Can't pair iPhone 5 w iTronic bluetooth

I paired my iPhone 4s in 2 seconds with my aftermarket iTronic bluetooth system in my car.  My iPhone 5 refuses to pair.  I see the iTronic option to pair under Bluetooth (devices), as before when I paired my 4s.  I hit the iTronic (not connected) field and it refuses to pair with a "make sure turned on and available to pair..."  Any suggestions on how to resolve?  I have a manual transmission, so without the bluetooth...no bueno.  Thanks

I have the same issue.
Have you found any solution?

  • Can't pair iPhone 6 via Bluetooth

I just got my iPhone 6 today. I tried to pair it both with my hands-free device and my Jam speaker. The phone doesn't find either device. Just spins and spins. The devices are charged, on and near the phone. I saw some solutions her and online, so I updated to iOs8.0.2 and even reset the settings. It doesn't seem like the same issue that some people are having with Bluetooth in their cars, because this won;t even pair it.  Any suggestions?

Are the devices in discover mode?

  • How can I pair iPhone 6  / 8.1 with Audi and Mercedes until 8.1 is fixed?

How can I pair iPhone 6/8.1 with Audi and Mercedes

Generally your put the vehicle into discovery mode, turn Bluetooth on for the phone and the two should discover each other. I don't know what you mean about getting 8.1 fixed, as it is working just fine for me in my vehicle. Try going into the phone and removing the car(s) from the phone list. Turn off Bluetooth. Go into Settings>General>Reset Network Settings. Do a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple Logo and release. The phone will reboot. Go into the vehicle(s) and remove all reference to the phone from the vehicle list. Turn the car off, then back on. Put the vehicle's system into discovery/pairing mode. Turn Bluetooth on for the iPhone. The two should pair after following any additional instructions from the vehicle's user guide, such as entering a PIN code.

  • Can't pair iPhone 5s with Macbook Pro via Bluetooth

I have an iPhone 5s and Macbook Pro with retina display (running on iOS 8.0.2 and Yosemite respectively). For some reason, my iPhone can never see my MBPr but the MBPr can see the iPhone. Pressing the "Pair" button on in the Bluetooth setting panel in OS X will trigger the pairing confirmation to show up on my iPhone. After confirming the pair request, the devices remain connected for no more than 2 seconds. Then they just disconnect. (The status is "Not connected" underneath my iPhone on the Devices list in OS X)
This has been bugging me for a while, even before I upgraded to iOS 8 and Yosemite. I was hoping the upgrade will solve the issue but apparently not. My iPad  on the other hand has no problem in connecting and remaining connected to my MBPr. That's just baffling.
Just some context: the reason why I wanted to connect my MBPr and my iPhone via Bluetooth is because I want to use my my iPhone as the hotspot. Yes, I can use the USB cable, but can't blame me for trying the wireless route (And no, connecting via wifi doesn't  work)
    Any help is appreciated!

  • Can I pair iPhone to iMac to utilise Bluetooth function?

    Hi everyone,
I currently own one of the first iMacs built in 2006 that were originally built for the education sector. This model doesn't have a Bluetooth card so obviously I can't use any wireless peripherals with it.
But my question is whether I can use my iPhone 4 as a substitute. Is there any way to pair the iPhone with my iMac and use it as a Bluetooth access point?
I'm planning on getting a Magic Trackpad for it and I don't really want to buy an adaptor if I can somehow do this.
Thanks in advance for all the help!

The iMac must have Bluetooth too in order to pair with another Bluetooth device. So the answer is no, if your iMac doesn't have Bluetooth you cannot any Bluetooth wireless devices to it. You may however use your Iphone as an access point for wi-fi if you do not have Wi-Fi access, you will need to check with your carrier to see how this is done and what the additional costs would be.

  • Can't pair iPhone 3G 3.0 with Unibody Macbook

I've updated my iPhone 3G to 3.0, but I can't pair it with any of my macs.
    I've tried:
15" unibody Macbook Pro (last. gen, no SD slot)
    13" unibody Macbook
    24" iMac (latest gen.)
It pairs fine with my XP laptop.
When I pair it, it seems to work ok, I get the popup on the phone screen, "confirm you see XXXXX on the computer "Name"", I tap pair, and then nothing happens and on OSX, it says there was an error pairing.
    What's up?

I had a similar problem with my iPhone and Macbook.
What I did that did work was this:
    1) Make sure bluetooth is turned ON on your iPhone, but tethering off
    2) System Preferences
    3) Bluetooth
    4) + Sign to add device (Launches Bluetooth Setup Assistant)
    5) Click Continue
    6) Select Mobile Phone, Click Continue
    7) Click Continue to let it gather information
    8) It will show a passcode, and this should also appear on the iPhone
    9) Click allow/accept or whatever is says on the iPhone when promoted with the code
    10) It will appear like its waiting for something else, just click continue on the Bluetooth assistant and it should continue the rest of the process.
    11) It should then create that Bluetoon Pan network connection
What was failing for me before was after clicking allow/accept on the iPhone I was waiting thinking it should automatically detect this on the Bluetooth Setup Assistant on the mac, at which point it would fail.

  • Can't Pair iPhone to iPad using Personal Hotspot

Hello. I have an iPhone3GS and an iPad (WiFi only). I recently updated my iPhone to use the new 4.3 software and see that it now has the "Personal Hotspot" option. I called AT&T and activated the functionality. However, it appears that I can only use the "Hotspot" via bluetooth or USB.
That's OK but I am trying to connect it to my Ipad. I cannot seem to figure out how to pair the iPhone to the iPad. In the Bluetooth screen, neither of them will show the other. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can't pair iphone 5c to ipad mini

Both devices will pair with a Bose soundlink mini, and the iphone has paired successfully to my car Jabra. I've turned each device on/off, turned bluetooth button on/off for good measure. Both tell me to have the other turned "on and in range", [which they are and in the same room]and that the pairing was unsuccessful. House has wifi.
    Iphone 5c is 32GB  version 8.1.2
Ipad mini is 32GB version 8.1.2
    Thanks for any help.

No. The iPhone is not designed to pair with an iPad or a computer via Bluetooth except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. It does use Bluetooth for things like Continuity and Airdrop but in those cases Bluetooth must be turned on for both devices but they are not paired. The following has more information including a link to the Bluetooth Profiles the iPhone does support: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

  • Can't pair iphone & ipad

I can't seem to pair my iphone & ipad via bluetooth since the ios 7 update.
I tried turning both devices on and off and even clicked on "forget this device
and now the ipad just sits there saying "connecting". Not sure what to do. ?

Actually, MikeK5117 is correct. I have used iPhone tethering with my iPad for the past year as well. It's always paired with Bluetooth and with the iOS 7 update my iPhone 5s and iPad can no longer tether. Hopefully there will be a fix soon... Really frustrating to pay for something and not be able to use it.

  • Can't pair iPhone

Why is it that I can't pair my iPhone 4 to my son's iPod Touch 4G? It seems a bit ridiculous to not allow Apple devices to connect via bluetooth.

Because this is not, and never has been, a feature of either iphone or ipod touch.
You can play some peer-to peer games/apps between iphones/ipods, but it is specific to those apps.
File sharing is NOT supported via bluetooth.

  • Can't pair iphone 5 with Toyota Camry 2011

Hi, I am having trouble to pair the handsfree feature with my Toyota Camry 2011. I have no problem to pair the audio player but having trouble to pair with the phone. I can play the song through BT connecting my iphone 5, but i can't make phone calls with BT feature. Has anyone having the same issue?

I had this issue but it's now resolved.  You can't just pair AUDIO PLAYER or BLUETOOTH - you need to go to Bluetooth set up on the car (press AUX and then the set up button - first button on the bottom left).  It will be at Audio Player set up - NOW you need to scroll using the right hand tuner (round nob on the right side) - and it will give you the option of pairing your PHONE.  This will pair the phone, you can also have it pair phone and audio player.
I suggest removing the audio player pairing from your phone and car and starting fresh.  Worked for me after days of trying to just pair the Audio (not the phone).  Good Luck!

  • Can't pair iphone ios 8.1 with mac

Am running Yosemite on my Mac and cannot get handoff to work. Tried to pair iphone with the mac and haven't been able to do it. Keep getting not connected on bluetooth.Am supposed to be able to get phone calls on Mac and make them using Contacts. No to both.

Not only is the phone NOT pairing with my iMac, I can't seem to get handoff to work. When trying to pair in the system preferences, it shows that the phone is connected for a split-second, then I get the "Network Unavailable" message also.

  • Can't pair iPhone Remote App in 3.0

After updating to 3.0 I now can't pair my iPhone Remote App with my ATV. I had it paired at one point in the past. Since I've done a factory reset of the ATV and today upgraded to 3.0. The option to even add an iPhone in ATV is greyed out and the option to select ATV on the iPhone is also greyed out.

I am having the same problem in that the iphone does not even show up under the remote section on ATV. I have three ATV units and it does the same thing on all of them. They all were accessible using the remote app in the past. Had no issues previously with pairing the iphone as a remote. Updated remote application just the other day and it still is not working. Anybody have a fix. My network is fine we have tons of devices that use it daily. ATV's are connected through ethernet.

  • HT201205 can't pair IPhone with SYNC in Ford

Have tried numerous times to pair IPhone 5 to SYNC system in two Ford vehicles.   Help?

This is a problem with the bluetooth and the macbook air.  I mentioned the reason behind my need to pair - as it is not to share music, internet, etc. which I understand may be an issue.  I cannot find how to get support from the app maker, which is apple from my understanding. This app, keynote, only controls the keynote app on my mac. I haven't had any problem pairing the iphone and keynote but I need to control my keynote using bluetooth, as I have no garuntee that I will always be in a place with wifi or be able to access the wifi.
