Can someone please give me a step-by-step guide on how to embed a video in my Indesign document? I've got CS4 and I've tried to follow Adobe's instructions. Even Creative Suite 4 for Dummies. But I can't get it to work. And yes, I understand the video will only play when exported as a pdf -- not in the indesign document. Help! Donna

When you connect the iPhone to sync with the new computer, a number of things will happen. If the new computer/iTunes does not contain any music, then yes, you will receive a prompt saying this iPhone is synced to another library, and if you continue, you will lose your music. However, you risk losing a number of other things, such as apps, contacts and calendar data. When you ask about photos, any photos that you have on the iPhone that were synced from the previous computer would also be lost. You need to save the photo folder from the old laptop and transfer that to the new desktop. You also need to sync the contacts and calendar to the same supported application that you were using in the past, such as Outlook, unless you are using an outside web-based sync, such as Google. Also, when you first connect the iPhone, it will make a backup, or at least make sure that it does before you attempt to sync, or you will not have a backup of some of the other things, such as mail settings, SMS, and the contents of the Camera Roll. I would import the photos from the camera roll to the new computer before trying to do anything else in iTunes.

To restore the MacBook Pro to factory settings:
1. Make a backup of your files because everything will be erased.
2. Insert the Snow Leopard disc and press the C key while your Mac is starting to start from the DVD.
3. Go to Utilities menu > Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD on the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
4. Close Disk Utility and install Mac OS X -

Are you choosing a different plan before tapping Done?
To downgrade, you should be doing the following:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
Tap Change Storage Plan.
Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.

I went through the same thing. Searched again for another error I was seeing and found this help from Delgadoh and this finally fixed me! He mentioned this article: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376. But I had not read it. I went straight to his instructions below.
If you haven't already tried these steps:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer.
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects. -

Without going into all the gory details, the VI Server basically allows you to get a reference to an object, be it LabVIEW itself, or a VI that resides on disk or in memory. Then, with that reference you can set properties or invoke methods, sort of like ActiveX. For example, when you have a reference to a VI you can execute the "Run" command. This is essentially similar to opening the VI and clicking on the run button. Or, you can specify whether to make the front panel visible or not. You can use a reference to the LabVIEW application to set general properties, like the ones that are in the "Tools->Options" dialog.

That said, there's plenty of documentation that ships with LabVIEW and also many examples that ship with it. This is the first place to look. There are also examples on the NI web site.

You need a "bulk renamer" to do this.
I personally use ABetterFinderRename, but there are cheaper and some that are free. ABFR has a free trial.
Renamer4Mac is cheap. Check the App Store too. -

also you have 4gb of RAM, although thats a good amount, 8GB is slowly becoming the new standard so maybe consider upgrading the RAM if you have the money

2 Problems...
Its getting to the point where i just want to go to Apple Genius and start rageing.
Its a brand new iPod Touch 5g. My old iPod Touch had been replaced just yesterday.
I had a bad day yesterday and by this new problem im not in the best of mood.
I come home all happy because i didnt use my iPod Touch 5g for 2 whole weeks, Plug it into my Computer to found USB not recognized.
I tried everything from knowledge to the Internet but found nothing. Not one them gived me a answer to fix this. Its really annoying because my iPod Touch isnt charging as well.
The weird thing is... when i plugged it into my PS3, at that time my iPod Touch had 20%. My playstation didnt also recognize it. I left there for hours as i played. When i finally finish playing i found my iPod was full charge... It didnt state that it was charging. I would have noticed.
My second problem is the WIFI isnt working probably. All the wifi's i tried it either works for a few minutes than it loses connection or doesnt connect at all.
What is the bloody problem. Is the iPod faulty or is it me.lllaass wrote:

Or replace the router and or modem. High demand can burn out a router in 2 years. Typical life is about 4-5 at most.
The new iPod is more advanced and if your router is slow or inconsistant signal your iPod will stop trying to connect to save your battery.

what I want to do is to be able to add details of the subject and add information but not in the file name, as i find this a useful way to file the history of all my uploads. Have I missed a feature that allows me to do this without being online and before I upload? Hopefully this is not to stupid a question and thanks in anticipation of your help.
BrianHow are you sharing on MobileMe? A MMe gallery from iPhoto or a web page from iWeb? Or ?
If it's a MMe gallery the only info available is the file name. You could add the information to the file name and when the info window for the photo in the gallery is brought up the comments will show at the top and the real file name will be in the data below. The longer file name will show below the large photo in the grid or slideshow but not sure how much will show.

Problem started after I unintentionally downloaded some adware 4 days ago. After lots of aggressive ads slowed down my browser I downloaded and ran AdwareMedic which seemed to do the job and browser was back to normal. Then, possibly a coincidence, everything on the computer started running slower. I've backed up everything and have run a EtreCheck report.
When you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Can someone please help me get the close minamize and maximize buttons back above each video?
I enterened something in terminal that made the top bar on each video with the close minamize and maximize buttons disapear...does anyone know how to get it back? thank you in advanced.
Check the very first post on this forum: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=775514. You didn't mention whether your controller has disappeared also, but it seems like the second or fourth command on that page should help.

Can someone please Interpret this EtreCheck for me? Macbook Pro Boot Time Really Slow.
Can someone please give me detailed instruction on what to do no next. I've read several forum discussion on this subject and seen various examples. i would like help with mine. Reason being is because my MBP boot up time is almost around 2-3mins long sometimes it can even be upto 5mins. reason i ask is because i know this is not normal. compared to my macbook (mid-2010) this is REALLY slow. And all the specs of my MBP should in theory make my MB a thing of the past. (Why i bought the MBP in the first place). i've done PRAM reset and booted in Safe Mode. i've removed several applications using the correct uninstalls where required.
i have ran a terminal commands to clear the kernal caches and got these results (not sure if it will help). And neither have made a difference.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged after the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutesafter the boot time, not before. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post any other kind of diagnostic report, such as hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.
