Can't delete or insert pages, help?

I have made some corrections to a Word document that I previously made into a pdf document.
I saved the Word document to a new pdf with a new file name.
However, this time Adobe will not allow me to delete pages nor to insert pages nor to alter the text in any manner.
Those options are all greyed out.
I do not have the original word document on any kind of required permissions.
For some reason, the pdf has missing text at the top of 3 pages in succession. I'm trying to delete those 3 pages and replace them with a page one at a time. I had to do this once before to the earlier version, but that time I was allowed to add and delete.
Please tell me how to fix this annoying problem.

You inadvertently created a PDF/A document. It's probably selected in your PDFMaker Joboptions settings. Now in Acrobat 9.x it is the default to view in "PDF/A" mode which does not allow editing.
To workaround the editing issue in Acrobat:
1. Go to Edit>Preferences>Documents>PDF/A View Mode
2. Select "Never" from the pop-up menu.
3. Click the OK button
Now you should be able to do what you need to do.

Lion Preview can't delete or insert pages to a PDF document

I have the following problem: I open a PDF file in preview. I delete some pages as I used to in snow leopard. Then I save it. The document's page count changes to the correct number in the window title bar. However, if I open the saved version after closing the current window I see that nothing is saved at all! The same thing happens when I try to insert pages to a PDF document. Looks like everything is fine, but when I close and reopen the document no changes are saved. The weird thing is file is modified, i.e. preview saves something but not my changes. It just re-saves the original document.

NUMACER's answer worked for me as well guys ! Didn't need to save a version, it just keeps it like that. I tried saving a version which saved on the same file instead of creating a new one (i know that since I saw the "Last modified" thing being updated at the same time) !

That means the hard drive of your computer is full, and you don't have enough free space on your computer, to do what you are trying to do.
You need to clear up space on your computer.
If you hard drive is full, check the following places to ensure they are not holding unwanted data.
- your trash can in the dock
- if you use iPhoto, your trash in iPhoto - launch iPhoto, and select trash in the left hand column. iPhoto has it's own trash, and is often overlooked
- your download folder - finder / home user / downloads - every time you download something, it stores it here. This is often overlooked as well
- do you have more than one user on the computer? If you do, ensure they are needed. If not, delete them, and the contents of their home folders
If you hard drive is very full, you may want to consider the following:
- putting in a newer larger hard drive - (call you local apple store for prices on this)
- deleting data off your computer
- moving data to an external drive - (iPhoto Libraries, iTunes Libraries or iMovie events, as they are the biggest space hogs)

We want to make sure that we get your phone up and running. Can you look to see where you have the most stuff stored at. Settings>General>Usage>Storage.
This will tell you what exactly is using everything. Then you can delete things from there.

Can you delete the last page of a document with a script?

Hello, I have been building a script over the last week to help me remove formatting and reapply some of that formatting on a large number of files. I am still learning alot about how to build scripts and what the commmands are but I am almost doen with everything I need to put in it. One of the last things that I want to add is to delete the last page from the Indesign file whether it has content or not. Is this possible? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Something like this:
if (app.activeDocument.pages.length > 1)
app.activeDocument.pages[-1].remove();
First check if document contains more than one page, and if does, remove last page.

Can't Delete Graphic or Page in Pages '08

I've got a document that is nothing more the a large jpeg on each page.
On one page I can't delete the graphic OR the page.
When I select the graphic and hit delete nothing happen. Can't even resize it. When I switch the graphic to Floating in the inspecter, it allows me to "apparently" delte the graphic. I can also resize it. But when I do, there's another copy underneath!
I can make the graphics floating and delete these over and over but there's always another copy beneath it.
I'm using 10.6.8 on a Mac Pro '09.

Sounds like a damaged file or software bug, close it down, do a restart and see if the problem is gone.

Can't Add CHIP to Catalog and Can't delete Catalog from page

    I'm working on Renewal configuration. I create some customize pages and add some CHIPs into it. It works normally before.
    But after we upgrade the EA-HR component from 607 to 608, I can't add chip to catalog and can't delete catalog from by using http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_spb_admn/main.html.
    I checked the Error log using Tcode: /IWFND/ERROR_LOG, the error text shows "You cannot change PageConfig in language zh-Hans. Original language: zh", screen shot see below:

Delete current veiwed page help!!!

Hi I've created a form that adds a new instance when i click on a button with the click script
"Mysubform.addinstanceManger.addInstance (1);"
This copies my complete form to a new page which is what i want it to do.
However when veiwed in on the web i want to create a delete button that will delete the current page the user is veiwing if they decide they want to.
example if the first form is filled out and they click the add new page and fill out the second form, and click again if they need to fill out another.
If now for example they have now created 4 pages and decide they want to delete say, page 2 or maybe page 3. but keep the other pages with information already entered. How do i create a button that deletes the current page they choose to delete.
Any detaiiled help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! as i am new to scripting and LC.

Go into the settings for that particular email account and you can change the setting from Archive to delete.

I recently found a folder in my trash that I never put in there labeled "recovered files" its full of xpku files. What are those? Can I delete them?! Help!

The Recovered Files folder contains temporary files that were used by applications and system processes, which were not properly released and discarded when the application was terminated. This can happen if a program unexpectedly quits, or more commonly if the system crashes in the middle of your work.

How can I delete the first page in a document? It is blank and pagination is grayed out.

A PDF form is opened in LiveCycle 8.2 and there is a blank page in the beginning of it, then the form data for the document I need.
I have tried numerous ways to delete this page, with no luck. I have read through these forums and google searched, nothing is helping.
Can anyone assist me?
Is this something I can email the PDF to someone and they can take a look at it?

The parent subform must be set to Flowed. Make sure each page (subform) is set to Pagination>Following Previous.

*Can't delete a blank page.*

Hello,
I'm currently on page 30 of a script I'm writing using Adobe Story, but somewhat mysteriously, there appeared an extra blank page between the title page and the first page of the script. So now I have a blank "page 1" and the script starts on "page 2". Nothing I've tried has succeeded in removing the page or moving the text up, etc.
I didn't add the page, so I'm not quite sure how it got there.
PC - Sony Vaio
Windows 7
Adobe Story Build 791
Additionally, using the "center" justification tool on the title page doesn't quite center it. It favors the left side just enough to be noticeable to everyone I've asked (to make sure it wasn't my eyes playing tricks).
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reporting this issue. We will fix this bug in our next update.
As a workaround, you can remove parentheticals in the following two ways:
1.       SHIFT TAB
a.       Hit shift tab, when you are on the parenthetical element type
2.       Changing the element type
a.       Click on the line with the parenthetical element
b.       Change the element type from the top right hand side to action or dialog
c.       Notice that its gone
Finally, In the same writing session you can delete the parenthetical by Undo-ing the operation also

Can't delete the second page in Pages.

I am designing a newsletter and didn't notice I went past the bottom margin with some of my content creating a second page. Now I can't get rid of the second page! I tried back spacing (deleting) from the top of the second page and that isn't working. I tried pulling up the side menu that shows each individual page and tried to delete from there but pages is keeping them as a group. I am pulling my hair out as I can't put my newsletter to print until I get rid of that page. Please help.

Maybe you could changing the bottom margin or the footer on your first page. Get rid of the footer if you don't need it and set a small bottom margin and see if that has an effect. Is there anything on the second page?

Can I delete or insert or copy any actions in the existing manual test script.
