  • Why I can't go to my camera from the lock screen?

I just downloaded the iOS5 and i can go to my camera from the lock screen like it is said in the tutorials! What can I do?

press your home button twice when the lock screen comes up and the camera icon will show up.  I thought it was supposed to show up automatically after the update, but it doesn't on my phone.  I have the iPhone 4.

  • In iOS 7 you can still make calls from the locked screen. Just swipe the missed call numbers to the right. Is this a bug?

How is it a security breach? You're free to turn off lock screen notifications for the phone app so that no one can do that.... even if they can, they can only call the number that called you... nothing else. (well, except for 900 or whatever the emergency services number is where you are, but that's required by law).

  • Change de default camera from the lock screen in iOS 5

There are way better camera apps (camera+) than de default in the lock screen in iOS 5, is there a way to change this?

    No.

  • I have upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5.1 and now cannot access the camera from a locked screen.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I have upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.1 and now cannot access the camera from a locked screen.  Anyone have any suggestions?

From the lock screen, to access the camera you touch the camera icon and slide in an upward motion. It no longer takes a tap to get it to open.

  • After updating my iphone 4 to IOS 5 should I be able to access the camera from the lock screen, or is tis only available with iPhone 4g?

after updating my iphone 4 to iOS5, shouldn't I be able to access the camera from the lock-screen, or is this just an iPhone 4s feature?

Double pressing the Home button displays the Camera button.  However after the phone goes to sleep and is awakened the Camera button isn't there.  A double press brings it back.  Is there a way to make it stay there?
No, you will have to double press each time on the lock screen to bring back the camera button.

  • Why are my photos smaller when I access the camera from the lock screen?

I have an iPhone 4s using IOS 5 and I have noticed that when I access my iPhone camera from the lock screen (by double clicking the home button) that the photos I take are only 640 x 480 pixels, but when I unlock the phone and click the Camera icon the photos 3264 x 2448 pixels.  I would pefer to always shoot the larger sized photos.  Is there a way to change this?

Are you travelling towards the object you are photographing at a spectacular speed?  If so, you may be experiencing the doppler effect!

  • Can't start camera from unlock screen in iphone 5c since ios8

    Hi!
Some I can't start the camera from the unlock screen in iphone 5c since ios8 update.
It works a couple of hours after reboot, but the problem keeps turning back randomly.
After iOS8 update I also installed facebook, facebook messenger, linkedin and sync.me and configured skype.
    The actions are:
Enabling the unlock screen and then sliding up the camera icon, it seems to appear a camera captured image but then the screen turns black or greyish (randomly) like the unlock screen background.
The problem doesn't happen from the control center panel locked or unlocked.
It isn't a big problem because there are simple workarounds, but it's annoying when it happens.
    Best regards,
    Bruno.

This problem seem to have been solved in iOS 8.0.2.

  • Can you disable the camera from the lock screen? iOS8.0.2

I have a brand new iPhone 6, updated to iOS 8.0.2 and my friends like to steal my phone and take HUNDREDS of photos and that takes up a lot of space. And my question is: can you disable the camera option on the lock screen only. I know you can do it with restrictions but I don't want to loose full camera options. Just from the lock screen. Thanks!

I agree with the don't let them steal your phone part. But these friends aren't the friends that they sound like. Plus, this wasn't very helpful. But thank you for the "response"

  • Update 5.0.1 on iPhone 4 has removed Camera from my lock screen

I just updateed my iPhone 4 to the 5.0.1 software and after serveral restarts and restores I still do not get the camera button on the lock screen. Any suggestions?

You "DOUBLE" tap the home button, while on the lock screen...is that what you're doing?

  • I want to enter ICE numbers that can be seen from the lock screen of my iPhone. Any solutions?

ICE numbers (In Case of Emergency) help first responders make important phone calls on your behalf in the event of an emergency. Typically these are stored as ICE numbers in your contacts, however, your contacts can't be accessed from a lock screen if you have set a password to get into your phone. Any wonderful solutions? I have developed one solution that works: I entered my ICE information into "Notes", and then took a screen shot of the information. Then I mailed it to myself and saved it in my camera roll. Once I selected the "photo" of my ICE information, I saved this as my lock screen photo. Now when anyone turns on my phone, they see my ICE numbers and they do not have access to any other parts of my phone.

Having access to contact numbers stored in a phone without knowing the passcode sort of nullifies part of the reason for the passcode protection in the first place.  However, I do support giving users more freedom, os long as they understand the possible negative consequences.

  • Camera problem from the locked screen

I am using an iphone 5s and having problems with the camera from the locked screen.
When i flick up the locked screen to use the camera, i am given a blank screen. When i press the home button the camera quickly appears before returning me to the locked screen.
If i want to use the camera i have to unlock the phone.

Try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, see if the camera will now come up with you slide up.
    Cheers,

  • Minor camera issue on lock screen in iOS 8

I have an iPhone 5s running iOS 8.0.2 and fortunately have not had the problem of the camera not working. What I've noticed is that when I open the camera from the lock screen, take a picture, then lock the iPhone back up, the camera app will still be open as if that were the last app I was using before I needed to take a picture. Before the update, I might be composing an email when I want to take a picture.  I could turn off the iphone, take a picture from the lock screen, press the power button, press either button and slide to unlock the phone and my email would come up as if I hadn't called on another app in the meantime. I loved this! As with most other changes, I can adapt, but I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. The camera-from-lock-screen trick was kind of a go-to move of mine. It dawns on me that maybe my the camera's previous behavior was the aberration. If so, I would argue that it should be the norm.
    Thanks,
    TIna

I just tried this and can confirm your observation.
