Pages doesn't let you separately set border offsets, Indesign is the only application I know that can do that.
You can get the effect with margin insets inside a Text box or offsets inside a Border.
Inside both the Textbox and Border move the margins of the Text inside to have the Text where you want it relative to the border/stroke.
When looking for a solution there is usually more than one way to look at the problem itself.

I can't figure out how to "talk text". I thought it might be in settings under "voice over", so I turned that on. Nope. Now I can't turn voice over off and it's annoying listening to her tell me what I wrote or what she thinks I might want to say. Any help in either subject appreciated.
Turn VoiceOver of in Accessibility. Settings>General>Accessibility>Voice Over>Off. If you have Siri activated, invoke Siri and say, "Turn off VoiceOver".
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "talk text" If you mean "Tap to talk", that feature will only appear in iMessages, not SMS messages. -
How do I use GarageBand as a amp/speaker to listen to my Electronic Drum set? I have a MIDI-USB cord already but I can't figure out how to listen to my set through the software using my computer speakers?
If you want to listen to the sounds of your drum set, you should use an audio cable and connect it to the computer's line-in, then create a real instrument track.
If you use a Midi/USB interface, you'll have to create a software instrument track and select one of GB's drumsets as the instrument. Hopefully your drumset's midi notes are mapped to the right sounds in GB. -

I can't sign on to icloud. It says I need an icloud account. I click the help option it send me back to the same page. I reinstall it nothing.

ThanksI just talked to tech support and this is what they said to do. For example.
Make a new form and then drop a "text field" into it.
Goto the toolbar at the top and click on window then
paragraph. The paragraph/font box will come up and you'll be
able to see the different ways you can move text around.

I'd like to be able to know the difference between a text message and other alerts, like new email or Tweetdeck updates. So basically I know if I should check my phone immediately or if it can wait. But so far, it seems that all alerts have to have the same tone. Has anybody been able to fix that. This is on a Droid 2 GLOBAL.

You can go into the text messaging app, gmail app, etc and open the settings for the app (Menu button > Settings) to find options for setting the ringtones for each app. -
Is there a way to export files created for photos? I seem to have no problem exporting photos but the information I have about them cannot be found in teh exported version.
There is no way to do that. Later versions of iPhoto can export with all the metadata written to the IPTC and Exif metadata.

How do I send a group text message, I have groups set up in my gmail account but can't figure out how to send a group text without adding them all individually ?
You can use iCloud:
Step 1. Log into www.icloud.com using your Apple ID.
Step 2. Click on Contacts and then click the groups ribbon (the red icon with two people) which is on the left-hand page when viewing All Contacts.
Step 3. The left page changes to a list of Groups (only those groups stored in iCloud are shown). Click the + button at the bottom to add a new group.
Step 4. Type a name for the new group and press Enter to save it. To change it after this, double-click its entry in the groups list.
Step 5. To add contacts to the new group, click on the All Contacts group and locate the first person to be added (you can use the search bar to find them quickly).
Step 6. Drag their name on top of the new group and drop it to add it to that group.
Step 7. To add more contacts, repeat steps 5 and 6, but you can add multiple contacts at once by pressing Ctrl (on a PC) or Command (on a Mac) and clicking on each contact in the list that you wish to select. Then, drag one of the highlighted names to the new group and they will all be added.
It's possible to add names to more than one group, and you can create as many groups as you like.
Step 8. Launch the Contacts app on your device (iPhone, iPod touch or iPad) and you should see the new group appear almost immediately - as long as you have an internet connection.
Until Apple builds in a function to create groups directly within the Contacts app, this is the best way to do it. -

Something was hidden in a download and now these double green underlined hyperlinks show up everywhere, and pop ups too whenever I click on ANYTHING. I can't figure out how to find it and get rid of it.
You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.

You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -
Living in Japan and I'm an American who just signed up with Soft Bank the phone service here and spent a TON of money on an iPhone. I can't figure out how to connect my bank account at home to my app account so I can Skype my family. Please help!!!! I don't have a credit card nor do they gove debit cards to foreigners here, or at least it's really hard so I'm using my bank at home and still have a debit there. My phone number is 8 numbers plus the country code which is strange! Another thing is I was given a phone email that I was told to use for texting but I'm not sure how that works!! Can't figure out how to make "sub-tabs" / Too many "top-tabs" / Other ?
First of all, the website that I am webmaster for is: www.cindydennis.org .
I am having some problems:
1) There are TOO MANY tabs at the top. I can't figure out how to make sub-headings on one page...
For example, I'd like on the "About CDM" page, tabs that can be clicked on to go to other information tabs, but that don't end up appearing on the top (e.g.: having "Remarks" and "What We Believe" tabs go there, but not appear at the top).
Another example, if you look at the home screen, I'd like to have the link to the "Privacy Policy" and Terms of Service" pages on the bottom, but not have them appear as tabs in the top, too.
How do I do this, please? I've searched, and can't figure out/___sbsstatic___/migration-images/migration-img-not-avail.png
2) How do I add "Copyright 2011" automatically? I saw in the Rapidweaver trial version, it automatically adds it when you publish... is there a way to tell this program to do this? Or do I need to type that in on each page? (I don't want to purchase RW... I'm not ready for that yet.)

CindeeCindee ~ One way to do the copyright notice is to use a Text Clipping — Select (highlight) the copyright text you want to use and drag it to the Desktop. If necessary, change the name of the Clipping icon so that it's more easily identifiable on the Desktop. Then, when you need it in iWeb, simply drag the Clipping icon from the Desktop to iWeb's main canvas.

Can't figure out how to change the bottom margins
This is my 3rd day with a mac and I can't figure out how to change the margins in Pages '09 so that it doesn't include a .5 margin on the bottom.
I'm using a HP OfficeJet J6450. In the page setup, I changed the "untitled" user defined margins to .1 for top and sides and 0 for the bottom and it still includes a .5 margin on the bottom. Changing the untitled seems to help side margins.
I've used the inspector to see if there is a setting there that defines the bottom margin as .5 and that doesn't seem to do it.
If I print borderless, the text boxes that I have a .3 border around don't print on the edges even though they show up on my workspace. It also throws off the top and bottom.
This is a big assumption, but I assumed that if the workspace and rules show white space and now grayed out, it would print that way. It's not.

P.S. I've downloaded & installed updates for everything - OS, iWorks, PrinterPeggy,
Maybe this is true of Macs? On my windows systems - I can specify more options on both my printers and can print beyond .5 inches at the bottom. One specific option on my J6450 that I can select is "minimize borders" and it will print about .1 or .2 from the edge. On my mac, I do not have that feature to select. If I print borderless, even though my layout shows it should not go off the paper, once printed it does.
