Can't sync Imac (Ical) with Ipad2 (calendar)

Since a few days I can't longer sync my Imac calendar with my Ipad.
Before it always worked perfectly. Th only thing that's changed is an update of Itunes (11.0).
Could this be the rout-cause? How can I solve it?
Before, when I added something in my phone calendar and I launched "Isync" (on my Imac), my phone, Imac and Ipad were synchronised.
Since a few days, when I add something in my phone calendar and I launch "Isync" (on my Imac), only my phone, and Imac are synchronised.
Can somebody please help me?

If you enable it in iCloud, it should sync atuomatically. Make a backup of it before changing anything.

Thanks for your reply. Problem solved :-). I had to tick the box that said 'automatically sync new apps' and hey presto. Thanks again for your reply. According to the guy in the Apple store on Regent St in London I would have had to create a new account and use an account for each device. Didn't think that was the answer but I thought they knew best. Obviously not.......

Hi, I'm using an iPad 3 and trying to sync my tasks to do in Reminders with my Calendar over iCloud, but it just doens't work. I have iCloud configured in Settings to sync both my calendar and my reminders, but the thing is that I want my Reminders to show up in my calendar so I don't have to swap between both apps.

I am trying to simplify life and that includes synching my calendars all into one. I mainly use my Google Calendar and would like to be able to sync it to my iCal. I tried copying the URL, but it said it would not work....any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?

For some reason a few weeks ago, my iCal just stopped communicating with my iPhone, iPad, and my MobileMe account. Anything that I do in iCal only lives in iCal. Why would you make a new account? This will likely cause many problems. Just get you old account enabled.

Everything you purchased with the old account will always be tied to that account. You will have to authorize the computer for that account and you will have to update the apps from that account.

Under iCloud system setting, I can't click on the Calendar box to sync my iCal with iCloud

I followed all the precedure to enable iCloud for my Macbook Pro. However, under iCloud system setting, everytime when I clikc on he Calendar box (same with contact and other boxes), it appears to sync for few minutes then the box become unclicked. I realized the click is grey instead of solid black too. Not sure why, but I really need to sync my iCal with iCloud as I accidentlly delete everything on my iCloud Calendar which earse everything on my iphone too.

I think we may be talking about two different things. Thunderbolt is the new two way display port on Mac Book Pros and Apple displays.

I have been trying to sync my ical with my google calendar both ways.
I got all new event created in google calendar syncing into iCal but i can't get the one created in iCal go into google calendar.

When entering a new event in iCal be sure your "google" calendar is highlighted on the left had side of your screen. That makes Google your default calendar as you add events. Or you can choose which calendar from the drop-down box in the details box when adding a new entry. The down side is that is seems you can only select one Calendar; so the "Home", "Work", "Untitled" options become moot if you want to sync back to google.
If you already had events scheduled in iCal; you can right click on them, select "Calendar" and then choose your google calendar. When you refresh your google calendar that event should show up.
You simply need to be sure what Calendar you're entering into. Also if you wait a few SECONDS the calendars DO sync without any need to manually synchronize them.
So basically, ensure you're entering into the Google Calendar in iCal and wait a minute.

In what way do you want to Sync your S4 with your Mac? Calendars, Contacts, Email? That is all done Online from a service like Gmail, Yahoo, MS Office365/Outlook.com or Apple's iCloud. No more Syncing over a USB gable that I know of. Not even Apple "i" phones and pads do that anymore.
