Can someone help me find a workaround to get flash to work in XP Pro 64 bit, like there is a workaround for vista 64 bit?
I am trying to get rid of all my 32 bit apps because the more of them you run in 64 bit the less resources are available.
Firefox has a 64 bit browser they call the Shiretoko build. I love it, it's twice as fast as a heavily tweaked 32 bit firefox. Java has a 64 bit plugin that works with it.
The last holdout is Adobe.
Microsoft is making Vista and Win 7 64 bit as easy and smooth as the 32 bit versions as a means to get people to start using them.
Linux has a way to make flash work with 64 bit.
Remember when we all had a 16 bit operating system and how much better things got with 32 bit?
Adobe, it's time!.. don't you see that?

no the audigy 2 zs is pci based. they have another called audigy 2 zs notebook and that's the one for laptop. if you can't find it from your vendor, you can always try getting it from someone else.

go out and gather together all players you can run on Lion:
MpegstreamClip, with QuickTime pro as the engine you can open and export just about anything.
Flip4Mac, buy it and you can convert and export to wmv. Usefull if you must have wmvs in PowerPoint.

There are quite a few features that I am unable to find in Leopard. Can someone please help figure out where they went or how to work around the following:
In iCal you can no longer open the Info Drawer to allow you to see the details of your events as you click through them.
Previously it only required one click to view Event info and 2 clicks to make an edit.
Now it takes 2 clicks to see info which pops up a window with the details in it.
Furthermore it takes 4 clicks to make an edit. 2 clicks (double click) to open the popup window, one click on the Edit button then a click on the item you want to edit. Plus one more to get rid of the info window. It only took 2 clicks in the Tiger version.
Or you can press the Escape key after you make an edit which commits the edit. Doesn't the Escape key usually mean Cancel? It does everywhere else I've ever used it.

I didn't even know that existed. Regardless, space bar is now bound to Quick Look, so unless you can change it in System Preferences's keyboard section, you might be out of luck.

NetInfo has been removed from 10.5 (probably to achieve the UNIX 03 certification; good riddance, I say). A few features have GUI replacements in Directory Utility, but the rest have been delegated to Directory Services. You'll have to use the Terminal to access most of DS.

I was browsing for some animation software, when suddenly, I remembered I had the full CC bundle. I looked everywhere and could not find it.

I get the exact same problem, and I'm quite sure I have everything enabled. I cannot download directly from a link either, I have to right click and pick "save as" for it to work. If i don't, i get the same picture icon in top left corner.

Anyway, i try to play chess on a gamesite and it tries to load a java aplication, which doesnt work obviously.
I've enabled error showing (or whatever its called) and a rather sucky translation of that message would look something like this (in a windows popup box):
"There's a problem with the website so it might not be shown or work properly. In the future you can show this message..." alot of blaha
then in the information box:

Can Someone Help Me Find The Right KVM?

I have a tough set-up and I'm finding the search to be overwhelming. I'm hoping someone who's been through this before can help me find the best KVM for my needs. Here's what I have:
Apple Dual 553mHz G4
• Upgraded dual montior video PCI card (ADC and DVI ports)
Apple G5 QUAD
• Stock dual DVI ported video PCI Express card
Monitors
• 2 Apple 17" displays (ADC)
• 1 Wacom 18" Display (DVI)
I also have 1 Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter
Can I find a dual monitor KVM to use between these 2-machines and leave the third monitor on the G5 only? How about 3-monitor KVM? What are my options here? I'm so confused by all of this.
i really want the G5 to be able to use all three monitors at once. It doesn't matter to me how many the G4 gets. If the KVM doesn't work I'm just going to suck it up and buy a second video card for the G5 (and DVI adapter) and run all 3 monitors on the G5 and use Remote Access for the G4.

with respects to the dual DVI KVM... there are a couple of options out there.
as far as 3 monitor KVM, there really are no such products, however, there are DVI matrix swtiches that will allow you to manually (or through presets) switch any input to any output, to include mirroring monitors on various inputs. however, with anything DVI, there may potentially be hot switch issues with resolution and synch, handshake, peripheral control, etc...

sorry to just shoot a bunch of links to you. in my experience, i've generally just used VGA for KVM setups and also there are many pitfalls with compatibility in certain setups that are almost impossible to avoid without trial and error and blind luck.

Anyways, my phone got stuck on the palm logo screen, and brought it into a sprint store to see if they could load 1.3.5, but they ended up loading 1.3.1 (doh!). I just want to doctor the **bleep** thing back to 1.3.5, but it looks like palm took it down. I have the 1 kb jar file (that downloads the larger file), but that wont even open b/c the link is down.

I have my whole project in there... plus my portfolio_page div is using a jQuery plugin called Quicksand to filter some thumbnails/videos that I want to have work as well... I can't seem to get ANYTHING to work, except for a neat opening animation! I hope I'm not just a complete imbecile and missing totally obvious things!...
1) I've put a play action on my "portfolio_btn" but it won't play the requested label on my timeline...
2) I've tried linking local font files using the Edge Animate "Add fonts" menu because I was trying to create new button symbols to replace the button text I currently have (Thinking that might be part of issue #1 - Edge won't recognize the font files within the program - the fonts you see are from my original html file)
3) Is it possible to create symbols from my current html document's divs? Or how can I nest my divs into a symbol's timeline?

Can someone help with finding Abode Australia phone number?

This is my first experience at trying to purchase from Abode. I placed an order for my son, educational discount, and went back 2 days later to send his photo ID as required. I thought I did thi when I hit 'review and submit' but nothing happened. I keep being diverted to USA when I try and find a phone number.
It looks like a simple email about a problem to the relevant country (or to any country!) isn't an option??
I wish I'd never ordered it, now I have to wait 5 days to see if they're going to post it or not - when I could go to a sensible site and have no problems.
This isn't worth the $35 student discount! (off their full price). Other sites have a full price almost the same as the student price anyway.

I suspect this is strengthened by the fact that 'b' and 'd' are obviously similar.

I am trying to find a particular app and was hoping someone could help. It was an app i had on my iphone about 2 years ago. It was a photography app that you could take a picture and add a back ground pic and sound. For example one pic that we made was my nephew with bubbles floating all around him and it was playing some kind of relaxing music.
Does anyone know what this app may be?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I do not have it on my computer. The iphone was given to my husband and it was on there before. So I do not know if it was free or paid just that it was way cool, lol.
Unfortunately I actually don't know any of the answers to your questions so I know that's not helpful. the only thing I know is that it has to be a few years old because the app was purchased in early 2009.
I was kinda hoping that maybe someone would recognize it. I tried searching and searching through the photo apps but still have yet to find one that allows you to have a background sound and background effects in the picture....
