When I try to intall new apps it comes up with someone elses iTunes email address and is asking for their password? I have no idea who the email belongs to. What can I do?

Connect to your computer, with your iTunes Store account logged in, and sync. The iTunes account link on the iPhone is set based on the active account on the last computer to which the iPhone was connected.

Can't install new mini HELP!

Could some kind soul give me step by step instructions on how to install my new mini. Having read through some of the topics I seem to have a common problem. My pc will not recognise the new device and consequently it seems the rest of the install program doesn't work. My daughter has a mac laptop(with i-tunes and her own mini) so perhaps I could use that to help get mine to work.

I have installed i-tunes on the kids computer that runs Windows xp with no probs. Followed the instructions and everything happened as it should,it recognizes my ipod and I downloaded all my music( which I had to transfer from my laptop!)My daughter has an Apple Mac laptop and is away from home at boarding school, so that was not an option.
It must be something in my laptop that is not configured correctly. I can install from the ipod mini cd rom provided, it just doesn't install the drivers. I have been into Device Manager and it shows a yellow folder called ipod mini and I 've tried installing from there but it still comes up with the message that it can't find the drivers....even when I load the cd rom. It really is maddening....I hate it when I can't solve probs! Mind you I have had an interesting journey into the deeper workings of my laptop!

Currently, I cannot install any new software on my mac. I have a PowerMac G5, dual 2-Ghz 2-GB RAM, OS 10.3.9. Whenever I attempt, it tells me that I need to be (or contact) the adminstrator, which I am; most often, I can get an "authenticate" option where I can simply re-type my password. Other times I don't get the option and the install shuts down. This all happened after I ran the drivers for the Arduino microprocessor. Any ideas?

This sounds like normal behaviour. The OS is supposed to ask you to approve changes that are system-wide. Or am I missing your point?

The suggestions about first aid sound like good ones... Before repairing permissions, verify the disk and make sure it says it "appears to be OK".

I can't install new applications to my iPod Touch. I've restored the iPod, reset both it and the computer but it still won't work. The unknown error code is 0xE8000050.

You may want to test with a different free app. Also try to restart the device, and try to sign out then back in the iPhone.
Turn off Cellular data as that won't work if it's a huge app.

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

The message implies that a previous purchase may not have been paid-for due to problems collecting the money from your account. Have you tried logging into your account and updating/changing your payment details (tap on your in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and tap 'view Apple id' on the popup and sign into it) ? Until there is an accepted payment method on your account (credit card, redeemed iTunes gift cards) and what you owe has been paid then you won't be able to download anything (including app updates).

totally agree. at this point i could care less if "apple" supports it. i'm not renting my ipod touch, it's mine. i paid for it. and i'm not asking to do anything illegal with it, all i want is to get rid of this POS ios6 and get back to being able to use my ipod touch the way it was before...working.

I just upgraded to 10.7.3 and now I can't install any applications.

I just upgraded to 10.7.3 and now I can't install any applications. Everything else in the OS and in applications seems to work OK. After the installers ask for the system password, they do nothing. I doesn't hang; it just won't proceed any further in the install process. I can press the back button and it seems to do that just fine. I repaired the disk permissions, but to no avail.
After I installed 10.7.3, I tried to install an updater that was listed as being recommended for Time Machine users. That was the first time I tried to launch an installer of any sort and it did the same as above. I've gathered since then that the update wasn't necessary and was already included in the 10.7.3 I loaded today.
Any hints?

I'm having a similar problem after installing 10.7.3 and the Messages beta. I've unistalled Mesages with little bit of trouble.. Linc, I followed the step given in your final post any help would be appreciated.
A screenshot of my actual error. I get this error not just for Flash, but also Handbrake. I receieve th error even when I try using a programs automatic update. However, not suprisingly I do not get the message when using Apple's software update.

The iPlanet Application Server is supported on 
UltraSPARC running Solaris 2.6 or Solaris 8 
or 
Windows NT 4.0 SP 5 
It's also available on HP-UX 11.0 and AIX 4.3.3 
but I don't know on which hardware

I still can´t install new Symbian ANNA, my Ovi Suite and N8 still writte "No updates availeble". I tried every option, which is avaible for update, but answer is still the same : "No updates availeble". Do you know, where is problem and how can I fix it?

US typically gets the updates late because the laws there require certain additional software. For example, there the phones are required to transmit GPS data to 911 if the phone is capable of doing so, in other countries this piece of software is unneeded. Thats just one thing I can remember off the top of my head apart from the info that AFAIK software will also have to be approved by the FCC over there before it gets released.
