Can't get any further than topic selection on apple support ??
trying to ask apple support what i how to book a one to one but i can't get passed topic selection. it just won't load. any ideas why ?????

Which version of the OS is installed, and which version are you trying to install?
You could try starting up with Startup Manager and see if it will allow you to select the OS X install disc as the startup disk. If so, maybe you can proceed from there. I would recommend repairing the hard drive first since you are evidently having a bit of a problem with it. -

After updating to iOS 5 today, i was able to get my iphone working with virtually no problem. The issue i am having is that after i finished with my phone, i tryied to do the same with my ipad. Everytime it is plugged into itunes, it keeps saying it needs to restore over and over again. I have done this about 20 times today and have lost it. I can't sync anything with it, especially my music or calendars. Anyone know of a solution?

Using Mac OSX Install Disc 1, I am not able to get any further than the Partition tab. It allows me to select my hard drive selection, but will not allow me to make any other selections such as options. Does anyone know their way around this obstacle? Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks
Hello, The Hatter, I read about the 'trick' of backing up, erasing, and restoring too, but I figured it would take longer than defragmenting the disk.
But the defragmentation process has just finished! so I'm gonna try to run Boot Camp again soon!

And P.S. I didn't clone my system onto the external drive, I just inserted the Mac OS X Install CD, rebooted holding down the "C" key, and installed a fresh Snow Leopard system onto the predetermined partition. I will use that in cases of emergency, when my main/internal system becomes unusable. -
My iPhone shut down and factory reset itself for no reason, and now when I plug it into my computer or any power source, the apple shines but it doesn't get any further than that. How can I fix it?

iTunes tells me there is an iOS update (5.1) but it never gets any further than trying to connect to the iPad server. I've tried updating directly from my iPad and it too times out saying it cannot connect to any server. My regular Apple updates work fine.
I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?

Are you trying to call yourself to test FaceTime? If so, you must have a second E-Mail address registered with your Apple ID. In other words, there must be a different E-Mail address on each unit.

I have tried to submit a dissatisfaction report following your instructions from my invoice for the recent purchase of smart office 2. I can get no further as a report code keeps appearing saying too many http redirects so I can not get any further.
I have also sent 3 emails to the company if Smart Office 2 with no response.
How do I report my dissatisfaction which is growing with the frustration of not being able to contact any one!

I updated my first generation iPad to version 5.1.1 and won't go past the setup screen that asks if I want to use the iPad locator. I can go back but can't get any further
I just updated my original iPad 32 GB WiFi to iOS 5.1 about fifteen minutes ago. But I did it with the system restore feature in iTunes. So it wiped out everything on my iPad. But it did work. Then I restored an earlier backup and all went fine. Maybe you could try backing up your iPad and then using Restore to get it back to factory settings to see what happens.

The way to get passed the passcode is to restore your iPhone. Follow the steps in the article below to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up within iTunes or iCloud, you can put the back up back on and the passcode does not come back.

Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Where can I get my iphone 4S fixed? I can't get any help! Not even from Apple!
My sim card reader in my iphone 4S is damaged and does not read my SIM card. Unfortunately, my phone carrier will not help me. I went to the Mac Store, they told me it had to be fixed but can't do it through them. I tried Apple website and no luck. I even called both the Support and the main Apple corporate head office in Cupertino which is closed even if its past 8 Am pacific time. The issue is that I am customer in Panama City, Republic of Panama. There is no support or any post purchase service from Apple here. Assuming you purchased the iPhone in the USA then you can only obtain serice and support IN the USA
You can not mail or courier the iPhone to Apple they do not accept international service requests
Either take the iPhone to an Apple store in US or mail it to a friend or relative in US for them to handle the repair and then return the iphone to you
If you purchased from another country then exactly the same procedure must happen but to that country Apple Store
Tha iphone warranty and post warranty service is not international -

If it's getting stuck in step 2 it probably means the previous backup is corrupt someway. I would remove the last backup (copy it to another location for safe keeping) and then try to backup again manually.
If you tell me what kind of computer you have I can give further instructions for moving your backup to a different location.
What happens if you cancel the sync and do a manual backup?
right click on the device in the left-hand column of itunes, and select backup from the menu that appears.
