I just downloaded several songs from itunes onto my ipod shuffle and iphone from the itunes website- on my iphone the songs are all saying "downloading" and have been for a long time now- what should I do now? How long does this take?

I can't get music to download onto my iPhone!!

Ok so someone told me I should try manually managing my music.....? Not quite sure how to do this! Because when I push the manually manage box, it brings up a sign that says if I want to manually manage my music it will delete all the music already on my iPhone!
So they also suggested I try syncing it, but that won't work either because I just got a new computer and it doesn't have all my music on it!! So it will delete all the music on my phone!! Can someone help me!? Any advice??

Ok, to kinda clarify, I just bought this new cd and i downloaded it onto my computer and now I'm trying to download it onto my iPhone! But syncing wont work because it will delete all my other music on my phone! And when I try to drag the cd to my phone it comes up with a red circle with a line through it!! Is there a way to manually manage my music without deleting all the music already on my phone that's not on my computer??

Since loading 4.2.1 can't get music to download on iphone!

I have tried several times to download my music onto my 3GS iphone but since downloading 4.2.1 although the box is checked to sync music absolutely nothing happens! Anyone else having this issue and what do I need to do to fix it!!!

I can't get itunes to download to my computer...

I just recently purchased a new ipod nano and I have tried multiple times and ways of installing itunes 7.4. All times it hasn't completed. It always gets to be nearly the end and then it pops up with an error code and says that you need to have quicktime-which I also already have on my computer. So I proceeded to try and upgrade my quicktime, thinking that might be the issue, but that also wouldn't install, coming up with another error page.
Does anyone know what I could try or what the problem may be?
It's frustrating that I have this new ipod and I can't use it because I can't get music on it...

If I understand you correctly,
You have never had iTunes installed on your PC
You can't install it because of a problem with QUicktime
You have Quicktime and you can't uninstall Quicktime
It sounds as though you may need a manual removal of Quicktime followed by an installer cleanup.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime and save them on your desktop

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instruction on the page as well as the download.

Now use the following method to remove Quicktime (not the other stuff, which I assume you do not have):

I am guessing that the QUicktime uninstall will not work, go on and delete the various files/folders as instructed in the method.
Now use the intsller cleanup utility to remove any reference you find to QUicktime.
Next install the stand alone Quicktime
If that goes through OK, install iTunes.

Can't get music to play.... It is downloaded but it's all grayed out.

Have the same problem! after the about the 10 time I tryed to sync my music, It finally worked an the song were finally not greyed out. Now after I rebooted my iPad I can not get the songs to play they are greyed out once again? Any idea?

Can't seem to make Migration Assistant work. Doesn't ask about or transfer files.

I just migrated into a new MBP from an old one.
It did not bring the music over. Apple's instructions are to use the Home Sharing feature of iTunes.
Open iTunes on your old Mac. Select Home Sharing under the Advanced menu. Sign in. Do the same on your new computer. Then when the library appears under Home Sharing on the left-hand panel on your new computer's iTunes, you can select all and Add To Library.
That's what Apple says, anyway.

Can't Get My Dell Downloads to Work

Hi, I'm new to the community so I have no idea where this topic should be posted (I can't find an appropriate sub-topic under software to post this). Basically my problem is that I can't get My Dell Downloads to register my system so that I can download my factory installed software (I plan to do a clean install of Windows 7). I checked the box that says "I agree to user terms" and click register, then a window pops up and I clicked "allow." But then nothing happens and it stays on that page. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Moderators if this isn't the right section for this topic please move this thread to the right place. Thanks.

I was trying to use Firefox, though the site specifically only supports IE - says so right there.
Tried it again in XP/IE6, clicked Register, installed the Active X control, watched it hang for about 30 seconds, then got a "service tag not supported" message - which is more reasonable.
Found the FAQ page for it, and it requires .net Framework 3.0 to work - which may or may not be the problem:
