  • Can't download PDF through IronPort (result:corrupted pdf)

    Hi,
Users can't download  PDF through IronPort web proxy(7.3.1)
The result is always the same: corrupted pdf.
    Who can help me ?

    Hi,
Please check in access policy matched, in 'Objects' column, if you have any limit set or type of files blocked.
You can also perform a test - create a Custom URL Category and add the
website where you are downloading PDF in it, then in access policy -> URL Filtering, configure this Custom URL Category to 'Allow'.

  • How can I download PDF's

I cannot download PDF documents. I get an error message; i.e., The document “1-15_HowtoSellWithoutSalesy.pdf” could not be exported as “1-15_HowtoSellWithoutSalesy.pdf”.
This is a recent event since I installed the newer version of Adobe. Any thoughts?

Actually, I have two websites: Safari and Firefox. It doesn't matter which website I'm logged in to, I get the same message. As for downloading from the Adobe website, how do I do this? I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to completely uninstall Adobe and reinstall the latest version. Is this a good idea or will I lose the PDF's I was once able to download? As I said, this problem has been going on for the last 6 weeks, when I downloaded the latest version of Adobe.
    Thanks for your continuing help.

That is not a Reader message. It is a message being generated by the website. They may have a javascript or something trying to prohibit the download of the pdf to your computer. Try downloading a pdf from the Adobe website and see what happens.

  • I can't download PDF's from iCloud.  Everything else downloads fine.  Any suggestions?

I can't download PDF's from iCloud.  Everything else downloads fine.  Any suggestions?

Ok, and is this on your Mac in the native Mail application, or on your Mac using iCloud webmail at http://www.icloud.com/ in a web browser? If the latter, which web browser?
When you say you "can't download" - do you actually mean download and save to your hard drive as a file, or do you mean you can't view PDFs inside the mail application?
What happens exactly when you try to download/view these PDFs? Any error message?

  • I can't download PDF's from website that uses Adobe Reader on my Windows 8 phone?

For work I need to be able to download PDF's from a particular website.  It utilizes the Adobe Reader but when I try to download a PDF, it doesn't do anything.  I tried to download the "Adobe Reader" from the website but it says that I do not hav the system requirements to do so.  This problem started after they did the Adobe update.  I haven't been able to download these PDS's since then.  I need to be able to do this for work....  Any suggestions?  or when will this issue be fixed?  Thank you!!!

I have the same problem.  Or similar.  A few weeks ago, i installed Adobe reader (because i had a pdf attachment that was unreadable in Preview, so i wanted to try Adobe to see if that would work; it didn't work).  Since then, i can't open PDF files on the web. I get a black screen or sometimes a white one. and i can sometimes open them indirectly, if there is the option on the link. I thought this problem started after i deleted Adobe however. I'm not sure because i wasn't expecting this problem and am not exactly sure the sequence of when things happened, but i wanted to delete Adobe reader because i had no use for it. Unfortunately, they didn't provide an uninstaller. I put the application in the trash and whatever else was in the folder, and emptied the trash, but got a lot of messages about various files not being able to be deleted because they were in use.  I think it was since then that i can't open PDF files.  Never had a problem before getting involved with Adobe Reader. Anyway,  as far as your answer goes, i have already deleted as much of it as i can.
Any other suggestions?  i downloaded the Adobe installer to reinstall it if that's what it takes. i need to be able to open PDF files.
    Thanks

  • I can't download pdfs from links

Ever since I upgraded my Macintosh from system X.3 to X.4, I can't download a pdf that is accessed via a hyperlink in a web page. I can download a pdf attachment that I've received as e-mail, but if I click a link with a URL that ends in <PDF>, I just get a new, empty tab.

Is it that you are not able to view pdf in Safari? What exactly is the problem?

  • I have 4.0.1 and I can't download PDF files in my bank account URL. I can in IE.

I recently upgraded to 4.0.1. When I go to my bank account site I request a download of a statement in PDF format. It does not download and gives no error message. When I do the same thing in IE it downloads the statement. When my husband does the same thing in Firefox 3.6.17 it downloads the statement. It worked until I upgraded.

    cor-el, you nailed it.
There was a plug-in called "Adobe Acrobat NPAPI". With that disabled and the PDF Browser Plugin 2.4.4 enabled, I can now open PDFs in Firefox.

  • Can't download pdf bills from utility companies - mac

I am on a Mac running OSX 10.6.8.  Whether I use Firefox (latest version 18.0) or Safari (version 5.1.7), I am unable to download my bills in pdf formats from Centerpoint.com and Centurylink.com   -  I have contacted customer service at both sites and they have said they don't know why it's happening, and I should contact Adobe.  So I am here.
When I get to the sections on these pages where I can view my bill, and subsequently "view as pdf" or "download pdf" - here's what happens.  In firefox, I get a popup that says: Adobe Reader is required to view this file. When I click the same fields in Safari, a blank (white) window opens up and just sits there.
I have installed on my computer Adobe Reader 11.0.01
I would really apprecaite any help with this at all.  The amount of time that has been invested (to no avail) in trying to simply download my utility bills in pdf format has been ridiculous.
    Thanks!

Yes - I did and it works perfectly.  Again, the webpages I am attemtping to download my bill's in .pdf form from are Centerpointenergy.com and Centurylink.com.
On centerpoinenergy.com, the main page has a "view/print bill" tab.  When I click on that, a new window opens where I can view my bill.  In the upper left is a tab that says, "view pdf."  When I click on that, a new window opens up and here's the problem - a notice appears saying, "Adobe Reader is required to view this file http://get.adobe.com"
I have adobe reader installed, but thier page is not recognizing it - or something.  I've asked them about this and they told me to contact adobe.
On Centurylink.com, I click "view my full bill." Then on the next page I click, "print or save this bill."  The file that appears is a .action file as I described above.
Everyone's help and attention here is greatly appreciated.

  • Can not download PDFs to Safari or Firefox. 27" iMac running 10.8.2. Have disabled two Adobe plug ins per search in community. Did not work. Dowloads fine on other computer (older iMac, 10.6.8). Advice appreciated. Lyman

New iMac 27" running 10.8.2. Can not dowload PDFs. Have taken two Adobe plugins out of library (as suggested in comments I found last night). Did not fix proglem. Older iMac running 10.6.8 sitting next to new one can download fine. Then have to move downloads to new machine to use them. Thanks for help and suggestions. Lyman

My own answer. This was solved by a simple restart of the computer. This is the second time in a week that a restart has been needed to resolve "refuseal to work" type problems. I don't recall restarting being a regular fix in earlier OSs.Hope this doesn't become a standard fix as that could be really tedious. Lyman.

  • Can't download PDF attachments from Hotmail

    Hi,
For the past 3 - 4 weeks, I have been unable to download PDFs attached to Hotmail messages.  The Windows forum has been unable to help.
I'm running Windows 7, IE 9 and using Acrobat X standard.
So far I have cleared my cache and reinstalled silverlight as the Windows guys suggested.  I also restored my computer to a point in the past when I could download attachments.
I can download PDFs from web sites, and open existing documents.  I cannot download PDF attachments from other email accounts (such as my academic account).
    Any thoughts?

If there is an option to download in binary mode, be sure that is selected. I do not have HotMail and have no clue what options might be available.

  • Can't download pdf's

I have a mac that I support that cannot download a pdf file from either safari or explorer.
This is clearly a user issue because if I switch users other users on this same machine can download pdfs.
Any ideas as to what might be the problem?

    Ok,
Then likely he has a corrupted user preference.
    The question is which one?
My guess is that it will begin with
com.apple.something to do with anything that could involve services, launching, etc..
You can remove them to a folder on the desktop and try a download. If it works then trash the preference in the desktop folder and get on with life having found the bad preference. If no change then try another preference. You can return the old preference to the preference folder and trash the newly created one, or not. It's up to you.
