Can`t get rid of "Launcher" bar on bottom of my home page.

I have Google as my home page. The one with only the search text bar with Firefox logo above it. Nice and clean.
Now I keep getting what is called a 'launcher' toolbar on my Google home page and I would like to get rid of it. I found by right-clicking the page that 'Inspect Element Q' shows the code for this 'toolbar' and from what I gather it is a Firefox feature. I would like to get rid of it. Are there code changes I can make in the Element Q window that will eliminate this 'launcher' toolbar? Thanks!

Hi jscher2000, and Thank You for helping me out. I do not have a Google address as a home page. I just chose the Google main search page as my home page if that makes any sense. The page I chose shows up with the Google search input text bar if you know what I`m talking about, then just a little above that is the Firefox logo. up in the top right corner of the web page is the word 'mozilla' in grey. About the same shade as the grey used for the icons on the 'launcher' bar I would like to get rid of. I am going to try and attach a Wordpad screenshot of my home page.
Also here is the code that makes me believe I can get rid of the tool bar.

hello tomterrimort, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

Can't get rid of scroll bar

I show a scroll bar for the links at the bottom of this page. Dinghydogs.com. I can't see how to get rid of it. Can you help?

It's caused by your inline styles. Which begs the bigger question. Why are you using all this in your markup?

Can't get rid of white bar in firefox

For the last few versions, I seem to have an annoying white bar that won't go away, in the tab section of Firefox. It is theme-independent, and won't go away no matter what theme or option I change. It also doesn't appear to be a plugin. Any idea how to get rid of it?

I should note I have a custom theme on windows, but it used to work fine for previous versions of firefox. The bar is also still present when firefox is started in safemode

Well, when tabs are in the title bar, the tab bar background changes to a gradient fill that appears to create a gap at the bottom:

It's a little too late here to experiment with a fix, but hopefully another forum contributor will be able to recommend a solution.
(When the window is not maximized, the background of the tab bar is transparent.)

Get rid of black bar at bottom of full view

With the new update of Aperture there is now a black bar at the bottom of the photo when editing in viewer mode with the file name. I really want to get rid of it since it changes the cropping of the photo and I can't see behind it to edit. Is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks!

You can show or hide Image metadata in the Viewer.
You can have the metadata shown either on top of, or in a band below, the Image in the Viewer.
What shows, and where, for each of the seven Metadata Overlays are set in the Browser & Viewer Metadata dialog ("View ▹ Metadata Display ▹ Customize").
Which Metadata Overlay is shown (or none) is set via ("View ▹ Metadata Display"), or from the Metadata Display Icon on the ToolStrip. This icon shows in both the Browser and the Viewer.
I did not notice a change when I upgraded. Is it possible you inadvertently turned on the Viewer overlay, or switched from the Basic to the Expanded Overlay?

How can i get rid of a big white square on my google page?

i have a big white square with a cloured dot that circles all round on my google page on my ipad and cant get rid of it, what can i do?

Double click the home button then swipe the google app up to close it. If that doesn't work, press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. If that doesn't work try deleting and reinstalling app.

Can't get rid of Thin line at bottom of images

Hi, I can't figure out why my homepage images have a thin line at the bottom of the image. The image itself is not causing this but it must have something to do with the image tag or the CSS but I can't seem to get rid of it and it's driving me crazy. If anyone knows what may be causing this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

What I 've been doing is selecting the image and then looking at the style associated with it and the image seems too use the "clearfix.css" style.. Would I still need that code or would it be better to edit the current code than to just keep adding code? Just curious. Can I not edit the code's text decoration to fix or is your solution better. If your OS is Linux you can update Firefox using the Package Manager / Software Center. After opening the Manager type '''firefox''' in the search area, tick '''firefox''' in the results and apply. You may also be asked to accept additional new dependencies.

It is a zip package and you have to unzip it and run the script file named '''firefox''' inside the unzipped folder. There is a 4" blank (or white) bar at the top RIGHT of my desktop, to the left of the Spotlight magnifier icon. The bar blanks out all of these drop-downs: Open Time Machine Preferences, Detect Displays/Display Preferences, Open Bluetooth Preferences, Volume Bar, Open Network Preferences, inport Source, Battey Charge display/Energy Saver Preferences, Date & Time set pref.
Drives me nuts, to use a technical term! I can't see the time in the bar, can't adjust volume, can't check to see how many others are online in my condo complex. I like to try to go on when the highway isn't jammed up.
Can anyone tell me how to remove that annoying blank white bar. I call it white because it covers the color on my desktop. That's why I don't think it's like a blank cell.
Would appreciate any help and give BIG plaudits to anyone who can HELP!

I appreciate your suggestion and think I'll take your second suggestion. Been chiding myself for waiting so long to go with my begging bowl to the great Genius bar. Don't know if I'm ready to spring for the latest version, since everything else I need seems okay. You know how it is, it seems so simple: "If I could just get the key word the answer would pop up."

Before Friefox ''messed'' up today and i couldent use the arrows to scroll pages i had the many bar at the top of the screen whila using firefox, now if i dont want the line that says witch website i am on i cant hav the meny bar there either.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
*Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the hidden Menu bar)
*Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup

Downloaded Firefox update for my Mac and now when I open it, there is a white box at the top of the page with a grey bar in it that I can't get rid of

I updated my firefox browser for my Mac and now, when I open it, an empty white box appears at the top of the page with only a gray bar in it. It over lays the Firefox home page and I can't get rid of it, so I can't click on anything on the Firefox page. I tried deleting Firefox and redownloading it, but that didn't help. I have to force quite Firefox to get out of it. Help!

Check the item properties of the sequence. It sounds as if you're editing in a standard definition sequence, which is the default that FCE creates, unless you set the correct format when you first launch the application.
