Can't add Serial Number

Iwork installs up to the point of adding Software Serial Number. As soon as that window opens even prior to putting in serial number the button at the bottom that is operable is the Cancel Button. How do I resolve this. I just bought the program for my I MAX.

The cancel button will be the only one operable until you have entered a valid serial number. Go ahead & enter the number &, if you have entered as expected, the other button should become operable. If it doesn't, take a look at my user tip, Peggy, "iWork serial number tip", 11:33pm Feb 16, 2005 CDT, paying particular attention to the number zero & the letter O.

I activated my product in August of 2014. I had it a few months, October, when my computer crashed. Therefore I had to go back to Adobe tell them what happened, and then until December I had noticed that it said that I had a trial copy. I was not worried, as I had the serial number. it was working, but in January I got a message that my "trial" copy had expired.
At that time I had contacted Adobe and was told that because it was beyond the 3 months, they would no longer help me.
Therefore, at one point, when the computer crashed, I had not deactivated the program. But Adobe had gotten it working for me again.
I do not know what happened between October and December to have changed the software from a real copy to a trial copy.
Now to your patient questions.
As you wrote, that is what happens to the point of getting the trial copy, but when I follow the process through, I get a message that my "trial copy has expired". When I go the the editor, the whole process loops again, sign in, trial copy, licence page, add serial number, then the message that the trial has expired.
When I got that message the first few times months ago, I went back to the Adobe web site and downloaded another copy. (I have done this numerous times) It still said that I had a trial copy and that it had expired, there is a box to licence this software, when I click that, I have to sign in again, This time I also had gone to the Adobe web site signed in and left it open, while I put in the serial number, hoping that would help (have also tried that before). It waits and then the Editor/Organized box comes up again. When I go to the Editor, it tells me that this is a trial copy which has expired and it starts all over again.
I was so frustrated, that I waited a couple of months to try it again. The thinking was that there was some glitch that would work it self out and I could again down load a clean copy of the original, not a trial. (I do not know how I keep getting a trial copy of PSE 12, as it is not even offered on the site.)
The crazy thing is this morning when I turned on my computer, I had an update for the Adobe PSE 12 and Camera Raw. Probably because I had downloaded a copy again.
When I go the the web site to down load a copy of the PSE !2, I am doing it from the My accounts/ products page and downloads. I have left the web page open to copy the serial number from that page, although it always matches my notes.

How to add serial number contolled item with serial numbers in sales order.

Hi OM Functional Experts,
I need a help on sales order booking.
We have serial controlled items in our inventory. At the time of booking a sales order, we need to call the items with the appropriate serial numbers [ for example, if i book an item for a qty of 10, then, the system should get the details ( serial number ) of the 10 item's serial number ].
And the serial numbers are Pre-defined by the organization for their internal tracking from the porcess 1 till end of the assembly line.
The purpose of this step, is to reduce the particular serial numbered item from the inventory, when we reserve/pick release the sales order.

OK. Unfortunately reservations cannot be created at the serial number level. So the unsupported way of doing this is updating the mtl_serial_numbers tables. I hope you would know (by some means) which serial numbers you want to allocate to a specific sales orders. If you know, update group_mark_id column in mtl_serial_numbers table with your order_line_Id, This will avoid any one from picking the serial numbers (they will not come up in the LOV or will not be auto allocated).
But you have to make sure to take it off when you actually want to pick this order line and allocate this serial number. So just before you pick release/ confirm this order line you need to update column back to null so that you can allocate that serial number.

Depends where and how you purchased them. I don't believe you can get the serial number / product key out of the software at all. If you bought from Adobe online you can log into your account and should be able to get them from there.

Can a Windows serial number be used on a Mac for CS6?

I recently purchased CS6 for a Mac and the seller accidentally sent me a Windows package. If I download CS6 from Adobe, can this same serial number be used to activate the programs on my Mac or do I need a Mac package with matching serial number? Thanks in advance.

Mac app store software does not contain serial numbers since they are linked to your AppleID.

Purchase the upgrade.
When when you run the LR5 installer it will see you have the Mac app store version and it will get a serial number from Adobe to use for LR5.
