Can someone explain the more everything plan with edge up

I have a share everything plan with 4 smartphones and 6 gig of data.  we are soon due for upgrades due to our 2 year contract being up.  I am starting to do some research and am confused on how the more everything plan with edge up works.
questions
1.  do we have to buy new phones to get the discounts offered by this plan?
2.  will my company discount still work with the discounts of the edge up plan?
3.  my 4th device is a year oir so from upgrade elegability do we need to wait or can we put that device on the edge up plan now?
4.  if we upgrade to this more everything plan with edge up do we need to turn in our old phones?
any help would be appreciated.

Upgrading is always exciting, gbright! You can save up to $25 per line when upgrading with Edge. This does require you upgrading your device and accepting an Edge agreement. You will still qualify for your monthly employee discount off the More Everything access charges as long as the plan is $34.99 or higher. Each line has its own contract/edge agreement. You do not need to wait for the 4th line to be eligible to take advantage of Edge or the discounts. If you are eligible for the standard Edge, you do not need to trade in your current devices. You only trade in the devices when it is early edge. I can provide you more details in a private message.
I just sent you a follow request. Please follow back and send me this information in a private message.

  • Can someone explain the Family Share plan pricing to me?

    Hi all,
I am considering switching from AT+T to Verizon, so am trying to sort out pricing before I switch.  I currently have a plan with 4 phones on AT+T with 3000 anytime minutes, unlimited within network, unlimited nights+weekends, and unlimited texting, plus different data plans per phone.
It looks like I would have to do 2000 minutes with Verizon, which is fine, since I don't really hit that as long as there is friends+family and nights+weekends.
But what I can't figure out is the pricing. It says Monthly Account Access (voice for the first 2 lines) is 99.98.  Then 9.99 for each additional line after that.  Does that mean it is 99.98 for EACH of the first 2 phones, so 199.96 for 2 phones, plus 9.99 and 9.99 (19.98 total) for the other two phones, making it 219.94 for 4 phones?  Or does it mean that it is 99.98 TOTAL for the first 2 phones, plus 19.98 for the other two, so 111.96 total for the 4 phones?  Because the second way makes Verizon somewhat cheaper than my AT+T plan, which is good since I am losing some minutes (not to mention an unlimited data plan for 2 phones).  But the first way makes Verizon much more expensive than my AT+T plan, which would be a strong discouragement against switching.
Also, just to confirm, the $30 unlimited texting is for ALL the phones, not per phone, correct?
Thanks for any help!  I know I could call, but I would prefer to get all my facts straight before I start really hashing this all out.

For the 2000 minute plan, you would pay $99.98 per month for the 1st 2 lines, and then $9.99 for each line after that per month up to 5 phones on the plan. (Actually, $80 for the plan, plus $9.99 for each of the 2 phones) So, it looks to me like it would be $99.98 for the 1st 2 phones, and then $19.98 for the next 2 phones, so you would have a voice plan charge of $119.96 per month, and of course, there are the taxes and surcharges that always accompany the service. As far as your minutes, with the 2000 minutes plan, all Verizon to Verizon calls are free, and you can list 10 numbers in your Friends and Family ring that you can call that would not count against your minutes. You also have unlimited nights and weekends, but I am not sure of the start and end times of it.
You are also correct in regards to the messaging, it is $30 / month for unlimited texting from any phone in the family share plan. NOT per phone.
I have the Nationwide Talk and Text plan with 700 Minutes, and my bill runs me $80 plus $9.99 for each line per month and that gives me of course, 700 minutes of voice, and unlimited messages with the phones. This does not include any data plan charges, plus taxes and fees.
Hope this helps.. This is my info on it, I do not work for Verizon, and would check with them to make 100% sure.

I cannot upgrade my phone until March, 2015 even though I recently upgraded my phone to the More Everything Plan.  Am I destined to be a nonuser for three months until I can upgrade. This is very unacceptable as I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for probably 20 yrs!

As a 20 year customer of ours, we certainly appreciate your loyalty Richey_Rich. I know the importance of ensuring you have a properly operating phone. Can you please clarify which button on the device is not working? Is there any physical or water damage to your phone? Any applications that stay running?

  • Can someone explain the hyperthreading settings in cmos (the 4x,5x, etc.)?

Someone once said admitting you don't know something is the first step on the road to knowledge....or something like that
Can someone explain the hyperthreading setting in the CMOS Setup - mine is set to 5x, which I think is correct for my cpu - Venice 3500+, but I don't really know what it does.  What does that setting affect?  I think it was 4x by default, until I loaded optimal settings, and it went to 5x.....

    HT = Hyper Transport
    Q: What is HyperTransport™ technology?
A: HyperTransport™ technology is a new high speed, high performance point-to-point link for interconnecting integrated circuits on a motherboard. It can be significantly faster than a PCI bus for an equivalent number of pins. HyperTransport was previously codenamed Lightning Data Transport, or LDT. HyperTransport technology was invented by AMD and perfected with the help of several partners throughout the industry. It is primarily targeted for the IT and Telecomm industries, but any application where high speed, low latency and scalability is necessary can potentially take advantage of HyperTransport technology. HyperTransport technology was invented in order to unleash the tremendous power of the AMD microprocessors. HyperTransport is planned to bring the computation experience to a  new level.

Apparently this UDF takes two optional parameters so that one
    can define
    (A) a text "qualifier" to use in the CSV file, this is
    usually the
single quote|tick ['] mark - but sometimes one wants this to
    be a
different character and (B) what columns to use in the
    output in case
one does not want to use all the columns in the record set
    in the
    outputted CSV file.
The if statements are checking for these optional parameters
    and if
found setting the values in them to internal variables.
    These
variables are then used in the rest of the logic to create
    the CSV output.

  • Can someone explain the icloud to me please? Where are all my old pictures and how can I see them? Photostream only holds 1000 and when I sync my icloud to my mac it only imports what is on my photo stream.

Can someone explain the icloud to me please? Where are all my old pictures and how can I see them? Photostream only holds 1000 and when I sync my icloud to my mac it only imports what is on my photo stream.

When you enable photo stream on your Mac, in imports photos currently in your photo stream.  However, photo stream only keeps photos for 30 days, even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your device until you delete them.  When you enable photo stream on your Mac, you will only receive photos added in the last 30 days, as the others are no longer in your photo stream.
If you want to get all your old photos on your Mac, save them to your camera roll (if they aren't already there) by opening your photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Once they are in your camera roll, import them to your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Another option would be to create a shared photo stream containing the older photos and invite yourself (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).  Then check Shared Photo Streams in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream and you will see this shared photo stream on your Mac.

  • Can Someone Explain the order of things Using Swingworker?

    Hi:
Can someone explain very clearly the order of things using Swingworker? Please do not refer the SUN tutorials. I am totally dead in the water with a very large application and the order of things is not sensible. Also, if the worker thread is too long, the GUI gets updated, but my progress bar (killed right after in the finished method) remains running in some instances only.
Can someone explain any debugging methods for thread work?
I am a veteran programmer of 19 years and this one's got me. The event dispatch thread returns immediate, the GUI responds well, but the progress bar setVisible(false); ... just after in the finished() method (on Event Dispatch thread) does not go away, continues running, only on very long (large query) work. I'm truly stumped. I have successful applications of the Swingworker use, the progress bar, and everything works fine. Not this one.
Debugging threads is what I need. Or some tool that visually shows threads as the program runs.
    Thanks for any help,
    PiratePete

Thanks. I guess I should count my blessings when using free stuff. But I have been impressed with what the J2SDK has to offer. I have been writing a complicated application that I am going to market and most of my problems have been "design" in nature.
    Thanks again,

  • Can someone explain the code for having the Accordion panels closed?

I located the answer to my own question (how to get all the accordion panels to remain closed when the browser opens) but I still don't understand the answer. Can someone explain this?
This feature is only supported when using variable height panels, so you must pass a false into the Accordion's constructor for the "useFixedPanelHeights" constructor options, and a -1 for the "defaultPanel" option:
    <script type="test/javascript">
    var acc1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion ("Acc1", { useFixPanelHeights: false, defaultPanel: -1});
    </script>

    Hi Angela,
You are right, the only way it will work is by setting the fixed height to false. As for the for the default panel option, -1 is not a panel and if you had 3 panels we could have used the number 3 (panel1 = 0) or 99 or whatever as long as there is no panel with that number. If we had used the number 1 for instance, then the 2nd panel would be opened by default.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can someone explain the tables tab under function parameter declaration ?

    Hello,
when declaring a function, part of its parameter interface is the tables tab. So if in FUNCTION1 i  declare a table: tdraw like draw  (optional)
what does that mean ? does this mean that tdraw will be a table of type draw and at the same time it will be filled up with the same contents as draw has ?
then how can other function (func2) use FUNCTION1 and its table ?
so if inside func2  i also have an internal table AA like draw :
    so inside func2 i say:
    call function1
    tables:tdraw = AA
does this mean that it will assign the result tdraw table of function1 to AA ?
can someone explain details of internal tables and passing them as parameters ?
and which table is assigned to which ?
    thank you

    Hi hassan,
If you are talking about the tables parameter in SE37, when you declare a table tdraw like draw it only means you are declaring an internal table of type draw but the contents are not filled into it.
In the source code of the program you have to write the code to fetch the data to tdraw and do the manipulations accordingly.
Also, the tables you are declaring can be like the input table or can be used for output table.
suppose u have 2 tables tab1 and tab2, tab1 you are going to input the values to it and the calculated values have to be in another table, you can use tab2 as the result table.
    hope it helps.
    award points if it helps.

  • Can someone explain the message about replacing songs when importing a CD?

If this is somewhere, I have not been able to find the answer. When importing a CD, sometimes I get a message that asks if I want to replace existing songs. Can someone explain what this message means? I have tried replacing the songs and not replacing the songs, but I don't see any meaningful differences.
    Thanks!

You should sort the list on the Album column, ideally as Album by Artist. Generally all you need to do after that is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

I have two standalone servers configured on this machine (development box), and therefore two CMS configured to listen on port numbers 16575 and 16525. These are confirmed by the 12th and penultimate line.
Question: Why are another two CMSs also appearing on ports 48300 and 46093 (lines 10 and 11)?
Secondly, I have registered the Desktop Intelligence servers to ports 16535 and 16585 (as shown in lines 5 and 19). They are spawning
child processes on ports 1025 and 1026.
Question: Can I fix the spawned child ports to a fixed range instead of them being selected randomly?

I solved the CMS problem - I hadn't changed the CMS request ports. D'OH! Below are the command lines for the two child processes. Is there any documentation around port number controls?

  • The "More Everything Plan" is ruining my life!  (and adding random data charges to my bill)

    Hello,
I recently changed my data plan a few months ago to the 6 GB Data plan with 2 phones tied to my service when I upgraded my phone to the Samsung Galaxy 5.  For the most part my wife and I have been doing pretty good at keeping the our monthly data usage down to the 6 GB.  On Nov 4th was I upgraded to the new 10 GB my everything plan and ever since that change, my account has been making RANDOM data charges at all hours of the night!  I pulled both my wife's Data Usage report and my own and compared them.
Looking at my wife's data usage below, you can clearly see that there are automated data spikes that her phone went through on the same exact time on different days!  Looking at the dates, these spikes did not start to automatically occur until we upgraded our plan on Nov 4th.  The same goes for my data usage below.  There are multiple days that my phone surged on the same exact time with large spikes of data!  These reports were organized by largest "Unbilled Data Usage" spikes.
These spikes SHOULD NOT be occurring and have nothing to do with what apps we have installed our phones.  We have both filtered our usage by apps on our phones and they do not add up.  What's the point of having a larger data plan, if that data plan just steals MG randomly off your phone for no reason???  Because of these spikes, I have add to pay over $100 in overage fees and in November, I have already had to buy MORE DATA ($20 for 5 GB more) because I was already at 90% of my usage with 2 weeks still to go in the billing cycle!  I need actions and not suggestions.  I'm not the only one with these problems and this needs to be addressed.
    Please help!!!!!
    (Wife's Data Usage)
    (My Data Usage)

You're right, data usage can be confusion...especially when your response above doesn't make sense.
If data usage is counted in 6 hour blocks, then how in the world did Nov. 5th last 138 hours???  Data was calculated 23 times on 11/5/14 and 14 times on on 11/4.  These are just 2 examples of when the data was pulled in in "6 hour blocks of time". Nearly every day in my pulled report this month shows 2 dozen or more times the data was recorded and billed each day. (see below)
Further more, if data usage actually was counted in 6 hour intervals, that still doesn't explain why my phone randomly surged 1.27 GB of data at 5:36 AM in the morning on 11/12/14.  Even if this counted data since 11:36 PM the night before on 11/11/14 night, there's no way I would have used this much data!  Since I work during the weekdays 9-5, I am already in bed at this time and not using my phone.  And it can't be recorded data usage after 5:36 AM, because then what would be the point of having a time stamp in the report?  Where was this data coming from???  (see below)
The timing of my spike in data is just way too coincidental of when I upgraded my data to 10 GB earlier this month.  If you compare our data usage against other months (when I had 6 GB) we didn't have random spikes like we are seeing now.  There is something wrong with the new data plan on our phones, and I really wish someone could clearly point out where these additional charges are coming from.  Please have a representative contact me at your earlier convenience.
