Have an IMac with intel - system 10.9    flash player crashes after 50% complete download - I uninstalled my old version and don't have any firewall

How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X
That bypasses the downloader/installer.

    No, flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
    Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

    You would download Flash from here http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH however if your running an old version of Mac OS X say 10.5.8 or earlier then you cannot run the current version of Flash which is 11.3
    Remember you not only have to download Flash but you have to run the installer.
    Some websites that use Flash might tell your computer the site needs a specific minimum version of Flash and as above if your running too old a version of Mac OS X then you will not be able to run a new enough version of Flash.

    You will get a .zip file, extract and then run the .dmg file
    Note : You might need to use Flash Player uninstaller to remove the latest version of Adobe Flash Player

    Is this a problem with the DOWNLOAD or with the INSTALLATION? You should be able to download with Safari open but you do have to quit Safari in able to install. Try downloading the dmg file, restart with no apps open and then trying to install Flash Player.

    While attempting to download new Flash Player, I am told to exit internet explorer. I have tried to exit when it tells me to and I have tried to exit before loading, and it still gives the same message to exit IE. I have zero IE windows open and it still won't finish downloading.
