Can't get the podcast to update

Hi all—I submitted the podcast feed://vigilantemind.podbean.com/feed/ and ran a first test podcast, and it came out okay. Then I added graphics, filled in all the iTunes codes, and published some actual podcasts, but iTunes won't update... it just has the podcast as it looked when I first submitted the podcast. Did I do something wrong?

Your feed is fine. It normally takes 1-2 days for the Store page to update, and sometimes it can take several days, so it's just a question of waiting. Subscribers can already see your updated episode (since they are working directly from your feed and the Store is no longer involved).

How can I get the 23 July update to load onto my iPad. I haven't been able to access my documents or work for weeks and need to use it. Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Hello Arthur,
    Thank you for the reply.
You were correct that deleting the app and reinstalling it was the only thing to make it work but unfortunately I lost all the documents I made, even though they were backed up to iCloud before i deleted the app. At the same time as deleting pages I had to delete keynote and numbers too, so I've lost all the documents in them too.
The mb of data which was assigned to each programme in iCloud has reduced, so. I guess they are gone for good. Is there any other way to reaccess them?
Not your fault but I am a bit fed up the the iPad. I have lost work that I've done and have no other copy apart from what was in iCloud, as I don't have a printer and couldn't email them too myself as I couldn't get into the programme and  i've also got episodes of tv series I purchased that I can't download and albums that are half downloaded with songs missing, so I feel a bit swindled out of time and money and am going back to DVD ,  pen and paper and CDs .
Instead of using iCloud I guess the only way to make sure I don't loose any more documents it to email them to myself each time I save them on the iPad. Is there anything else you could suggest please?
I don't have any other apple products apart from iPods, so I can't access the iCloud on anything else can I?
    Thanks
    Amanda

  • I can't get the podcast app because I don't have ios7 is there anything I can do?

I can't get the podcast app because I don't have ios7 is there anything I can do?

There are several very good third-party podcast apps you can download from the app store.
Personally, I'm very happy with "DownCast".  I've given up on the apple podcast app, and DownCast seems to do everything I need.  My whole family uses it.

Hello! So I have a iPod 5th generation, and I just had a recent update, it was for iOS 6.1.3, and now for some reason, I can't get the iOS 7 update. Could anyone help me?

Apple's servers are slammed right now with iOS 7 downloads AND activation requests.
Be patient and try again later.

  • I purchased a new computer and transferred itunes, but can't get the podcasts I downloaded after the transfer to sync to my nano

I purchased a new computer and transferred itunes to it but now can't get podcasts downloaded after the transfer to sync with device.

So you have these podcasts downloaded and stored in your iTunes library is that correct?  However, they will not sync with the device?  Are these video or audio podcasts?
How is your Nano currently configured to sync podcasts?  You can check this by viewing the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes.  To view this tab, plug your iPod in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the Summary tab that now shows to the right.  Look for the Podcasts tab along the top and select it.  Here you can configure how and what Podcasts are synced.
If you do happen to make any changes from under this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button to sync the updated changes to the Nano.

  • 4th gen iPod touch- had to do a restore, and now I can't get the podcasts app back.  I had it before the restore.

I went to sync my iPod to my laptop last night, and it said I had to do a system restore as it couldn't read the contents of my device.  I tried restarting both my iPod and my laptop to see if this maybe fixed the issue, but it did not.  When I restored the iPod, I know my last backup (less than 2 weeks prior) had the Podcasts app, but NOW, it tells me when I tried to both download from previous purchases on my iPod and on my iTunes that I have to have iOS 7.  I've had the app practically since it came out and have had nothing but problems with it, but can't seem to find an app that will connect to my vehicle's system without a wi-fi signal.  Any ideas?  You're supposed to be able to get the compatible download through the previously purchased list.

Starting when iOS 7 was releases, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • I can't get the podcast I submitted to show up in iTunes--pls help!

    Hello,
I'm really hoping someone might be able to help me.
I submitted my podcast to the iTunes Store months ago (in early *February*) and it is *still* not searchable/browsable. To test things out, I subscribed to it manually, and all 9 episodes have come to me without any problem, so I don't think there are any technical issues with the feed, which is:
    http://www.workstewpodcast.com/?feed=podcast
In addition, the podcast contains *no* objectionable content or language; it consists solely of very professional interviews with people about the different kinds of jobs they do.
I fear that my listeners are starting to get annoyed, because I keep saying that my podcast will be available via iTunes "soon," so I would be very grateful to anyone who can help me solve this problem. I have tried to send emails to various iTunes customer service addresses, but so far no joy.
    Any suggestions/similar experiences?
    Thanks very much,

  • HT1923 I can't get the latest itunes update to work

I'm trying to copy any remaining files from my iPhone 3gs on to itunes ahead of upgrading to an iphone 4. I also use an ipod classic 120 gb on the same itunes account.
Itunes asked me to update to the latest version (10.6.3.25) but the Mobile Device Support won't update its stuck at version 5.1.1.4 and I can't uninstall it either. Even after going through all the steps to manually remove it, it hasn't uninstalled.
    What do I do next?

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • I have an older s3 that is off-network, How can I get the kit kat update on my s3?

I have a "retired" Galaxy S3 that I am keeping as a spare-  The Kit Kat update supposedly has been available since 6/20, but I cannot get the software on my off-network phone to update-  even though is is connected by wi-fi.  I spent about a half hour chatting on-line with tech support Monday, 6/23, who assured me that is would update over wi-fe-  although I have NOT been able to do so yet.   I went into the Verizon store yesterday, and the woman I spoke to there told me all I had to do was swap SIM cards with my active phone, then casually mentioned that if I did that, it would void the warranty on my new phone by taking it off-network.  Great, just what I would want to do...
I am seriously considering re-activating it for a couple hours, just to get it updated, then deactivating it again.  It would seem there should be an easier way.

Thank you for the prompt reply, but still unsatisfying.  I spent a couple hundred dollars for this phone less than 2 years ago (not to mention the $600 for the S5 off-contract a couple months ago) and you are telling me that I have to void the warranty or open a new data-service line to get the proper support for my Verizon-branded device?  At this point the S3 is off warranty and primarily used on wi-fi-  I could just as well root it and run custom ROMs I suppose-  nothing to lose at this point, since the company that sold it to me won't even help to keep it up-to-date.  I don't mean to sound like a whiner, but this is not what most would consider good customer support.

  • HT5248 I can't get the 9.2 update through the App Store even though I get in-app prompts to do so. Says "No Updates Available"

I have iWork installed from disk, and as I understand it all software updates come through the mac app store. All my apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) prompt me that there is an update to install. Clicking "Update" takes me to the Mac App Store which simply gives me a "No Updates Availible" message. The app store seems unable to verify that I have apps qualified for upgrades that were not purhcased within the App Store.

iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
You can also download the standalone updater from this page.

  • Can't get the Camera Raw update to 8.3

OK, this happens every time there is an update. I see that Adobe has an update for Photoshop CC, but the Creative Clod Desktop application says it is up to date, which it isn't. Have contacted Adobe support many times Twice today, the Chat people cut me off while transferring.
    What I have already done:
Since I have been through this many times, I know the standard drill well.
Log in and out via the desktop app. even go so far as to log out, quit, reboot the computer and log back in. Didn't help.
Delete the AAM & OOBE(?) stuff and do the same thing. Didn't help.
Uninstall and reinstall the Photoshop CC application. Reinstalled the 8.2 version of the plugin.
Uninstall and reinstall the Creative Clod Desktop application. Didn't help.
Contacted Adobe support and got cut off twice.
FWIW, I have a permanent license for Lightroom and got an update notice for it via the old style updater and it worked fine, but now I get a notice when I try to go to Photoshop that I need the Camera Raw 8.3 plugin which Adobe refuses to let me get.
This happens with every update, but the trick that worked the last time never works again. To say I am frustrated would be a massive understatement.

Oldbalddude to determine the exact cause of the installation failure I would recommend reviewing the installation log for Camera RAW update.  Please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log file.  Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion thread.

  • I can't get the new flash update... FF says i need a plugin to get the download, and when i get it (gp.xpi), i can't install it. what should I do?

I've followed the instructions on the flash website, but i can't even get the flash file to download. the file that i get is supposed to be asociated with FF, that's why im contacting you guys. is there other way i can manually allow adobe to install flash without using their website directly?

I had that problem myself and was forced to download the installer for "other browsers" using Internet Explorer at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ . After I did that it installed correctly. You can also try downloading the FULL installers for flash at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html . Just make sure that all browser windows are closed before you run either of these.
