Can't access more than counters 0 & 1 on my 6602 board
When I use the Count Events or Time.vi at the "easy" counter level on the functions palette I can use counters 0 & 1 but when I try counters 2 through 7 I get the error message -10020 occurred at CTR Mode Config. : Timebase is invalid. When I dig down into the vi I see that it uses subvis associated with AM9513. I thought I read somewhere that those vis can only read the lowest two counters on a TIO board. Is that right or should I be able to access the other counters with the Count Events or Time.vi?
Since this is a NIO counter I tried a TIO counter example from the ni site called Buffered Event Counting(8).vi (this is a LV 6.0 vi for TIO counters)and I immediately get the error -10242 occurred at Counter Group Config.: The specified function is not located in the driver. I let the parameters as default except device number which for us is 2 and the PFI line to 39 (source counter 0).
I need to do event counting with eight counters. Do you have any suggestions?

If I use the examples for counting events for AM9513, for example Count Event-Easy (9513).vi, the vi runs fine if the counter is 0 or 1 but not if it is anything higher I get the error code -10020 (as I described in my original posting). I have also tried using the Count Events-Int(9513) example vi and get the same behavior.
I found a library called multi-countervis.llb that seems like it would have what I want but I don't have the multi-counter subvis. I found this library in http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/807/lang/en a document about updating the Counter Palette. However, this only works for the Windows OS. Is there something for the Mac 9 OS.
Also, I don't understand why I can't use the TIO counter vis on my 6602 board. Whenever I run one of these example vis I get -10242 indicating that I don't have the drivers even though I've downloaded the ones you sent me in your first reply.

I reported DBA and asked DBA to improve.
My DBA said Oracle 32 bit version was installed and Oracle 32bit can't access more than 4GB system memory.
Is it true that Oracle 9.2.0 32bit for Solaris can not access more than 4GB memory?
32bit CPU and 32bit OS might have problem in access big memory.
But I never heard Oracle 9 running on 64bit Solaris box can not access more than 4GB.
Specially on Sparc 64bit chip and Solaris 9 64bit version.
I searched forums and could not find good answer. I believe it is rather obvious.
Please help me on this. I will be greatly appreciated.

So, it is true that 32bit Oracle is limited by 4GB RAM.Nope. 32bit almighty anything is limited to (max) 2^32 virtual adresses on a vmm system.
Often there is also some split where memory is divided into system and user areas, where user (program) has e.g. 2 or 3GB. All this works regardless of amount of RAM available 0.5 or 512GB.

My understanding is that I cannot install an internal hard drive larger than 128 in a g4 sawtooth.
Do I have to install it as an external, or is it possible to use it as an internal 250mb.

You can add additional drives down the line if you desire. The best advantages of the card option is that it natively supports large drives; provides a faster drive bus that the ATA-66 bus that's on the logic board; and it also provides this faster bus operating independent of the native one, meaning that when your two drives need to communicate with the CPU, one doesn't have to wait for the other as would be the case if both drives were on the same bus/ribbon cable. Secondarily, if (heaven forbid) your native bus goes bad, the one on the card will continue to let you use the Mac. The software solution doesn't allow for any of the above, except for the use of large drives.
The Newegg site has an Acard ATA-133 PCI card which is Mac-compatible for roughly $60 and is pretty widely used, but the Sonnet still seems to be the card of choice for most folks here.

bridge mode seems to only work with pppoe connection to internet which is what my set up is
But you've never said why you're using bridge mode (I'm not), which -- as I've explained before -- is probably the reason you can connect only 1 client at a time.
If you'll setup the AX as a regular, main base station, connect using DHCP, and share IP addresses, you should be fine. -
I have an iPad 1 and have a profile set up with Lotus Notes for work email. As I travel around the world I want to install a VPN ( my companies uses a VPN but it is only for work) so I can visit blocked sites. When I install the VPN it want to change the profile. I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family. While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick. First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices. In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads. We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac. To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way. A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well. With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc. So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts. My wife and I do the same thing. To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts. Here is the downfall to this: When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc. To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices. I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.

If my Mini is running 64 bit can I run more than 4Gb RAM?
I hear ALL over the place that the mini can not use more than 4Gb RAM.
Is this a hardware limitaion of the motherboard/Processor?

skibumMost of the Minis are limited to less than 4GB and that is a hardware limitation. The newest Mini with the nVidia video can access more. Apple only supports 4GB because they use matched DIMMs, which on paper have a slight performance improvement over unmatched DIMMs. For whatever reason, Apple doesn't yet support 4GB DIMMs in the Mini. (I suspect that the power requirements or prices for the larger DIMMS may have affected Apple's decision.)
If you do have an appropriate Mini, then you can get compatible 4GB DIMMs from [Macsales|http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/mac-mini> or others. Regardless, although I normally trust Macsales, more than 4GB is not supported by Apple, so you have to take that in to consideration. (i.e.: warranty from Apple or Applecare.) -

No more than five computers can be authorized at any given time. Computers can be individually deauthorized by using the Deauthorize Computer function; once a year, you can deauthorize all the computers without needing access to them.

Are you trying to ask if there is a file manager that is optimized for this sort of device? or are you trying to ask if there is an alternate way to manage the device's configurations such as SSH? Because outside of SSH the web interface is going to the only place to manage the device's configurations

Can you have more than one ipod on the same computer?
me and my sister live together and we would like to be able to have two seperate libraries on the same computer. one library is already there and when the second ipod is plugged in, it comes up as a sub-library that is unacessable.
There are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
a) Sharing a single iTunes library and or user account or
b) Creating multiple user accounts.
Note: When you are sharing an iTunes library, you don't have to set each iPod to update in the same manner, you can mix and match from the options below as each iPod has it's own update settings
Sharing a Library and/or User Account
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):
Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. Or you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod

It's also possible to have multiple libraries in a single account. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key (or Shift key in Windows) when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library:

Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
