotely access functions on a SOAP server?

    Hi,
    I've used JavaScript and SOAP with "regular Acrobat" (e.g. Acroforms) to connect to a SOAP server, followed by Acrobat automatically setting up functions that I can call from JavaScript that, courtesy of SOAP, are relayed to the SOAP server for execution.  For example, a SOAP server that implements a Temperature function.  After doing the Net.SOAP.connect, my JavaScript magically has access to the Temperature() function, which is then executed remotely on the SOAP server courtesy of SOAP protocol.
    My question is: With Livecycle Designer and it's XFA-based forms, do I have the same ability to programmatically connect to a SOAP server and automatically have JavaScript functions set up that I can call on the server?  From what I've read, there are LC Submit and Execute operations which interact (e.g. exchange data) with a specified SOAP server, but it isn't clear that LC provides the ability to end up with a set of functions that I can call from my JavaScript that are then executed on the SOAP server.
    Stated more simply: Does LiveCycle Designer have the ability to connect to a SOAP server and automatically set up JavaScript functions that I can call (that then get relayed to the SOAP server for execution, followed by the return of data to my XFA-based program)?
    Thanks.
    Dave

    Hi Varma_LC and pguerett,
    First, thank you both for your quick responses!  It sounds like I shouldn't have any trouble using XFA forms and SOAP together.
    Let me ask a related question (not about LiveCycle & SOAP, but just about SOAP).  I'm trying to return two values from one SOAP call.  http://www.avoka.com/blog/?p=998&cpage=1#comment-1692 describes how to do this.  Unfortunately, it's not working for me.
    I'm able to retrieve single values from my SOAP server just fine.  When I try to return two values, the Acrobat JavaScript debugger says both values are "UNDEFINED".  The key part of my code is:
       var IntValue =   // define an int
         soapType: "xsd:int",
         soapValue: "1"
       var NValue =
           n1: IntValue  // n1 is the parameter my SOAP server expects
       var GetTheData = service.GetAllData(NValue);  // Go get the data and populate the GetTheData object
       console.println("GetTheData = " + GetTheData.CmdError + GetTheData.CmdResults);
       Param_1V.value = GetTheData.CmdError;     // This is a text box to display the returned value
       Param_2V.value = GetTheData.CmdResults; // This is also a text box to display the returned value
    Both the console.println & the two text boxes (beginning with Param) print out the same results, namely "UNDEFINED".
    I ran my SOAP client and SOAP server on two different computers, and then used WireShark to look at the SOAP protocol.  The SOAP protocol looks fine, and contains CmdError and CmdResults XML opening/closing tags around the actual data I'm trying to read from the SOAP server. Plus there are GetAllDataResponse and GetAllDataResult XML opening/closing tags around the data XML tags.
    I'm using Acrobat 9 and I developed my SOAP server using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) 3.5.  The same JavaScript program that is unable to retrieve two values returns one value just fine (a different service... call, of course).  In other words, it's being done in one program, not two separate programs.  So, my singular Net.SOAP.connect call seems to be working fine.
    When I do the Net.SOAP.connect, I display the returned services, and GetAllData is listed, so Acrobat JavaScript knows about this particular service.
    BTW, the WCF built-in client works fine in retrieving/displaying the two returned values, correctly detecting and displaying both returned values.  Of course, the WCF client may have different "rules" than Acrobat has in terms of processing SOAP messages.  I've seen differences before between the WCF client and Acrobat.
    Any insights either of you have or anyone else has would be *greatly* appreciated. I've never used try/catch to trap JavaScript errors, if there is some type of error I should logically be looking for, I would be interested in information on that as well.
    Thanks!
    Dave
