Can't play the video in my Lumia 520

I always love the work of nokia and this time trailer app is just Nice but there's a problem.
I have downloaded 6 trailers and only 1 is able to play.
Rest of them says "sorry we can't play this video on your phone".
I have no idea what's wrong with my phone.
Please help.

What is the error message displayed when you try playing the video? Have you tried using mobile data? If yes, does it show the same issue? What fixes have you tried so far? By the way, are you using the same phone model?

The iPad can not play some video formats such as WMV or FLV. Those would need to be converted on your computer to something the iPad can play, like M4V or MP4.
You might ask the person who sent the message to you to do the conversion and send it again.

Can't play the videos?

I just bought the first episode of Lost, and now when i try to play it, it makes me authorize my computer again, and then it says an unknown error has occured (-208). And then it doesnt play my video, anybody know what the deal is?

My laptop plays the video just fine, and my desktop won't play any purchased content. It makes me authorize my computer everytime i try to play something and then says it was successful but follows with that error message. This only just started since i upgraded to 6.0 too.

I download "The Hand That Feeds" by Nine Inch Nails. I had no problem playing it.

I can't play the videos on my ipod

i had some quicktime videos on my computer so i uploaded them onto iTunes and then in iTunes i converted it to AAC format or whatever. it uploads onto the ipod and i can clearly see it on there in iTunes but when i try to watch it on my ipod the video does not show up. can you help please

For future reference: Open the file in the running QuickTime Player by navigating to your iTunes library storage area (or other specified directory if you changed this) and selecting the appropriate file. If the file opens without a display screen (i.e., just the slider), this it is a sound only file. If a screen does appear, then open the "Show Movie Info" window under the Window menu and check the "format" entry to see the Audio/Video compression that was used to create the file. (It is always a good idea to check this as a first step when troubleshooting a file doesn't play correctly or won't sync to the iPod.)
If the file is determined to be sound only, then somewhere along the line it was mistakenly converted to an audio only file, the video was extracted mistakenly from the original file which was then saved, or the audio track was somehow extracted and then saved as a new file. If, on the other hand, the file still contains both audio and video content, then as someone else mentioned, check you iTunes settings to see if the file is being considered a music video with video simply turned off.

Can't play quicktime video in IE 11 on Windows 8.1

So, I wanted to watch the sweet new film of the iPhone 6, but after I click the "Watch the film" link, all I get is the player control... I can't get the video to play:
I'm running the latest version of IE 11 on Windows 8.1 64-bit. I also have the latest version of QuickTime v7.7.1.
For what it's worth, I also can't watch the video in Chrome, presumably because I have the latest version of Chrome 37.0.2062.120 m (64-bit) and the QuickTime plugin is only 32-bit and not compatible with this version of Chrome.

I updated quicktime to 7.7.5, restarted my computer, and again I was not able to view the video. Just like the screenshot above, I can see the player, but I can't play the video. I then tried to re-install, by selecting repair as you suggested, and still it does not work.
Surely I'm not the only person with this issue.

I am having few avi video files which having (avi.avi) extension i couldn't figure out how its occured(they all video files captured from samsung galaxy note,and appeared noraml avi files but became avi.avi i tried removing one extension,eventhough it says having one extension when you look in to the properties of that file you can see avi.avi ,the problem is eventhough it playable in vlc sometime,when i try to import to premiere pro -it says the file is corrupted.

Can you play the video on your Mac's screen (not connected to the TV)?
When you connect to the TV with HDMI, do you see a desktop appear? (Before you start the movie.)

Not it's only function but one for which it was most admirably suited, which is why I really hope someone can find a work around. I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. I did not miss the the text at the top of the feedback form but you presumably missed my initial text, 'someone here can explain' or my subsequent 'work around from another user'
Just in case anyone reading this has a large collection of music videos, video podcasts or iTunes U then DO NOT upgrade your iPad to iOS 5. If you are considering purchasing the iPad as a useful mobile device to experience these media organised in your iTunes please don't as you will be wasting your money. (unless someone on this forum knows of a way to undo the mess created by those infallible folks at Apple)

The start chapter button is a play the whole movie button regardless of how many other markers you have.
Once a DVD starts playing it continues to the end.
Chapters marker simply gives the viewer a place to start playback whether it be the start, middle or near the end.

I can't play certain videos from the internet on my macbook.
When using Sarfari or Google Chome, I am unable to play some videos on the internet. News clips, posted videos on blogs, and tv episodes from their own network websites. Youtube videos are fine. I doesn't make sense.
I tried downloading an update for quicktime, but the computer claims that quicktime is up to date. Yet, the videos and tv episodes don't play.
I have checked for the most recent software updates, and everything is up to date. Nothing is wrong with the hardware either.
Any suggestions would be awesome! Thank you!

In addition to Flash, you might need some other plugins. Microsoft videos are mostly in Silverlight, and you'll want Flip4Mac to play WMVs. Perian contains codecs for pretty much every video online.

Thank you for that, I wanted to make sure I was trying to replicate the same thing as you. Just tried it now, works fine for me.
Of note though, this will take a relatively well performing network to achieve this, I have such a network, if your network is not as good as it might be, you might encounter problems.
For the avoidance of doubt, I used the remote app on my phone to get my iTunes library on my computer to stream music to 3 of my Apple TVs, I then used the remote app to control another Apple TV and get it to stream a music video from my computer to it. Of interest I managed to do this while my wife was using yet another Apple TV (not with the remote app) to watch something else from iTunes on my computer.

I going to recommend again, downloading and installing some video helper applications.
1. http://perian.org/ (this will add a number of different file types to the ones QuickTime already plays)
2. http://www.divx.com/en/software/mac (will add more file types to what QuickTime can play)
Either one of these might be necessary to get MPEG Streamclip to export the video. Failing that the only other thing I have found is an obscurve discussion thread on Avid.com:

I've figured out what the problem is on my end. The video came from Avid on a Windows machine and was encoded with Squeeze. I found out that the 2 seconds of black at the top of the video were at a different frame rate than the rest of the video. I chopped off the 2 seconds of black and started at the first frame of video, exported it with Quicktime Pro and was able successfully view the video in ProTools. Apparently Squeeze will let you create a movie file that has different frame rates within the same movie... This fixed my issue that was exactly as you describe, hopefully it might work for you.
Lastly, you could try converting the video clip using HandBrake

I already spoke with Google, but they didn't have a problem. I can open other website and by example videos from Vimeo, but I can't play YouTube-Videos.

I can't play the preview videos on iTunes, Quicktime error

For some reason I can not play the preview videos on iTunes. I can play the videos I have bought allready though. So, when I try to run quicktime outside of iTunes I get this error message.
"Quicktime failed to intialize. Error # -2096
Make sure your Quicktime is properly installed on your computer"
I've tryed uninstalling quicktime and iTunes and reinstalling them both. And I have also tried reinstalling just the Quicktime without redoing the iTunes.
If someone can please help I would appreciate it. I would love to be able the preview videos and movies on my iTunes.

Try another sync. You can even deselect music for th first sync and then reselect it for a further sync.
