Can't see whole screen!

Why is it that when I have my Dynex 32" HDTV set for wide-screen, I can't see (for example) the stats in a football game or the tops of the actors' heads on a regular program?? I've had it for about a month and I'm just watching the stupid TV with a square picture all the time to avoid this problem now. I have Directv if you think that that matters (though I don't think it does, as I've seen the problem on other's tvs who have cable). Pls help! How do I fix it?

What you see with the square picture tends to be normal at times for 4:3 images beign shown on a 16:9 screen. Your only options to fill a screen with the image is either a stretch option if your TV has it or the zoom feature that will cut off parts of the image. On some setups WIde acts the same as the stretch setting on other brands. Ultimatly with HDTV's your settings need to be on Normal and then feed it HD broadcasts where the channels are available. For those that are not available in HD you will either have to live with the black bars or sacrific parts of the images to fill the entire screen.

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

Possibly backlight died, if you look at it closely in bright light can you see a "Shadow" of the screen image?

When i'm in the sun i notice that the screen is really really reflecti've and i can't see the screen at all, not that it's broken or anything. Anywhoo anyway or trick to fix that because i wanna change tracks when i'm outside.

Which player do you have? Sometimes a screen protector can help if you feel the angle or reflection is not to your liking.

Thank you. I told it to the apple store in Southampton and they were fab. I was lucky and there was no water damage, the water indicators didn't change colour. It was just bad luck my screen failed at the same time as it got wet!! Screen changed and all is well. Thank you Genuis Tom and West Quay!!

I believe the keys on an imac are F11 and F12, for dark / bright respectively.
Try that, I think it'll work.
If not, then try out all the "F" keys, one of them will work.

If you plug your phone into your computer you can sync and backup so that when you get the new phone you can restore from a backup instead of setting it up as a new iphone

Download photos from old phone, but can't see the screen

Download photos from a LG Spectrum 2 that quit working, my contacts came over from whenever the last backup was, there were some of them missing as well. I can't see the screen on Spectrum 2, but the power button light is illuminated if plugged into a charger. My Spectrum 2 has an internal SD card, so not just as easy as obtaining from the SD card.

I am sorry for the issues you are having. Without having access to the on screen prompts of the phone the media can not be transferred unless it was previously backed up somewhere such as the VZW Cloud or another 3rd party storage. If you would like you can try to gain access to the media by plugging the device into a computer and transfer the media however this many not be possible as you must enable USB Mass Storage on the device. You can try an alternative.
This is the quickest thing that came to mind, but if you want to wipe it with no care of the data on the device at all:
Place device in recovery mode (turn off device > hold home button + plug in to iTunes (WHILE HOLDING BUTTON)).
iTunes will give you an error saying it detected a device in recovery mode, you need to restore to use device. Restoring device is a factory reset. AKA a wipe of the device

How do you see the whole screen in iMessage after looking at it?

I know how to swipe but the add text feature takes up 75 % of the screen. When I look at it in "edit" mode you can't select a photo to look at.

Can't see whole Keynote window

I'm using Keynote 3.0.2 on OS10.3.9
On my dual G4 19" monitor I can see the whole window/slide (top ruler says 14") plus the thumbnail slides on the side. Either in the Work or Play mode. All works great.
When I use it on my 15" iBook G4, I can only see 11.5" of the window/slide. Which means I'm always scrolling in both directions to align things... a real pain. I've looked at all the preferences and can't find anything that would give me the complete slide. When I click on PLAY, the whole slide takes up the iBook screen which is what it's supposed to do.
Any ideas on this?
