Can't start Novell Messenger agent in SLES10

While rebooting my GroupWise server the messenger agent failed to start. I tried to start the agent using: rcnovell -nmma start and rcnovell-nmaa start. They both fail and refer me to the logs where I find this message.

I too can not start the intelligent agent. I am on Redhat 5.2
with the (I think production ) version of 8.0.5. Mine seems to
start up but the lsnrctl dbsnmp_status says that it is not
running. the dbsnmp_start seems to work but gives no feedback.
I get the error NMS-00315 in on of my log files. Any one have
any idea? I tried reinstalling the agent and infact the entire

Manually start/stop cmsdk Agents

Hi gurus,
is there a way to start/stop those cmsdk's Agents without the need of Enterprise manager > node configuration ?
My node configuration page in EM does not submit to the action correctly when i select a Agent and click on EDIT. It just goes up to the top of the page and do not
show the EM's Edit Agent Configuration Page.

Just a thought, but have you got JavaScript enabled?
as far as I know, you can't start and stop agents without the Enterprise Manager.
However, why are you clicking on 'Edit' when there are start / stop etc buttons at the top? Are you looking at the right page?

I have installed the agent 10 or 15 times and one installation has failed, no error appeared during the installation but I am having inconsistent issues with my ethernet card not working here and there. We rebooted and can log into Novell client but the login prompt did not appear for ESM client or the icon was not in the systray. Everything seems to work, besides at times (a couple times today) it terminates his ethernet card/connection. I would re-image his computer but he has several applications and it would take several hours, so I am hoping someone has an idea to fix this issue. So I was trying to figure out why he did not get the prompt to login and why it's not in the systray and it appears to not have completed the install? I checked the add/remove programs, its not listed within their, I also checked the registry and found nothing for endpoint within their, but the files are within c:\program files\novell\zenworks endpoint security.
I have also tried uninstalling it but that fails due to it "not being installed", and it will not reinstall over itself either.
I did notice that stuninstdrv.exe is running in task manager. Any help would be great...

If you are searching the registry, check for the "Senforce" string. It should be at HKLM\Software\Senforce
Try running the install program for the ZSC with the following command line:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1"
If you've specified an uninstall password, try this one instead:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1 STUIP=password"" (please note the double quote at the end)

SQL Server Agent can't start

Hi Expert,
I have a problem when using SQL Server 2005.
I also use Windows Server 2008
My SQL Server Agent can't start.
When I try to start, I have message "The SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER) service on Local Computer started and then stopped (object explorer).
Why does this problem happen?

You seem to have an issue with your machine, I suggest you check further up in the event log for problems concerning the event log.
Uploading files here is not possible, open an OSS call (component BC-DB-MSS) and ask the support for help, there you can upload the file.

GWIM 2.0.4 Upgrade Path - Novell Messenger

Is there an upgrade path from GWIM to Novell Messenger. Perusing the documentation I do not see any specifics.
I currently run GWIM 2.4 on SLES10-OES2.
Can I simply copy over the new agents and update the Clients or is Novell Messenger an entirely new product?

I upgraded from 2.0.4 to 2.1 and I just extended the schema and installed the agents. I see that 2.2 was posted yesterday and I hope I can simply do the same.

Error Message: "Skype can not start because the system is not available"

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

This is a cropped image - of course hungarian, because I'm hungarian, but I think many of us could see this as well. How this is possible? "The Skype can not start because the system is not available" *** What kind of system? The Skype was on a P2P system, where is impossible that the system is not available! This is why the skype was much better than the Microsoft's messenger. Then they bought it, and make it wrong...
I found a solution for this problem, this can happen if my client is not updated. But IT IS!
How does it works? Can we use the **bleep** Skype how we would like to use? Or this time we need to find an other application (like Viber), and using that while they not buying that as well, just because that is better?

Can Not start Database after Server is restarted !!!!

I am building a oracle Hyperion Essbase and planning sandbox on my laptop using VMware 9.0
and 11gr2 as ny database.
Once I complete the install and config, I am installing the essbase EAS client, once that is completed I have too restart the server

Can't start camera from unlock screen in iphone 5c since ios8

Hi!
Some I can't start the camera from the unlock screen in iphone 5c since ios8 update.
It works a couple of hours after reboot, but the problem keeps turning back randomly.
After iOS8 update I also installed facebook, facebook messenger, linkedin and sync.me and configured skype.
The actions are:
Enabling the unlock screen and then sliding up the camera icon, it seems to appear a camera captured image but then the screen turns black or greyish (randomly) like the unlock screen background.
The problem doesn't happen from the control center panel locked or unlocked.
It isn't a big problem because there are simple workarounds, but it's annoying when it happens.

TimeZone issues when starting the OEM Agent since summertime switch Germany

since yesterday when the system time has swithched to summer time in Germany I have below errors when starting the agents on our systems:

If you modified the timezone setting in the environment, please stop the agent and exectute 'emctl resetTZ agent' and also execute the script mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn(<agent_name>, <new_tz_rgn>) to get the value propagated to repository.

Pick a TZ value that corresponds to time zone settings listed in:

I checked the TZ settings:

agentTZRegion=+01:00
which is the reason for the difference of 120min as shown by the resetTZ I assume because AIX system time says MEZ -1 and emd.properties finds GMT+1 which gives a difference of 120min.
I already applied the patch 5632264 to the agent, but the issue still exists.
When I manipulate the envirement TZ to GMT+01:00 the agent starts again, but this is no solution. Also patching the TZ of UNIX/AIX is no solution because this will cause other issues.
Any ideas how I can get the agent working again?
ps. I already tried a reinstallation of the Agent, but the issue still exists.

Then run following command

Can't start SAPCCMSR

Hi,
i have a problem with the sapccmsr agent. On one system the sapccmsr agent isn't running. If i try to start the agent: "sapccmsr -DCCMS -j2ee pf=/..." it tells me that the agent is already running under process ID xyz. But there is no process with this ID.
I already tryed to stop, unregister and register the agent again. I also deleted everthing in the running directory of the agent, but it still claims to be running, so that i can't start the agent.
Can anybody please tell me what i have to do, so that i can restart the agent?

Hello Benjamin,
the information about the status of the agent is held in its shared memory.
You can clean up this shared memory using the -inishm option:
sapccmsr -initshm -j2ee pf=/...
Please note that you still have to use the j2ee option and the complete path to the profile so the agent cleans up the correct shared memory.
After this step you should be able to restart the agent.

I have installed Oracle SOA Suite for weblogic 9.2 in a machine with ip 192.168.1.108
I have installed ODI as a server in another machine ip 192.168.1.109
I have installed Oracle Data Base in the of ODI 192.168.1.109
Then I installed ODI CLIENT in my laptop (i mean, the topology manager, designer, operator all in my laptop)
I have made a simple example where i created a "interface in odi" using ODI designer and the a package in which a call a bpel process and it works fine
Now i need to create a bpel process to call a ODI SCENARIO...but i am stock in it.
I have done the following:
1. I deployed the AXIS2 webservice and it's working ok.
2. I have started and ODI agent and I tested it using the topology manager and it is OK
3. I created and deployed a bpel process to call the ODI scenario
When i execute the instance of bpel, i get the following error in the AGENT (which is running in the same machine where ODI SERVER is installed 192.168.1.109)

I have done many many tests, but i can't make it work.
In my last test, I tried to invoke an odi scenario using the STARTSCEN.bat
I followed the instructions in the otn thread {thread:id=839508}
I modified the odiparams.cmd like this

I have tested the connection to the schemas/user of the database (ODIMASTER and ODIWORK repositories) and it's OK
I am kind of new using ODI, but i have made the same TEST in a Virtual Machine installed in my laptop, where i use a Express Edtion Database, a BPEL console, and ODI CLIENTE (everything local) and all the tests works ok.
1. Call a bpel web service from ODI ....OK
2. Call a ODI scenario from BPEL using the AXIS2 web service ....OK
3. start an scenario using the msdos console STARTSCEN ....OK
I also checked that the SNP_REM_REP and SNP_LOC_REPW columns are the same in the master and work repositories, but it's OK
What could be my problem?
I think i can be related to the MASTER and WORK repositories, but i don't know what more could i check
