Can't print test results as "user"

Hi,
I have a program  written in Labview 6.1 by another developer. This program runs on a
PC with Windows 2000 ver. 5.0 Bld 2195 SP 3. Even though this is a
stand alone test station and cannot ever be connected to the internet,
we have McAfee virus protection ver. 8.01 installed and running. Test
data is written to an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is then stored
on the hard drive and printed on a dedicated printer.
When the operator is
logged on as a "user" he can run the program but he cannot print or
store his test results. Also, I have noticed that all the print vi's on
the function palatte are missing. Even the Excel and Word ones
When
I log on as a "system admin". I can run the program, print and store the
test results. Also, all the print vi's on the function palatte are
present and functional. Including the Excel and Word vi's.
For security reasons, no test operator can be a system admin.
So, how can I have my test operator be a "user" or "power user" and not a "sys admin", run the test program, print and store the results.
Please
note, upgrading the system or software would take an act of God (i.e. permission
from the military and the customer and DSS.), so that is not an option.
I have also tried making the test operator a "power user" and he still cannot print his test results.

    If you use your netbook to print through the Wireless, be aware that Windows 7 Started eddition only support printing through a direct USB connection, network communication with the printer is not supported by the OS:
    IMPORTANT NOTES
    For Windows XP Starter Edition, Windows Vista Starter Edition and Windows 7 Starter Edition

    If it is connected through the network, plug a USB between the laptop and the printer, then try printing and check for any difference.

  • HP Photosmart C4585 - can't print test pages + copies are all reduced in size

    I have 2 problems with an HP Photosmart C4585 All-in-one printer.
    Firstly, I cannot print test prints ie 'Network Configuration Page' and the 'Run Wireless Network Test' page. It sounds as though it's printing but it produces blank sheets.
    Secondly, trying to Copy A4 originals to A4 paper the printout is always reduced in size to about a quarter of the sheet (more like photo size) - no matter which setting I select. It's also printed blue.
    The printer is not connected to a computer but I successfully print A4 documents in black, from an iPad using the HP ePrint app. So it is just the copy facility which is malfunctioning.

    Lets eliminate software interference by downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:

    It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

  • HP210a print jobs fail over wireless, but can still print Test Diagnostic page over network

    Help!  I cannot print over the wireless network anymore.  When I try, the print job queues up and I get "Error - Printer" message.  I can print the Test Diagnostic page just fine over the network.  I can also print fine when connecting via USB port.  I have the latest firmware.  Any ideas?

    The HP Print and Scan Doctor will help resolve this issue. I would also restart the printer. Unplug wait 1 min plug back in.

    I don't think this is possible with SDK code and PLD. You can do this if you're using a standard Crystal Report layout and you just send code to it using your code. Otherwise you can try and do this with user reports and queries in SBO itself without the SDK. But you're going to have to make all your layouts with more or less the same query and have where statements that limits the rows that shows on the report.

  • Can only print test page on new SL install, nothing from Word, IE, etc.

    I have a 2008 MBP w/ OS 10.6.2 installed, using an Epson Workforce 600 w/ Epson's latest drivers and installed everything going by their 10.6 FAQ install guide.
    So I go into the Epson printer software and I can successfully print a test page off that program. But when I try to print MS Office documents, a .pdf off Preview, a webpage off Firefox or IE, or any other program besides Epson's printer software, nothing will print. What happens is the print box comes up with my print options, and I click on the blue "Print" button, and it will flash light blue like it knows I clicked on it, but after that nothing, the print dialog box stays up and nothing changes.
    Any ideas on what I can do to get the rest of my applications printing properly? It ***** having to boot into Bootcamp just to print stuff.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having an issue with connecting the printer to your new wireless router set up.
    I see that you have attempted several steps to get reconnected.  I do have a few additional steps we can try.
    On the printer, please go to the SetUp menu, followed by the Network menu.  Once in the Network menu, please go to the bottom of the list to the Restore Network Defaults option and select YES.
    Once the Restore Network Defaults has been done, please go back into the Network menu and select Wireless Setup Wizard.  Follow the steps in the Wizard and this should now connect to your router.
    If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

    I am looking to gather test data using LabVIEW. I then want to store all the data in the same spreadsheet, a kind of central data base. I know how to store single test data in a spreadsheet but I can I get the software to write new data in the same file without over writing the old data?

    My first recommendation is that if you need a database--use a database not a spreadsheet. A DBMS isn't that hard to use and could pay big dividends in the future.In any case, to answer your question directly, it sounds like you are writing tab-delimited data to a text file that you will then open with a spreadsheet program.     See Using LabVIEW to Import Data Into a Microsoft Word Document. That article talks about launching LabVIEW from Word, but the important bit for you is step #2. I believe this specific method requires the Office Report Generation Toolkit.
    Of course, you can always use ActiveX directly.

  • MFP M127fn connected, test printing OK, can't print from applications

    Hello Everyone!
    I have just set up my M127fn via USB on a Windows 8 system. The set up went fine. I have a small stack of test pages from the HP software, but it won't print anything from any applications like MSOffice. The HP diagnostic software (Print and Scan Doctor 4.6)  can communicate with the printer and everything checks out OK.
    Any suggestions?

    Based on your issue, you mean that you want to copy the test plan with test results from the current team project
    to other team project, am I right?
    If yes, as far as I know that when we copy test plan with test results to other team proejcts. It is default that
    there just will not copy the test plan with test results (pass/fail) to other team project in MTM.

    what gets cloned, it explained that which objects are copied from the source test plan to the destination test plan.

  • User can not print

    One user can not print from Photoshop CC. I have test other users from the same computer and they can print.
    I use Windows 7 Ultimate and SBS 2011.
    Is there a way to clear all Photoshop CC from a user profile? it must be the first try.

    After lots of work, I found the problem. A corrupt local user profile.
    After logon on another computer and everything work, I try to identify the cause on the user profile.
    After I remove the local profile, I using a network so it creates minor problems, everything works.
    The thing which make me not think about this was that all other program, even Adobe, could print.

    Put the testcase name on the result file name (for example : TC13505_ValidateScreenComponents_2015_01_22_05_59)
    If possible,Programatically attach the html result file to the test case attachements

    I need to set a custom valus for (ResultsDirectory -
    TestLogsDir -TestResultsDirectory
    - TestName) on the runtime.

    Thank you for posting in MSND forum.
    As you said  that you want to collect all test result html files on one folder with the project name by programmatically way to change the path of test result file in coded UI test.
    As far as I know that when we run a coded UI test every time, it is default that there will create a new folder to save the new UITestActionLog.html.
    So we could not change the path of test result file and collect all test result html files on one folder in VS IDE.
    At present, there have no way to collect all test result html files on one folder and change the test result file path.
    In addition, I know that we can change the TestResults folder using mstest.exe in command line.
