Can't receive mails on iCloud

I woke up, everything on my Macbook, iPad and iPhone was alright, but in 30 minutes all contacts and emails from my iCloud account @me.com disappeared.
From my mail address was sent some "call for help” mail signed by my name from Ukraine and asking for money.
I contacted Apple support here in Czech Republic and we manage to somehow get the contacts back to my iCloud from backup of my iPhone and restore mail that I can see all emails till today’s 10AM
But I can't receive any mails since then and I know lots of people wrote me some.
So, that's my issue and I really need some help :-)

I've literally tried everything. both on my iCloud account on my chrome browser AND in my Apple Mail, it just suddenly stopped sending my mail yesterday morning and hasn't since. Online it returns an error message after trying to receive mail 2-3 minutes. I really need my mail. Thanks for the help.

Yes, it's a massive problem here too. This has been going on for 2 days at least. Today I have only received one of the four emails that were sent to me. Yesterday I received only half of them. My Google email account is fine but that doesn't really help me as loads of my friends and clients use the iCloud account. Why isn't Apple explaining why this is - there are lots of complaints on the web about this.

Unless you tell us what you have tried that didn't work, we have no way of knowing.
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to ICloud then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to sync your Mail view Wi-Fi.

My daughter is having problems, has since last night. So, I guess she is one of you 1.1% who are affected. My husband & I are not having the problem. Since she is at work, I did some research on the problem for her and bumped into this forum. I did respond to the Report to Apple. She did the same several times. I hope everyone is reporting when that window option pops up so that Apple can see the real size of the problem....

TS3276 Mail account set up. Can not receive mail-Everything is green in Connection doctor but when checking activity it shows stop signs. Was able to receive mail until last week then all of a sudden stopped receiving mail but no changes were made.

My mail account has been set up and working to send and receive mail for several months. All of a sudden I can not receive mail. The connection doctor shows all green lights. No changes have been made and nothing has been changed on preferences on IMAP and SMTP. I can send mail. My other accounts all send and receive mail. When you click on activity the list shows stop signs. All accounts show that they are online.

UPDATE:
I deleted all the messages off the server of the offending email address and everything works fine now.

Google them to confirm the settings that you need for the outgoing server, then check the setting you entered on the pad. Pay real close attention to the outgoing server name, and port. You may need to change in on the pad.

Double check to make sure that your same email addresses are set up on both devices in the Messages settings. Also ensure that you have text messaging forwarding turned off if you do not want to receive them on your iPad.

i'm now stuck since last week on 2 computers i can't use mail !
the message say my password are wrong etc....
- i tried remake the account, change the key chain etc... nothing works.
- the only solution i get for the moment ! i download thunderbird install and it work sperfectly !
- it's crazy we can't receive mail with mail from mac !!! but with thunderbird yes, but the problem i use mail for so long so it's not easy for me to get use to it.

There are a couple of things to try.
First, rename your mail plist file, as sometimes it can become corrupt. You may need to renter your account information the next time you start up mail. So, exit out of mail, then find the file in your library under preferences as com.apple.mail.plist . Rename it to, for example, com.apple.mail.save .
Before you load mail again, go under applications/utilities, bring up the Keychain Access program, and delete any mail ID passwords.
Restart mail, and renter any account information required. If it now works, you can delete the com.apple.mail.save file.
If that doesn't work, download the OS X 10.6.8 combo update from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 . Before you run it, bring up Disk Utility (on your hard drive in applications/utilities) and repair permissions on your hard drive, run the combo update, then repair permissions again when complete. This will reapply all updates to the operating system, and can sometimes fix odd errors that crop up.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

Apple Mail: Can't receive mail

I can't receive mail, or set up new mailboxes. I can send mail. Here is a picture of what I'm receiving. I've troubleshooted on my own, changed ports (993, 143, 538), used connection doctor, checked and unchecked SSL, and still no success. Here are a few images.

i am using iphone 4 32gb. i have just updated yo 7.0.4 mail app acts sooo weird. it randomly crashes, it responds so slow randomly again.
i registered outlook account. i can send mails from my phone but i can't receive mails. when i send an email it does arrive and i can monitor it on desktop pc.
i did every kind of restoration(ios restoration included) but no change. i have been trying to find a solution for 4 hours but nothing came up yet:( please help

You mention Outlook. Is this an Exchange account? If not, just delete the account and add it back, ensuring that you have all of the information from the email provider to enter into the account. Receiving mail is dependent on the Incoming Mail Server settings area. What kind of error message do you see when trying to get mail? Something should be displayed to explain why you are not getting mail.

I am adding my email accounts on an Iphone 3gs and 4.
I'm adding some accounts Hotmail..me validates the account and asset sincronize mail, contacts and calendar.
For in the Iphone 4 I get in the middle of the screen:
You can not receive mail
Failed to connect to server
In no case 3gs I think ... it's like add me give this error. But after work, check email and puts Updated right now. Sometimes this error before I went out to time. No truth why.

Make sure your settings are correct using Mail Settings Lookup.
Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the affected email account.
Tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.
