Can standard workbooks for Process Manufacturing support descriptive Flex?

Can standard workbooks for Process Manufacturing support descriptive Flexfields in Discoverer 10i??
I'm not sure if that is so, and I wouldn't want to create views and folders and then realizing that it could've been done in a standrard fashion.
Can anyone help me please. My email is [email protected]
Thanks
Rafael

Hi,
The question is too generic. Can be specific with examples?
To answer your query, every movement of the goods at stage of WIP can be analysed with the conversion costs incurred till that stage using operation wise confirmation in SAP ECC 6.0. IT support required would that of SAP consultants from modules PP, MM and CO.

Not sure if this is the right forum but any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Seher

    Hello Seher,
as there are several ways in SAP to manage documents I need som emore information to give you a reliable answer:
What is the process you want to support, what do you want to do with the documents?
Do these technical documents have a lifecycle?
What are the requirements to "manage technical documentation"?
What do you mean with "integration"? E.g.: Do you want to link a document to an SAP object?
Where are the documents today, file server?

  • Scenario for Process Manufacturing..

    Dear All,
Our client imports goods and then packages them at their site into different packages and boxes. After that those products are dispatched. The client wants to keep an eye on the status of packaging and for that they require a Manufacturing module.
Can Process Manufacturing be implemented for this scenario or Discreet Manufacturing will be a better option?

    Hi
Both the way you can choose.
As an OPM Consultant, I prefer to go with Process Manuf. Module.
    In your case
    1. Your importing your Finished goods and just doing the packing to these Finished goods
    2. Now this Packed FG, your are now selling to the Customers
When choose OPM, Here you need to create Formula/Recipe using this you need to perform a Production Batch.
In Formula, keep your Imported Item as Ingredient and Packege Item as (may be box/Cartoon/Sheet....etc) Ingredient and Lables(if required) also as Ingredient and with these Ingredients now you want to make a desired Finished Goods as PRODUCT using Recipe in Production Supervisor Module to complete your Batch.
Now your Packed FG is ready to Ship to Customer.
Hope you understood and implement this.

  • Using standard out for Process.java

    hello
I hope I make myself clear with my problem. I want to execute a command using Runtime.exe() on windows. The first step works. I can execute this command:
    net stop server
however sometimes the user will be prompted to input 'Y' or 'N' before completion. That means I have to provide this via standard in. This part I cannot get to work. I will attach my code and perhaps someone can enlighten me where I am flawed. Thank you in advance for any help.
         public void closeServer() {

Thanks everyone for your quick response,
I have the old ODSs built in 3.5 version which used infosource, update rules and transfer rules.
And they are running for the past 6 months now. And they don't have DTP.
My new ZDSO has got transformation and DTP.
If I use the same Infopack for my both the data target, how will I do a full load for my new DSO. will the existing delta process not get disturbed?
    Please advice

  • Call for camera manufacturer support for DNG

Please show your support for Adobe's development of the DNG format as a universal, open file, and for camera manufacturers including DNG as an option for shooting and storing files, by clicking this link: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/dng01/petition.html .
From the Adobe DNG site: ( http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ )
Raw file formats are becoming extremely popular in digital photography workflows because they offer creative professionals greater creative control. However, cameras can use many different raw formats the specifications for which are not publicly available which means that not every raw file can be read by a variety of software applications. As a result, the use of these proprietary raw files as a long-term archival solution carries risk, and sharing these files across complex workflows is even more challenging.
The solution to this growing problem? The Digital Negative (DNG), a publicly available archival format for the raw files generated by digital cameras. By addressing the lack of an open standard for the raw files created by individual camera models, DNG helps ensure that photographers will be able to access their files in the future.
It is time that the major camera manufacturers, in particular, Canon and Nikon as industry leaders, acknowledge and support Adobe's initiative as an industry standard, for the good of the photographic community.

Ramon, the petition isn't really about whether individuals' needs, it's more about the industry as a whole, establishing a standard for photography for the future. One great analogy I heard was using cell phones as an example... the reason I can talk to you on my cell, regardless of the make or provider, is because of industry standardization.
I'd like to think that in 10 years, whether I have a Pentax or not, I could shoot a standard, open RAW format.
    Thanks to those who've signed!

  • Who can I speak for CS5 technical support. I am having issues with the printing custom paper size! please please please help.

Is there any one that can help you on Adobe? I have been on hold twice for 30min and I need help. Contact line is for something else not to happy. I downloaded Yosemite and now my CS5 when I custom print it shuts down the whole program and restarts again. Yes I did restart com+shift+op and yes I restarted computer. And yes called 1800-642-3623 no help. What the heck Adobe!!!!! and now this?????

Provide the name of the program you are using so a Moderator may move this message to the correct program forum
This Cloud forum is not about help with program problems... a program would be Photoshop or Lighroom or Muse or ???
    >downloaded Yosemite and now my CS5 when I custom print it shuts down
CS5 was written LONG before Yosemite was available, and CS5 is no longer updated... have you told Apple that their new operating system breaks your old program?
Yosemite sometimes has problems, often related to "default" permissions needing to be changed

then in second tab Gen individual entry tick Goods movement & termination for incorrect goods movement
    Coming to GR
what is storage location ur giving
just check in MMSC, whether this storage location is activated for the header material ( GR )

  • Oracle Process Manufacturing Release 11i

    Hi there,
Is there a free version of Oracle Process Manufacturing 11i for download? If so what is the site?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Leon

    Hi All,
Here I talk a step to explain about Discrete, Flow, Process and project manufacturing process.
    Discrete:
    1. Assemblies are built in specific (discrete) quantities. These jobs or work orders use specific materials and resources.
Say ship building, job shop companies etc are few examples of discrete.
    2. Assemblies that are made in groups or batches.
Discrete Manufacturing is a Batch production situation related to most industries like Engineering
It use routings to schedule job production activities and create operation specific material and resource requirements.
    Flow:
Flow manufacturing developed to support 'Lean manufacturing'.
    Lean manufacturing concepts include:
JIT, pull, value stream mapping, kanban, single piece flow etc.
This module will enable flow manufacturing concerns.
    Ex: Car manufacturing
    http://forio.com/simulation/oracle/main.htm?page=background&FD_p=1
    http://www.psa-peugeot-citroen.com/en/psa_group/visite/index.html
    Process:
It is purely for process manufacturing concern
Ex: Chemical industry, pharmateicals etc jus think of chemical laboratory.
    Project:
Projects are used to track costs by specifying revenue and billing methods. Each project can have a set of top level tasks, and a hierarchy of subtasks.
As rightly said ETO is example for project manufacturing
    To answer your questions
1- A Steel making Company is under Discrete Manufacturing or not?
Depending the concern manufacturing practice only we can say it as discrete or not.
From the above explanation you can able to understand it.
All discrete industry will adopt few lean manufacturing principles to add value in their process.
2- Can we have Discrete & Process in one organization? because some part of my Org like Discrete Manufacturing and other like Process Manufacturing ?
Yes we can have, say for a final product two or more items may come from both discrete and process types.
Hope it is clear and helpful.
    Tks

    Hi,
The below mentioned process hold good for Discrete as well as Process manufacturing
Let it be normal routing or master recipe
Open routing and select the operation line item
To assign the Trigger Point function press GOTO MENU and then select Trigger Point Overview
enter trigger point usage and description
Now select trigger point usage line item and click DETAILS menu and select "TRIGGER POINT"
Create Routing Trigger Point Details will appear
Select the check Box="Insert reference operation set"; Sys Status=PCNF; Active=1
now on the top Press the "PARAMETERS BUTTON" assign the group and group counter
come back to the operation overview and save

  • How to use copy of standard program for direct input in LSMW

currently we're using object 0085 Purchase Orders and and method 0001 for standard direct input, which is processed with program RM06EEI0
now I want to set an additional flag and avoid creating it by means of BUS PurchaseOrder.CreateFromData1 method (coz the structure is quite different and more complex).
so my question is now how can i assign a copy of the standard program for processing?
for better understanding I've attached a screenshot of the according screen

ok, solution was to maintain table SXDA1 (SAPDXfer: Data Transfer Objects and Sub-Category).
modify entries for DXPRG, DXPR1 and LOADPRG with custom program names

  • BO Analysis standard workbook

    Hi all,
we are migrating some BEx workbooks to BO Analysis for office 1.4. As for our first try it worked really good in our opinion. We just have some question regarding the "got to" functionality and standard workbooks.
We created a standard workbook which we used as template for all our BEx reports. After migration we still have all the template look and feel but we want to use that created standard workbook for all our Analysis reports also when we use the "go to"/ "report to report interface" function.
    For example:
The user will open a report workbook saved within the BW repository. For further analysis he/she wants to "drill down" to another query. With right click onto the table and selecting the "Go to" functionality the desired query is available as we configured all that within the query designer and the BW. By selecting the query, a new workbook opens without any layout or standard workbook look&feel. Just a new workbook with standard excel layout opens and the query result is entered from cell A1 to xyz.
We would love to have that report opened with a standard look and feel but can not find any way for this. Therefore we would need a template or standard workbook functionality so that every Analysis reports which will open, will have that basis template look&feel.
Could anyone provide help for that issue or is this not available in the Analysis version 1.4?
Many thanks in advance and just the best,
    Katja

    Hi folks,
I am customizing a bunch on customer workbooks for my customers in the way you are looking for.
What you need is a mixture between Workbook settings, styles and the default settings being distributed within your installation.
Bad side of AO (currently..hope it will be fixed soon) is, you cannot grab the default workbook from within BW, it has to be stored in a shared network folder.
I am currently writing an article about it ( in detail) but here's the quick version .
Open a blank sheet in AO and define all Excel rellevant settings like e.g. Orientation (landscape, portrait etc) as well as your desired footers headers...
So everything that you may see in your template that is NOT SAP or BO defined:)
    2. select any desired cell for the top left corner of your crosstab and insert any query (just placeholder)
    3. use styles ( AO styles or selfmade styles (should be the default style)) to format your crosstab results like totals, conditions etc.
In case you redefine colors for standars (SAP styles) save your settings as new style e.g. MY_STYLE and deine it as default style
    4. Save that workbook ( remove crosstab result data for confidential reaons from display before) to your desired network path (that can be reached by all AO users
    5. Goto settings and define this workbook as the standard default workbook by selecting the just (bullet 4) saved workbook.
    Now... last and least
Your self defined styles will be saved underneath the following path as shown in picture
the settings for the default workbook will be stored at Appdata Roaming as well (shown below)
Information is being stored in the xml file.
ALternatively, you may pre-configure all settings (styles as well as default workbook via registry
The structure of keys in registry and name of folder in AppData as well as STring value and xml file name is identical ( see pics)
Hope that help my helo you to brighten your day

  • Discrete, Repetitive & Process Manufacturing

    Hi,
Can discrete, repetitive and process manufacturing operations exist in one SAP client i.e. some products / plants follow discrete manufacturing setup, some products / plants follow repetitive manufacturing setup and some products / plants follow process manufacturing setup? If yes can some one share the control factors for each of the process flows.
    Regards,
    Arun

    Arun,
There is absolutely no problem in having all the PP Process in a single client. Basically the products would be driven based on the material master defination and the associate PP master data created for the products.

  • Design for process flow in OWB

    Hi Experts
I want to design my process flow. Please send the processflow design template/Document.
    Regards
    frnd

You define an Oracle Workflow location to specify where you want to deploy your process flows. The Oracle Workflow location points to a workflow schema that runs in the target database. Warehouse Builder process flows comply with the XML Process Definition Language (XPDL). When you generate a process flow, Warehouse Builder generates an XML file in the XPDL format. You can plug the generated XML file into any workflow engine that follows the XPDL standard.
Process Flow Modules include Process Flow Packages that include Process Flows. The Process Flow Package is a grouping mechanism that determines which process flows you can interrelate. At run time, you can launch one process flow that launches other Process Flows that exist in the same process flow package.
The Process Flow Module acts as a container by which you can validate, generate, and deploy a group of Process Flows.
So, it concludes that there is no standard design for process flows, it all depends to your datawarehouse and your ETL process(extracting, transformning. loading)
