Can't check Lumia Amber update after hard reset no...

Hi,I recently hard reset my phone , And I am having problem checking update in my phone it says error code : ******** . I have successfully updated my phone before I have hard reset it . Do you have a solution for this ?

When was the last time you update your device?
Can you provide us the error code? If it is found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2793339, suggest to check and do the corresponding solution provided on the link as well.
As this works for some, try to enable and then disable the airplane mode under Settings. After this, manually check for the update again.
Let us know if this works or not.

have you tried soft resettig the phone, and also checking that you have the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store?

Lumia Amber Update Error

I have a Lumia 820 and updated the firmware to the Amber update yesterday, about half of the new features aren't on there and it has removed some features that were on there before. Most noticably the double tap to wake. I've tried rebooting and it still comes up with the same firmware number (8.0.10328.78). Checking for software updates says it is up to date too. How can I reinstall the Amber update?? Thanks.

Go to Setings> screen + touch > select touch... than tick the box on Double tap to wake
If you still need to reinstall Amber, do a hard reset to your phone... Setings > About > reset your phone

Unable to check for Amber update

I am unable to check for Amber update on my Nokia Lumia 520 device. Whenever I click on option 'Check for updates' under 'Phone update' I am getting a message "We are currently unable to check for updates. (80072ee2).
I am using Idea 2G network & also tried on checking the status via Wi-fi connection but didn't work.

I had the same issue and this got fixed after i did a HARD RESET to my windows phone and setting the screen go off time to "NEVER" so this does not locks the screen and the update screen does nt go off.
IF YOU DON'T WW+ANNA RESET YOUR PHONE, just try to set the lock screen time to "NEVER" and try to update. If this works, then well and good ! but if it does'nt, then it SURE will do after a hard reset!

Downloading Lumia Amber Update

I recently had to do a hard reset on my Nokia Lumia 928, and thus lost all of Nokia's updates as of June 1st, 2013, which also includes the Lumia Amber update. It says in settings>phone update that I'm up to date, but I know that I most certainly am not up to date.

Isn't it showing 'Lumia Amber' under settings-->extras+info ?
If you are missing the features of Amber then install THIS application and thru' it update all the System Applications. Then check again ..

Battery after hard reset on Lumia 800

Hi
A few days ago i did a hard reset on my Lumia 800. Since that everything was great, the only reason why i did it, to restore the default settings. After that i updated the firmware to 12070 via Zune. Since that day, my phone doesn't really know how much percentages are left from the battery. Sometimes It's showing a consant value for a long time, then suddenly begins to drain, and after a few it stops. It often happens, that it shows a value, and after an hour it shows a higher value (in percentage) than beforehand.
Today I let It to discharge to 0%, and then i pluged it to the charger. When the phone turned on, it showed me 5%.
It's lifetime havent changed so spectacularly, but i guess its a bit shorter with the same usage.
Is this behaviour normal after hard reset?

After update my lumia 800 is failing to recongnise earphone. It keeps playing music on speaker. If I restart my phone then for few mins it is playing music in earphone. But after few mins once again music playback is starting through speaker.
what should be the problem? will hard reset solve this problem? If yes, how to hard reset nokia lumia 800.

I'm dying for lumia amber update for my 820.Microsoft release its GDR 2 update.but i can't download it to my phone,,coz nokia did't launch it.please hurry n release the AMBER UPDATE as soon as possible.I'm really curious about it.PLEASE RELEASE IT ASAP

The Amber Update was available TODAY for any WP8 phone but once NOKIA got wind of it they shut it down fast. They will leave us 810 owners in the dust EVEN thought those who downloaded the newest version on their 810's
HAVE NO issues whatsoever. NOKIA wants it to be exclusive to just few models and not all WP8's
And that's too bad 810 owners buy a Lumia 810 and 5 months later NOKIA won't provide updates. Nice.

Software can't check for an update because of a network problem

Since I updated to Lion I keep getting this http://grab.by/cKz4 [Software can't check for an update because of a network problem window] everytime I click on Software update in finder. Also I get the same window when I try to open the App Store app.... my internet connection works fine and I previously updated with the direct stand alone downloads from the Apple site.
I downloaded the new 10.7.2 like this as well as the iphoto update.

just did a bit of a search and discovered that it was Little Snitch that was the problem.... you have to update to the latest version [or switch it off for software before using software update]

8350i uncaught exception java.lang.NullPointerException after hard reset

basic info:

v4.6.1.204 (Platform 3.0.0.73)

everything is good except that i've been using two batteries, one in the phone and one in a charger. when the phone's battery is almost drained i swap it with the charged one which of course causes a hard reset.
this procedure was working well for at least a week or two until last month when i swapped batteries - after the hard reset i got
uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
i could make calls but all other software seemed corrupted... virtually nothing else worked... icons missing etc.
tried all sorts of solutions but the only thing that fixed it was a full on device software erase/reload, then a data restore from previous backup. at the time i figured it was just a random thing and was glad to learn how to do a complete software reload.
then yesterday it happened again (again, immediately at the end of the security check after hard reset). now i'm afraid to swap batteries because it would appear that every time i hard reset there is a 10% (my guess) chance of software corruption and a complete reload takes a significant amount of time.
has anybody else noticed this? does anybody have a solution?
can i swap batteries without a hard reset; i.e. swap while plugged into power? i haven't tried this yet for fear of causing my BB harm.
any help is appreciated,

When you have done selective backup do the following.
On your device go to: Options - Security Options - General Settings

Ovi Store Not Installing after Hard Resetting c7

Hello Nokia. M from India and new here... Plz help me. After hard resetting by three buttons (home,volume,camera) everything gone like ovi store,ovi maps, social,and many other apps in video and tv.and now when i m installing ovi store it says unable to install.. Hey Frnds Ovi Store Is Working.............yupppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Finally it installed on my c7 and n8 too......
What should hv to do(for those whose ovi is unable to install):
* just Format your phone via *#7370#
* And after that no need to install any qt etc software,just check for SW update in your device.
* And it will show an update of ovi store about 15 MB .
* Thats it.
why it was not showing an update before?
ans. because i hv installed qt 4.7 and qt webkit.so SW update wasn't showing any update.

N8 Cant remove Topapps even after hard reset

Hi,
Few hours ago I just bought a new N8. It has in it TopApps and Ovi store, I wanted to remove Topapps but it continue to deny the operation. I tried soft reset, hard reset and in the ned 4 buttons reset. I tried also few solutions offered here in nokia forum but still without any sucess. I cant remove TopApps or Ovi Store even after hard reset, the maps are also here - I thought that these apps will disappear after hard reset.
In applications I got 3 ovi store related apps installed - ovi, Ovi notifications support package and Ovi Store. Social network app is not working too, its showing me service unavailable. Any ideas ?

Nokia Store or rather Ovi Store is not deletable or uninstalabe as this is one of the applications that is necessary to enable you to download and update downloaded applications to your Nokia N8-00 Belle. If you try to delete or unistall you get the message operation denied so its better if you leave it.
Concerning hard resetting, any time you feel like hard resetting your device use *#7370# followed by 12345 as the default security code unless you have manually changed it but always remember that it will delete all user data from both drive C and E hence a backup of your data with the phone settings unticked or not selected is strongly recomended before hard resetting and also note and remember that after hard resetting always reinstall your firmware to avoid having an unstable device.

IPod won't start after hard reset - help appreciated

I had a problem with syncing my iPod with iTunes. I connected and it strated syncing alright. After a couple of seconds everything froze. Smart as I am I thought there might be some errors on any of my disks the syncing process is reading from. Couldn't find anyhting though. My secodn guess would that I just bought a new external hard drive to which I transferred my library (maybe the iPod didn't knwo where to look).
So my best guess was to perform a hard reset and re-sync everything. So I hooked up the iPod and quickly pressed the stop syncing button before nayhting could freeze. That worked well. You probably can guess what happened when performed the hard reset.....everything froze. And now.....my iPod is trying to restart, but at a certain point I hear the drive disconnect and starting up again. This keeps repeating over and over again. Hooking it up to my macbook has no avail. Any suggestions?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
