Can't see slice guides - Fwks CS3

So.... who was the brainiac that thougt in Fireworks CS3 that
"Hey, lets make the slice guides so they appear under the standard
guides (instead of over like previous versions) so you can't see
them unless you must turn Guides off.... afterall, who slices along
guides anyway".
If anyone knows how to change the visibility order of the
guides, it'd be good to know..... staying with older Fireworks I'm
affraid.... pain in the butt not beeing able to see slices.

The same brains behind the engineers who provided the View
> Slice Guides toggle feature. :)
Simply select it to turn it off Slice Guides and just use
regular Guides if you wish or vice versa.
Or if your slice guides default colors are not up your ally -
go View > Guides > Edit Guides and you have the options of
changing the colors, but not the order.
Use Command/Ctrl + H key to Hide Slice Edges as well.

Can't see .swf files in CS3

i've read quite a few postings on this topic but none of the
fixes seem to work. after upgrading to CS3 from CS2, all of my
embeded .swf files have disappeared from the web. to be clear, i
have the .js files and folders all on the remote site, the .swf and
fla files are in the same file as the html page they are embeded
in. i have tested these pages on two different servers and the
problem persists.

Nothing to tick in the View dropdown list (View>Smart Guides)?
If not, you may start from the top of the following list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Can't see the video's and guided tours on Apple site in safari.

When I try to see the guided tours on de Ipad on the Apple site. The video starts, I can hear the video, but can't see it. I've tried video's on other sites and they work fine.
I run Safari on a Windows Vista (Dell) laptop. I run Safari 5.02 and have also downloaded and installed the last version of Quicktime to try to solve this problem.
Tried resetting everything in Safari and installed all windows updates.
Can someone help me?

Help! Sometimes Dreamweaver CS3 can't see my .css file

Once a day or so dreamweaver cs3 can't see my .css file. So
all my files that I am working with turn to poop. To fix I have to
close each file and re-open. Then my .css returns and all my files
are how they should be. Anyone else ever have this problem?

That I do not know - I've never looked. From the styles
panel, I do know that it does not completely disapear - it shows
the .css - just all the rules are missing. I will look next time.

If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Not remembering 9-slice guide placement for rich symbols

Y'all,
I'm learning to create rich symbols in the new FW CS3, and
I'm having some difficulty with the 9-slice guides. I create the
rich symbols, enable 9-slice scaling, save them to the common
library, and generate the accompanying JSF file. Then I drag the
new symbol onto the canvas, double-click to edit it, position the
9-slice scaling guides, and click DONE. The rich symbol now behaves
properly for all instances in the current document.
However, when I open a new document and drag the rich symbol
onto the canvas, the position of the 9-slice guides has reverted to
the default placement. The positions that I defined for the guides
in the previous document do not seem to be saved with the master
rich symbol.
I've looked at other rich symbols (that come with FW CS3) and
see that the scaling guides are clearly positioned and that those
positions are remembered and stored with the master symbol.
How do I get FW CS3 to remember the placement of the 9-slice
scaling guides for my custom rich symbols so that I do not need to
edit and place the guides EVERY time I open a new document? I've
tried to look through the help documentation, and I've searched
online and the forums here, but I haven't found any instructions
for creating rich symbols that remember the 9-slice scaling guide
placement.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

OK, I figured it out over the weekend:
When you define the 9-slice guides for the rich symbol, they
are only applied to the symbol instance(s) in the current document,
so you need to go to the Assets > Library panel, select the rich
symbol, then go to the options menu and choose "Save to Common
Library", then browse to the rich symbol filename. You will be
asked if you want to overwrite the existing symbol file, and yes,
you should. The placement of the 9-slice guides defined as defined
in the current document will now be saved to the rich symbol master
file, and the placement of the guides will be preserved and used
for future instances of that rich symbol in new documents.
Seems kind of odd that there are multiple disjointed steps to
create a rich symbol: draw it, save it, define the JSF script, save
it, define 9-slice guide placement, save it. If I check "Enable
9-slice guides" when I save it initially, shouldn't FW CS3 insert a
step asking me to define their placement before I save the rich
symbol to the common library?
Just a thought.

Red slice guides visible when clicking on a page the first time

This has been around for a few versions now and it's always bugged me but clearly not enough to do anything about it.... When you click on a page that has slices on it after opening the file, you always see the red slice guides even though the Web layer is turned off. To get rid of these guides, you have to turn the Web layer on then off again. Crazy. I've searched a fair bit but not seen anything about this.
Can anyone help?

Had the same issue and it annoys me, too. Fortunately it's a relatively annoyance, I logged it as a bug awhile back and it was just no high enough priority I guess. I double-tap '2' (shortcut for toggle web layer) to turn it clear the red guides on first-view.

Can you see a image in the Get Info Window?

After upgrading to Mt LIon and while using CS6, I can't see image previews in the Get Info window. Can't see images in the upper left corner of the get info window, so I can't make a selection and then do a copy- paste like I could do before I upgraded to Mt Lion with CS6. I want to be able to paste a image of the subjects in my folders.. IE folder of Panda Bears would have a image of a Panda showing on that folder. Folder of The Great Wall would have a image of the Great Wall on the Folder of Great Wall pictures. This has always worked for the past many years I have used a Mac and Photoshop. I started with Photoshop 2. All my photo folders are represented by images so I have a good idea of what is contained in each folder. Now after 2 weeks in China, 20 folders are represented by 10-11-12, 10-12-12, 10-13-12, 10-14-12 and so on. Shows me nothing but dates. I have tried saving as Jpeg, Tiff, and PAD, and still can't do a copy-paste in the Get Info window. Apple says it is a Adobe problem, Yesterday Adobe told me it is because I am uusing a Nikon D800 and Adobe does not have a patcdh for the NEW Nikon camera. I then tried using my Nikon D2Xs, Nikon D3X, Nikon 800 and even my wife's D50 and none of these camera allow me to copy paste the thumbnail image to the clipoboard like I have been able to do for YEARS... I can see images in a folder in Bridge, but the images dont show in my desktop folders.IE, a folder on my desktop with 200 pictures only show with words/ numbers/letters NO IMAGES appear in the folders on the desktop. On some folders the folders in a folder don't show up as Folders either.
Can Any one help me. Same thing happens on my MACPRO w 16 GB Ram and on my 17" MacBook Pro.

It's obvious to a child that if Photoshop CS5 can write the proper things to the Apple OS so that the thumbnails are visible, that there's something Adobe could do to fix it.
But EVEN IF this were something only Apple could fix, that Apple hasn't fixed it yet says pretty loudly that Adobe isn't making the right overtures to Apple for their mutual benefit. Adobe, are your executives so greedy that they can't grease a few palms of their friends over at Apple to put some priority on this? What's the problem here? Has Adobe actually forgotten how to do business?

P.S., You should know that I don't use a Mac and am personally having no issues with seeing proper thumbnails and previews on my Windows 7 and 8 systems, since the software that does that isn't from Adobe.

How can I see a calendar item that was in my backup

I did a full backup at home of my 8330 with BB Desktop Software a week ago.
But I accidentally left my phone in the office and can't retrieve it until Monday.
The data I need is in one calendar entry in the backup. How can I see it? I don't own Outlook or Office.

Not easily, as the backups are intended to restore to the BlackBerry device, not be viewed and/or edited on the PC.
Try to find ABC Amber IPD Converter software for your PC. It can read your backup IPD files and save to Excel or another PC file format.

Can not see the menu of New Business Components Package in jdeveloper

Can anyone help me figure out why my web page is only partially visible to PC's? I built the page with Site Studio 1.7 on my Linux Server and have a table page with the top and right bottom tables visible to PC's but the contents of the bottom right table (which is an embeded adobe.jpg/.html file) is only visible on my mac.

I'll give this a try next...I also discovered that my mac is set at 1440 X 900 (I'm new to Macs too) and I was going more on how things looked on my (only computer) when I should have been paying attention to settings for different Browsers. Now I need to figure out what are the best overall sizes and settings to set things at...any sugestions?
What I have been doing is: taking a .pdf sent to me originally made in Pagemaker Pro 7 --I open it in PhotoShop 8.5 X 11 300dpi I reduce to 72 dpi save for web in slices with images and HTML producing for me a 612 x 792 pixel page... I have a basic 2 col x 2 row table page produced on my hosting server(Site Studio) -in one of three cells I place the header then below left the .html and in the other cell to it's right I place several 336 x 280 flash animations all with the <embed> tags....this obviouly hasn't worked too well...but 750 + 336 is just under 1100 so shouldn't that be ok over all for most of todays Browsers? I don't mind the scroll bar vertically appearing as it makes room for more banner ads down the side (I think).

There could be a few things -
At one time, you needed to run a separate script to create the tables. I'm not sure that is still the case. If you check the Administrators guide, look into the chapter that deals with the EUL Status Workbooks.
If you are not logged on as the eul owner, you may not have select privileges, or you may need to qualify the table with the schema (if there is no synonym) - select * from <eul_owner>.EUL5_QPP_STATS;
If you are on 4i, the table is EUL4_QPP_STATS

Can't see any orders in Mobile Device

Hi all,
As described in topic "How to deploy MAM 2.5 into MI Server", I have just installed MI and deployed MAM 2.5 into an WebAS 6.40 SP13.
I have also, with the help of the functional guys from my team, followed through the Server Side Configuration part of the MAM Config Guide and created the scenario. I have assigned my MAM user (same userID of the backend) to the scenario and I'm now trying to see the orders of that scenario in the mobile device.
The problem is that I can synchronize the device but I can't see anything in the MAM besides de User View Manager.
I executed MEREP_MON and for my mobile ID I can see 1 I-Waiting for each SyncBO, 5 I-Error for SyncBOs MAM25_001 and MAM25_010 (but by the times of the logs, it seems that they are quite old already) and 5 I-Finished for all the other SyncBOs. Also, there are 5 0-Sent for each SyncBO but for MAM25_017, that has 19 0-Sent. All the other fields are 0.
What does the I-Waiting and I-Finished and so on mean? How can I make my user to see his orders?

If it doesnot help, try the following
(1)In the SPRO under MAM Customizing settings, go in to
"Assign Orders and Stocks to a Technician" and then double click the "Assignment Profile(Assigned to your MAM User ID in User dependant data)" and change the Order Assignment & Notification Assignment to "User-->Employee Number", if it is assigned to a Work Center OR a Planner Group.You can reset this back to the original settings later if required.
(2)Replicate the MAM25_090 & MAM25_095 via transaction MEREP_EX_REPLIC in the middleware.
(3) Synchronize the data from your MI Client
(4) If no data exists Monitor your Worklist as you did earlier.

Bi beans- i can't see my dimensions and measures!!!!

hye! i have cretaed 2 cubes in oem (rolap)...
i inserted some information in the tables (some tables are empty)...
anyways...
now, when i try to connect to olap from jdev it's working!!!!!
but, when i try to make a graph or anything a can't see any of the stuff that i made in oem:::
bi designer---new graph---on the step 2 of 8 the only things available are:
- financial data
- sales performance data
(dimensions and measures from bibdemo i think....)
where are my dimensions and measures???????????
i tryded to copy objects from remote catalog... and make new catalog connection... with bibcat but it's not working!
but i think this was not the thing to do!!!!!
what shoul i do next??????

Did you execute the following after defining your OLAP Catalog metadata in OEM?
EXECUTE CWM2_OLAP_METADATA_REFRESH.MR_REFRESH;
The CWM2_OLAP_METADATA_REFRESH package provides procedures that refresh the cached metadata tables used by the OLAP API / BI Beans. This step is required to 'see' your ROLAP cubes. Unfortunately, OEM does not execute this package. It must be done manually.
Please refer to the OLAP Application Developer's Guide 9.2.0.4.1 or OLAP Reference 9.2.0.4.0. You can find them on OTN at the OLAP site:
