Can't edit any event, no event editor

It used to be that i could double click on an event to edit it. Right now, iCal is sending me reminders to do something that i no longer need. I want to cancel the reminders (i don't want to delete the event because i'll use it later). I want to get the pop up menu with all choices on it. I want to be able to edit the event. When i tried to do this yesterday, i found that nothing happens when i double click on the event, and when i select the event and go to the Edit menu and choose "edit event," nothing happens. I'm wondering if i accidentally clicked on some kind of finder setting or something that has disabled event editing? How do i get that little pop up menu with all the editing choices on it that i used to get?
Also, if i create a new event by double clicking in the date field in month view (for example), it creates an event called 'new event." But it will not let me name the event, much less have any other editing options. A google search informed me that i can select the event and hit return in order to be able to name the event but i can't do anything else. If i create the new event by double clicking on a day while in month view, when i look at the event in day view, it has defaulted to 1pm as the time for the event. Every time. If i create another event in month view on that same day, it will add another 1pm event.
What happened? I used to be able to easily create events with various characteristics by simply double clicking. What am i missing? I tried iCal help, how to edit an event. It just tells me to select things in the Event editor. But i can't get an event editor to open up. That's what i want, the event editor. How do i access it? Maybe something happened the last time i updated the system?

I figured it out.
The "Formula Editor" modal window was being hidden off of the left hand side of my screen.

For some reason I can't edit any files anymore, i.e. when right click on order.jsp, DTR is grayout. Seems like it happened after I reinstalled NWDS and reimported projects. I tried Sync sources, it did not help.

Hi,
Right now do you have any open activities? If so, is it on the same jsp file?
If you have a open activity, obviously you will not edit option for the same file again.
If that is not the case, there might be an update in your track. You need to perform "Update Configuration" on your track. go to Inactive Dc's -> Right click on your track and select "Update Configuration".
You can also try, Closing and re opening the NWDS and logging in to NWDI again.

I just recently got a new laptop and transfered everything over and it seemed to be ok but now having issues playing videos and can't edit any of my song info in music files

I just got a new laptop so I had to transfer everything over and I thought everything would be ok but I'm having some strange issues especially with my purchased tv shows, movies, and music videos. They just wont play. Sometimes I'll get lucky and a tv show will play but if I stop it and try again it wont. If I open in Quicktime it works fine. The computer is authorized so that shouldnt be it especially if it plays in QT and like I said sometimes I'll get lucky and one will play. Now the other thing I just noticed is all my music files play fine but when opening and looking at the info of the music file I can't edit anything for example song title or artist the area seems shaded and won't let me do any editing. So I'm having those 2 issues. Video files not playing ones that I have purchased. movies, tv shows and music videos. Also like I said if I just sit there and click one after another I may get lucky and one will play but if I stop it and try again it will not play again. And I can't seem to edit any music file which play fine. I have a new Dell with windows 7 and I have never had this happen any help would be great. The computer is authorized for i tunes so it cant be that.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

How do I change the color of my Google calendar? I can't edit any of my calendars.

I just recently activated my iPhone 6 and was able to successfully transfer everything from my old iPhone to the new one.
I used Google to sync my mail, contacts, and calendars, but for some reason, I cannot edit any calendars. When I open the Calendar on my iPhone, I click on "Calendars" on the bottom. Once I am here, I click on "Edit", but cannot click on any of my calendars. The names of my calendars show up, but are light gray colored. I need to change the colors because for some reason, they are all dark colors and I cannot differentiate between them.
Did I set up my calendar wrong? Please help.

I have the same issue on my iPad mini (running iOS 8.1). This problem only occurs with Google calendars. You can see in the attached screenshot that I don't have the problem with other calendars (see Microsoft live.com calendars).
I have tried adding my Google account as Gmail, Exchange and CalDAV and I see this problem in every case.

Problem: Can't edit any table values

Hi,
I'm using the latest version of Oracel SQL Developer in XP and cannot edit any table values (ie: the actual data). I've tried the reset of Accelerators as previously suggested to no effect. I know the user has access since TOAD and DreamCoder all allow edits.
Any ideas?

I was trying to edit by double-clicking the field, which opens an Edit box. And then I had believed I could type a new value in? This was behaviour I was used to in Toad so I appreciate I may be doing it incorrectly.
Is this not the correct way to edit a value? (without using SQL).
EDIT: I re-read you're reply and I see what you mean. Going to Table> MyTable > Data (tab) I can add rows and such. But this seems to mean I can't execute an SQL query to pullback specific data and then edit it in-place, in the grid?

I can't edit any photos. Try to crop but just moves the whole picture?

I can't edit photos. I select the crop tool but the mouse pointer just drags the whole image rather than create a box for the crop area? Even the in built photos/projects can't be edited. Nothing seems to work. I select the folder in the projects inspector but the folder contents don't apear in the browser, although individual images appear in the main window, eventually. Begining to think the software is dud or not compatible with the my mac operating system? I've tried re-installing the software.

IMovie 11 can't see any of my events, although it previously could :-

I am very familiar with iMovie, but I recently am unable to see any of the imported events, although it was perfectly fine until ??? maybe the key event is the activation of Time Machine.
I have re-installed iMovie + tried to repair the permissions using Disk Utility. This detected a very large number of errors, which were repaired (worth 4 mins), but keep showing up upon activation of the repair function. Could this be the problem?
How can I get my events back in iMovie? (the are perfectly visible on the disk).

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Can I edit JPEGS in an external editor, NOT TIFFS?

I've been using Aperture for a while now, but I Just got photoshop and I'd like to edit some photos (JPEGs not RAWs) in Photoshop. When I edit them, Aperture converts the files to HUGE TIFFs and I can edit and save the TIFF in photoshop and then a new image appears in my aperture library (a TIFF) with the edits. That's all fine and everything, but how do I convert my newly edited TIFF back into a JPEG? I don't see any advantage to having a 50 MB TIFF file instead of a 2 MB JPEG (and the original TIFF was converted to a jpeg, so any compression artifacts are actually stored in the TIFF).

No. Editing in JPEG is not part of a professional workflow. JPEG is a (useful) lossy format used for final file delivery only, and then only when absolutely necessary. iPhoto is aimed to include amateur users, so JPEG usage is facilitated to a degree that would be inappropriate for a professional app.

Can't edit any editable region but the first one!

I have a CSS layout and I am trying to edit documents that
are based on a template that has CSS only layout, the only Editable
Region I can edit from within Dreamweaver seems to be the first
one, with a Flash object in it, all the other ones I can
double-click until I am blue in the face and I cannot get DW to let
me into edit the area, it's driving me crazy.
What can I do to fix this!
Please help.

I recently purchased a new laptop and transferred all my music across to an external hard drive which are permanently connected.
I added the songs into itunes.
They play fine.
But i cant seem to edit the songs. The details are greyed out (read-only)
What can i do?

Set the files so they are not Read Only.
Also, make sure you have full permsssions to these files and the folder they are in.
Use Start -> *Help & Support* to find how to do these.

I've recently bought a new laptop (win7) and I can't edit any songs on my iTunes.

I've done all the advice I've seen online, such as change the security permissions on my iTunes folder AND my music folder, as I keep everything stored on my external harddrive, but NOTHING IS WORKING!!!
I keep going back to see if it's changed back to its original settings and it seems to keep doing that, every time I un check the read only box on both iTunes and my music files, I apply the changes but it just checks the bloody box again.
I really have no idea what to do, can anyone help?

It's a big article, with pointers to others. You can recover iTunes purchases directly from the devices, you may be able to recover other iTunes purchases from the iTunes Store, depending on your region. For any other media on the devices you will need the assistance of third party tools, or use the manual extraction techniques.
Note each device can hold protected content from up to five different accounts. Perhaps someone in the family has loaded up media from a friend's library.

Try changeing your Read/Write permssions for those songs. Just find the song file, Right click, go to Properties then Uncheck Read-Only

Open up your Applications folder, navigate to the Utilities folder, double click on the Disk Utilities application, click on the icon on the left side of the screen that shows your disk drive, then click on the button that says "Repair Disk Permissions". Let it run for about 10-15 minutes until it says "Permissions repaired" in the window.

When editing CR file on INFOVIEW, "Format Editor" has just 4 fonts to use,
How can we add any fonts to "Font Editor" at infoview??
Could you please give me any advices?
