Can't add PCI-GPIB board in Windows 2000.

Installed software:
NI-DAQ v6.9.2
NI-488.2 v1.7
MAX v2.2.0.3010
After physically installing the PCI-GPIB board and booting, Windows 2000 recognized the card and configured it such that it shows up in Device Manager. Device Manager shows "This device is working properly."
However, when I double-click on GPIB in Control Panel I get the message, "No GPIB interfaces present in the system."
If I open MAX and do a refresh the card does not show up. If I right click on "Devices and Interfaces" and click "Create New", select "GPIB Interface", click Finish, select PCI-GPIB, I get "The PCI-GPIB is a plug and play interface and requires no manual hardware configuration for installation. You should now install the interface i
nto your system."
What's wrong?

I phoned NI tech support and they said although NI-488.2 v2.0 recommends version 2.6.1 of NI-VISA, it is not required and still should work OK. Also, as of this date, version 2.6.1 has not been released.
The good news: I installed NI-488.2 v2.0 and the card is recognized by NI-MAX now. Installation note for anyone else trying it: I installed the software on a fairly fast 1.3 GHz PC. So after installing the board and booting the PC, the NI Add Hardware Wizard started running before Windows 2000 had completed its installation of the board. The wizard's first attempt failed to find the board. When I clicked "Retry," the wizard found the board and it tested OK.

If you have a PCI-GPIB card, you needn't worry about the USB port or whether or not Windows ME supports 1394. All you need in NI-488.2 version 1.70 from National Instruments. Install this driver and then insert your card. Windows should detect the card and find the proper driver.
If this did not happen in the proper sequence, look in the device manager and see if the card was installed as an "other device". If this happens, remove the card in the device manager and have windows redetect it. If this is not a solution, you may consider the ask an engineer page at www.ni.com/ask. Provide as many details as possible.

Can't add Album Art on Covert Window

Hi.
When I select various items of an album and in the covert art window try to add a covert to all them together ( with "Item selected" active on the window ) it doesn't allow me to add the picture. If I do it to an active track, it works. If I do it selecting "Show Information" in the pop up menu, it works, but the problem is that I can't add a secondary covert art this way. I was able to do this in all iTune's previous versions, but not now. Is this a bug? I have been checking all my preferences, even enabling and disabling them but nothing works.

Yeah that's probably a bug - I used to always select all songs in an album and then drag/drog a pic from the finder to the artwork window without a problem - Until I upgraded to latest iTunes 7 - now it doesn't work...
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next revision...

Can't add vids to Itunes with windows vista

Can anyone tell me why I can't add any vids from my computer on to Itunes. I have tried dragging video file on to Itunes but that doesn't work. Any ideas?

Heres the fix. I had to manually download iTunes 10.5.1 from Apple's website. For some reason it wasn't auto updating. After i finished installing, I opened iTunes, went to Store>Turn On iTunes Match. It prompted me to add my computer, and it went through the process.

Can I add file size to spotlight window?

Currently the only file information that displays is name, kind and last opened. I'd like to get the file size to display as well to help me ID which version of files I want. For that matter can I add other parameters to the sortable bar at the top of the file list (even if they're not searchable parameters).

Tell all your friends and relatives to do the same. Enough people complained about the downgraded powers of Stacks so that Apple brought back the Tiger functionality that had been eliminated. Perhaps if enough people complain about the crippled Spotlight GUI we will see some of its former functionality returned.

Why can't I download Shockwave 11 on Windows 2000

I have a Windows 7 but I'm trying to update some plugins that keep popping up on every page that loads on my mom's computer saying it needs updating. (The computer only runs slow when it pops up which drives me crazy) She has a Windows 2000 and Shockwave has to be updated to Shockwave11 (she has 10.1 ). I tried to install it but when i do I get an error message that says
"Adobe Shockwave Player is unsuported on Microsoft Windows 2000. Adobe Systems Inc does not verify the behavior of Adobe Shockwave Player on this platform. Please see the technote http://www.adobe.com/go/kb40332 for more information"
Then it asks if i wish to continue and another error pops up and basically I have to abort the installation. Adobe says that Shockwave 11 can be installed on Windows 2000 but I would have to install "Microsoft GDI+library" for it to let me install it. I installed them and I still get the same message. What do I do???

I remember getting the same message when I still had Windows 2000 a few years ago. Continuing from that message always installed Shockwave Player 11 successfully.

Can not install Oracle 9i R2 on Windows 2000

I can not install Oracle 9i R2 on Win 2000. It failed at 48% with this message.
Error in writing to file C:
\oracle\ora92\oem_webstage\oem_webstage_8.jar
I tried by copying the 3 disks to my hard drive and reinstall but not success.

I've been able to install 9iAS on Windows 2000 - I have the Origin database on a Solaris machine.
Your best bet is to have all 3 folders Disk1/Disk2/Disk3 on your computer and the run the install from there. I didn't have the disk space on my computer and ran it from a shared drive.
I'm currently in the post install section trying to Configure cache, and wondering if it's still working or hung up.
The 9iAS Installation took 3 1/2 days to run - I have a 300 Mhz PC with about 380 RAM. The Cache Configuration has been running for over 26 hours.
I don't know if this helps but I hope it does.

How can i intergarate eclipse with tomcat using windows 2000?

i'm using Eclipse 3.0 with sdk 1.4, i downloaded Tomcat and configured it for plugin to Eclipse. But yet i can't start the Tomcat server.
if any one can help me please of how to configure tomcat or the proper installation in windows 2000.

Can Crystal Report Server Embedded works on windows 2000 and 2008 server?

It seems that CRSE 2008 supports windows 2003 series only from support platform document and windows 2000 sp4 was removed from the support list from this version.
May I know is there potential risk to run it on windows 2000 sp4? Again, How about windows 2008?

Can't add users' home folders to Windows Libraries - "unindexed network location" error

I am unable to add our users' home folders to their Windows Libraries on client PCs. Windows is giving an unindexed network location error.
This worked perfectly fine in WHS 2011, but is failing on WSE 2012 R2 Essentials.
I've checked the indexing settings on the server, and the correct locations are in fact being indexed.
Since several of our clients have limited local storage, I can't solve this by turning on Offline Files.
Is this behavior by design, or am I seeing a bug?
I'm guessing that on WHS 2011 the user folders are special-cased somehow, as normally one would need to include the share root in a library for federated indexing to work correctly. What is it about WHS 2011 that makes this work, and is it possible
to replicate these settings on our WSE 2012 R2 server?

No, our clients are not domain joined.
To clarify, I'm not trying to redirect local folders, but rather to add the (automatically provisioned) user folder on the server to local libraries. Federated search does support this scenario in WHS, so I assume it should work in WSE.

There are settings that you can set when the ipod is connected to itunes that you can set on how the tv shows and movies load onto the ipod.
1. Open itunes and connect the ipod to the computer.
2. Find one of the tv shows that are not moving over to the ipod and double click on it to play it. If the computer is not authorized to play the content, a window will open for you to put in your account name and password to authorize the computer.
if your ipod is set to automatically sync with itunes, follow these steps
3. once the video or movie plays on the computer. Click on the ipod on the left hand side of itunes so that you see a summary page on the right side of itunes.
4. at the top of the summary page, you will see a row of tabbs, click ont he tv shows tab.
5. then select how you want the tv shows to load onto the ipod.

3. drag and drop the tv shows or movies onto the ipod on the left side bar of itunes.

Can't add graphic to podcast submission window

I posted a video podcast to iTunes but I can't drag a graphic into the submission window. I am using Freestyle so its the skateboarder. When the podcast appears in iTunes it just has a grey square graphic.
Any ideas?

Here is what the help page says.
Make sure the "Allow Podcast in iTunes Music Store" checkbox is selected >and >then choose File > Submit Podcast to iTunes.

If you have artwork you want to appear with your podcast, drag it to the >graphic placeholder at the top of the Submit window.
Click “Publish and Submit.”
In the freestyle template there is a graphic of a guy jumping on a skateboard. I am guessing that this photo is the "graphic placeholder" I still can't replace that photo.
The update didn't change anything in this submit podcast window that I could see.

Can't add computer to iTunes Match (Windows)

I subscribed to iTunes match and got a confirmation email. When I click on "Add this computer" on iTunes, a box pops up prompting for my password. I enter it, and the iTunes status bar briefly flashes "accessing iTunes store" but then nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong, and am I the only one having this problem?
