Can't select videos for upload. All files are grayed out.

Ever since Safari 8, I am no longer able to upload videos to places like Amazon (for submitting video reviews.)
When I write a review on Amazon and choose Video Review as the review type, then click on the "Choose file" button, the files listied in the file selection window that opens are all grayed out. None can be selected. This only happens in Safari. I can use Chrome and Firefox with no problems.
Anyone else seen this?
Any ideas how to get this working?
I've reported it as a bug to Apple a month ago and was hoping the recent 10.10.2 Yosemite update would fix it but it didn't.

Might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

My iPod died a few days ago and it was replaced (5G 30GB). I’ve connected the new one to iTunes on my computer (WinXP pro) and all the files seemed to transfer correctly to the new iPod. In iTunes, however, it you select the iPod on the left, all the files are grayed out and you can’t click on them. With my old iPod you could. I also noticed a little locked symbol down at the bottom to the right of where it shows you how much space is left on your iPod hard drive. I’m guessing that the new iPod drive is somehow locked. Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". . If you want to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

how can i delete songs from iPhone when they are grayed out. It doesnt let me delete from itunes either and its just taking up space on my iphone and i cant even listen to the song that are grayed out

I did this with about 100 songs, and the problem is everytime I connect my iphone with itunes, It will automatically sync back every single song I did delete on the phone by swiping.
I did search on google and found out that serveral people has this problem. The songs wont delete from itunes library.
So why do they even make this function if it only deletes the songs for a short time?

Cannot Share - All Options are Grayed Out

New to iMovie '08 and having problems getting my projected rendered. Here's what I did: First, I imported 4 .mp4 files. No problem there. They came in in the order I wanted, all the thumbnails are fine, I can play it from the 'play' button at the very lower left and all I want to do now is burn to DVD. However, all the Share options are gray. Yes, I select the project in the Library before trying to Share. Of note, the 'play' button on the middle left at the bottom of the upper half of iMovie, if I press that, does nothing. What's going on? How do I get this thing rendered? Thanks!

Have you moved the clips you wish to use in your project from the Library to the Project pane?
From what you describe, it sounds like you haven't.

Downloaded and installed all additional content! Everytime I create a drummer track everything is grayed out. I cant choose a genre nor a drummer...

Booting from the Snow Leopard DVD disc go into Disk Utility and select the top most entry, it should be the name of the drive and list its capacity. Then select the Partition tab and then click on the drop down for the Partition Layout drop down and select One Partition. From there name it Macintosh HD with a format of Mac Extended (Journaled) and then click the Options button and select GUID as the Partition Table. Close that options window and Click Apply. After that is done exit DU then start the Reinstall Mac OS X and you should now have a hard drive, IE Partition, to install to.
If any of the above is not available, IE the partitioning and the selection of the drive to install to, then your internal hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced.

The select button for upload a file is not working

Every time I want to select a file or image to upload nothing happens.
I did use the options in troubleshooting but no results.

My Safari will not shut down. The box for this in FILE is grayed out and command Q does not work either. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

You can make an unresponsive application quit by using "Apple > Force Quit > Safari > Quit". You should consider updating your OS to:
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
It's more stable.

Using iTunesU, all GET ALL icons are grayed-out!!!

Dear iTune Friends,
I have been recently downloading courses from iTunesU, until recently when...
I discovered that after double-clicking the course-photo, the GET ALL icon appears normally. But after a few seconds, it turns gray and will not respond to any or all mouse-clicks.
It happens every where that I go, Arizona State, Stanford, The Open University, Yale and even Oxford.
I am using iTunes 10.1.1 and Mac OSX 10.6.6.
Not a single thing has changed, it suddenly began happening and Apple Tech is, as usual, non-responsive.
Could someone please direct me onto the correct pathway for resolution?

I can see no information for uploading my edited tape to a DV Video Camera in line with the process include in V3 of Elements

In V12 of Elements I can see no process for uploading my edited work to the tape in my DV Panasonic Video Camera (NV GS500- 10 years old). This was possible in V3. In V12 numerous video standards are quoted for various destinations but nothing for DV Camera tap drive. Has this facility been removed in favour of more modern social media destinations etc?

OK Many thanks for your help. I am getting closer to my goal. I think I have another problem in that the PC does not recognise my DV connection to the Camera. In line with the process for V3 I have just purchased a Firewire to USB3 conversion cable which my supplier suggests removes the need for a physical 1394 port as the PC detects what is connected to the USB3 port but WIN DV says "no device connected " Also the PC does not give the usual sound when devices are connected. My old PC had a physical 1394 port which I successfully used to download my edited work to the camera via the DV camera port. If you have any advice re the validity of the statement that the conversion cable is sufficient to download to the DV port on the camera I would appreciate it

iChat will Video chat to another iChat in a Jabber Buddy List (Google run a Jabber server for GoogleTalk)
However it will not Video to the Web Page login to iGoogle or the Web Mail Page login. (where people can Google Chat as it were in a Web Browser).
Nor does it video to the Google Talk Stand alone app for PCs or any other Jabber apps on any platform.
iChat uses a connection Process called SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) which is also used by other VoIP devices.
Jabber/XMPP invited the Jingle Protocol for Jabber Applications.
Google have included this in their Standalone app and the Plug-in for Web Browsers on both PCs and Mac (you can get this as a Standalone Plug-in or as part of Chrome)
More on this here This article has been changed several time in the recent months. It now claims a greater involvement by Google in writing the Jingle Library (Although now Google's version does not work with the others)
This tends to mean that using the web Login to Google to Chat also cannot video chat to other Jabber apps that are using Jingle.
If your Buddy is using iChat then check the Video Menu has two items to Enable Camera/Video chat and Microphone/Audio chats are ticked.
In the View Menu the Show Status Items should be ticked (Selecting them toggles the tick and the function On or Off)
It could be Internet speed but at this stage I would doubt this at this stage.

No clue why you cannot make video calls over your cellular operator... have you tried contacting them?
If you're referring to FaceTime, it is currently limited to Wi-Fi only.
Sending files via Bluetooth is not a supported feature of the iPhone or iOS. A simple search of the web or these forums would have made that abundantly clear.
Threatening to throw away valuable items in these forums only serves to make you look less than intelligent. No one here is an Apple employee, we are all users like yourself. As such, we could care less what you do. If you choose to be stupid, that's up to you.

     There are two steps in the solution of this problem.
1. Create an internal table to get the required data based on the given selection parameters.
2. Download the data from internal table to file on the application server.
In the first step,
you should create the internal table with the required structure.
(ii) Use select statement if you want to retrieve data from database with required logic.
In the second step,
Create a string with max. length you required in the report program with some intial value
(ii) Open a dataset by using
OPEN DATASET filename for output in text mode encoding default
to open a file on application server.
(iii) Transfer data from internal table to file opened in first step on application server.To do that
a) Use
      Loop at itab1 into w_itab(workarea).
        transfer w_itab to filename.
      endloop.
(iv) close the data set by using
      CLOSE DATASET filename.
After this step, the file with filename was created on the application server with selected data based on the selectionj parameters.

You dont have to put everything onto your webserver first. You can start with DW locally (with all files stored on your computer) before uploading a completed site to your server.
You can follow these instructions to define/ setup your site locally in DW: Defining a site in Dreamweaver

I believe the "difference" that you're seeing is that one web service is "RPC" style (The Hello World example) and one web service is "Document" style (The WSDL you have downloaded).
Document-style web service methods always have one element as a parameter, and this parameter manifests itself as a SOAPElement in the service interface.
RPC-style web services are true "remote procedure calls", and are more functional in nature, in that they accept multiple parameters. JAX-RPC will bind these parameters to generated Java types.
