When I updated to Firefox 3.6.3. I can't open Internet Explorer anymore. Clicking on the icon just dies, and going through the Search function also fails. If I do a system restore back to before the update, it will open, but Firefox will NOT.

I can't open internet explorer on my computer for whatever reason and have given up trying various scans to figure out the problem. I'd like to download firefox as an alternate internet program, but obviously, can't get online to download it. Is there anyway to download it onto a zip drive from another computer, and then transfer it to my faulty laptop?
Yes. You can download the Firefox installer and copy the file to an USB stick or other medium and install Firefox from that drive.

How can I open Internet explorer 'only' pages on a mac, without creating a drive partition and installing windows separately?
I've tried winbottler, but it doesn't seem to serve my purpose. The web site that I'm trying to access only permits Internet explorer.Microsoft has not written IE for Mac for years so unless you want to create a parition and install Windows, or user a Windows emulator, you're out of luck for installing IE on a Mac.

There might be a work around for you since it's just the one site.
Go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Enable the Develop menu.
Now click Develop from the Safari menu bar then click User Agent > IE 9, 8, or 7 -

SOLVED: Here's the solution to "I can't open images in Yahoo mail with Firefox 7, but IE works." Just before I log on to my Yahoo e-mail site I enable cookies, but I never enable third-party cookies. That has always worked fine until October 2011. Just after I installed the new Firefox 7 this problem began. Now I have just discovered that if I enable third-party cookies the problem is solved. Users should not have to enable third-party cookies to read Yahoo e-mail via Firefox!!!

My T40 shows connected to Wireless with Excellent signal strength but I can't open Internet Explorer
When I turn my T40 on it shows connected to my home wireless with excellent signal strength but I can't get the Internet Explorer to open and can't get to the internet. Please help!

Just wanted to clarify what you meant in this post. If you entered the router's IP address as the static IP for the laptop, you would get the symptoms that you are describing. Try entering a IP that isn't normally used like 192.168.1.142. (That is assuming that your router IP is the default 192.168.1.1.)
If that isn't the issue, please tell me what ipconfig is returning on both the laptop and the desktop.

Can't open internet links in pdf
While trying to copy an internet address in a pdf file, Adobe Reader X said something about changing how the Reader handled this kind of thing. Now it says "Acrobat does not allow connection to:" and the address when I try to connect to using a link. How do I re-enable Internet connections? The help file doesn't seem to cover this area.
I am having the same problem. And I can't even access the Trust manager functions because they are grayed out. WHY? How does one remedy this? Talk about wasting time on issues that should be straightforward!

How can I open Internet Explorer from Forms?
I could manage to open IE with HOST giving it the correct path from IE in my computer.
But how can I find out what directory IE is? Should I use OLE2? If yes, then how do I use it?

Can't Change IP properties is greyed, Can't Open IE
Hi all,
I've getting a big issue with my application server running windows server 2008 R2.
When trying to change IP the TCP/IP properties remains greyed, Can't open Internet Explorer.And can't run some application as they required administrative rights to write to registry.
I logged in as a domain admin and also as administrator on local and same problem.
I've tried to do a full scan, download malaware and couldn't found any threats.
Any help here please.

The process may not reach its destined finish point. The Java Documentation does not inform you of this, though experience will give you some unanswered questions, such as 'Why does this process never reach the finish point'.

I am trying to install software for iTwin Connect, but after downloading the dmg file and launching the program, I receive a message saying the file can't open and to check my internet connection. Any ideas?

I used FF for some time, then I looked up a page in Turkish (not my language), and the page appeared in a small format, and I couldn't open it. Even when I right-clicked the FF icon, I couldn't close it, so I turned the computer off, and restarted, but I still can't open any page with FF because I can't get the full page. I am using an Acer Desktop tower with Vista - I am bilingual German/English. I have tried starting the computer in a different modus, FF starts then, but when I use the usual modus, it won't start - I use ESET NOD32 AV and Ad-Aware, and both haven't found a problem - I am now running Malwarebytes, and so far it hasn't found anything
To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.
