Can't login to iCloud Family Manage from macbook

I click on Manage Family from the iCloud settings on my macbook and it asks for my password. I type it in and the window goes away and comes right back. I know I'm putting in the right password because when I put in the wrong one it actually says "Incorrect password." Either way, it doesn't work. I just installed 10.10.1 FYI. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!

How are you trying to connect?  Are you using a browser and https://www.icloud.com for access?

  • Can't login to iCloud to restore from backup

So I restored my iPod, and before that had backed it up to iCloud.
When I got to the setup I chose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and logged in with my .mac account.
After I put my birthday and agree to the terms it says setting up Apple ID or something. Then, a message comes up that says: "Move your MobileMe Account to iCloud Go to me.com on your computer to move your information to iCloud."
First, it's a .mac account, and I used the exact same account to restore a backup from iCloud on my iPad.
I really want to restore from that backup, I have a ton of stuff in there.
What's going on and how can I fix it?

    I figured out the problem.
I wasn't old enough and then my old birthday year was changed and so it couldn't log in or verify or something. But now I changed my birthday and it's restoring right now.

  • Can't login to iCloud messages and FaceTime

i can't login to iCloud imessages and FaceTime.

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait for it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Log out and log back in. Try again to sign in.
    Step 3
Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 4
    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 5
Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 6
    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 7
    Select from the menu bar
               ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 8
Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and delete all items with "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name. Log out and log back in.
    Step 9
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 10
Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound outputand Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still doesn't work when you restart in "normal" mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 11
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 12
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 13
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).
    Step 14
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 15
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support. When you set up a support call, select "Apple ID" as the product you need help with, not the hardware model. That way, if you're not under AppleCare, you may be able to talk your way out of being charged for the call.

    Ditto here.
I tried setting up iClunk today.....
.....on my Windows 7 64bit computer.
I click on the iCloud icon in the Network & Internet section; the iCloud sign in window pops up and I type in my Apple user ID and password and it replies that I need to setup a separate iCloud account....even though it plainly states that for the user to "Sign in with your Apple ID".
    Go figure.

Well, you're gonna have to recover the password for that Apple ID:

    Hey jamesarm97 & diegofoto,
On August 21st, some users may have been unable to access iCloud services for a short period of time. Apple worked quickly to resolve these issues, however you two may have experienced them. To check the current status of these systems please see:

If either of you are still experiencing issues, you may want to troubleshoot with the following articles:

  • I can not login to Adobe Application Manager without admin privilage. WHY?

I can not login to Adobe Application Manager without admin privilege. WHY? I must run app as administrator, only this way i can login using Adobe ID.

if you are receiving an error that you do not have sufficient permissions to install the software then please try installing under a newly created local Administrator account.
A normal administrator account should not run into these difficulties so it would appear the file permissions under your current account have been damaged.
Alternately you can review your installation logs to more accurately identify where the file permission errors are occurring.  Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Can not login to icloud at this time...

    Hi
So, I do not get this. I have tried to setup an icloud account for my dad on his MacBook Pro running 10.8.2, using his Apple id.
It just says that it can not login to icloud at this time, but I can login icloud.com using the same user/password via safari.
So, what is this ?? Anyone with a similar experience ?
    Thanks.
    stj.

    Workaround - works
I backed up and deleted the children's accounts on the Mac, recreated them as normal accounts with no Parental Controls and setup all of the iCould mail and other apps.
I then locked down the browser for sites like google and youtube to use their explicit content blocking.
I then added parental controls to the accounts.
All is now working correctly although there is clearly an issue,
If you can be bothered to do this, you'll be fine.

  • I can't login on iCloud from iPad 2, it doesn't work.

I can login from Macbook, iPhone, iPod but from the iPad it says wrong username or password.
I just changed the password, but i still have the same problem. Any suggestion?

"Log in to iCloud" may mean many things:
Is your Apple ID and password not accepted at Settings > iCloud?
Are you trying to literally sign in at http://www.icloud.com?  The setup of that website is completely different on an iPad than on a computer.
What are the exact symptoms?  What are you trying to do?

  • How can I login to icloud from an android phone?

My Gf has my iphone. How can I see recent messages and calls from another device? Or at least see recent messages, calls, pics, etc....

iCloud is not available for android, it's an iOS feature.
You can use iCloud on a windows computer, though, you'll need to download the iCloud control panel for that.
Check out: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1455  for download and information

  • Can't login to iCloud via System Preferences

I am trying to login to iCloud through System Preferences but each time I get a message saying  "You can't sign in at this time. Try signing in again".
I've read about moving the iCloud folder from the Application Support folder, to the desktop, which didn't help.
Does anyone have the same issue since upgrading to Yosemite?

Reset key chain DID NOT, work for me, and I renamed the backup it made back to the original. (Note to others: I may have had permissions or other issues due to the way I upgraded to Mountain Lion by creating a new user and moving things over manually.)
HERE IS HOW I FIXED IT: (I don't know what the ramifications are, so this will make you a backup too.)
I threw away my Library > Application Support > iCloud folder.
In the Finder, choose Go, hold down the option key (alt) and choose Library which will appear in the menu.
Navigate to Library > Application Support and option-drag the iCloud folder to your desktop (that will make a copy).
Now drag the iCloud folder that is in Library > Application Support to the trash, enter your administrators password when prompted.
Then try entering your info in the Preference Panel again.
