Can't turn off Sent Messages display in Z30

Pretty simple. Love the phone. Hate this problem.
I can't turn off the Sent Messages display on my Hub. Option is greyed out.
this is for microsoft exchange outlook account. My Z10 did not have this problem. it is creating a great deal of clutter on my phone. I want them to sync and be kept on my desktop. I do not want to see the sent message in the hub.
help please.

It sounds like you no longer have your phone but need to unlink your phone number from the iMessages service. According to this article, this is what you do:
iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage

Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

Go to Messages->Preferences->Accounts and in the section labeled You can be reached for messages at: make sure only you telephone number is checked. Uncheck any email addresses that are checked.
You mat have to do this on the iPhone also, I'm not sure.

Can't turn off warning messages, tried trhough preferences, about:confing. Messages still appear. Please advice.

Using Firefox version 19.0.2 on MAC. Appears message: "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

In preferences there is no option to choose what warning messages display or not display.
Through about:config tried to change security.warn is set to 'false' by default; security.warn_viewing_mixed - too set by default to 'false'.

I have seen discussions of this issue that run over years.
Basically the programmer is deciding to show this warning to protect you, but they are not considering that by poping up this warning all the time, the user will ignore it and basically waste time clicking past the warning.
In effect it is not a warning but an ignored message. I spent hours working on something using firefox and I just got more angry as I was required to click the pop up again and again.
Programmers - this does not work and only annoys your customers. I know it seems like a good idea but in reality it isn't. Give the customer the ability to turn off and then you have met your security concern - since the customer will have to look up how to disable and the customer won't want to through out the software.
Enough years have passed, fix it.

Hello! your going to want to get into your face book notification setttings. I'm not 100% sure on what exactly you'll select but you'll see the option to turn off the text message notifications on facebook.

I would love to use the book module to design wedding albums with my clients, but with my cost splashed all over the screen I can only imagine the negotiations that will happen over the price I'll be charging them! What I need is to be able display the client price, something allowing a mark-up percentage would be great, however for now I would be happy just to turn it off.

John, with all due respect (and I do have the utmost respect for your opinion and your contributions here and elsewhere) that just doesn't stand the litmus test. As I have shared elsewhere, when I want to design a custom size for a book in Aperture 3, I simply select Custom, type in the dimensions and margin sizes and procede to lay out the book. Once completed, I can export the book to the favored vendor (Which could be Blurb for all I know), export to PDF, Export the pages or spreads to TIFF or JPEG ... and all this in one of those terrible restrictive, limiting and "closed" Apple software options ...
I'm sorry, but the Book module in it's current form is almost a total non-feature for many users. Adobe simply got it wrong. I expected much more from them and was willing to pay for it. Half-measures are not sollutions. Unfortunately for Adobe, I only invest in sollutions not more workarounds.

Can I turn off the retina display feature on the new MacBook Pro?

I recently got the new MacBook Pro with Retina display. I love how fast this machine performs, it's weight and thickness.
However, working in Advertisement, this machine's made my line of work a bit too pixelated. There are no websites optimized for this new display, making portfolios hard to see as the retina screen makes things blurry and fussy looking. Not only that, but non of the Adobe products are ready for this technology either. It's hard to open a piece of software you'd like to design with and work with pixelated tools (photoshop among others).
I can do without the Ethernet port, optical drive and the lack of a locking system for this machine. But, making things uglier on the web isn't something I'm willing to sacrifice since is my line of work. Any idea of a third party that can turn this feature off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, this beauty is going back to the Apple store.

sorry, but the 2880x1800 is hardware; in fact what makes non-optimized sites look (relativly) ugly is that to upscale the graphics to the apparent resolution of everything else each pixel is represented by 4 pixels, and as you know being in graphics, upscaling pictures is generally results in ugly.
Back to my point, there's no software to make the display lose 75% of its pixels; you'll either have to use another machine and/or wait for sites to optomize their graphics for the retina displays...which may or may never happen depending on the sites awareness/closeness with Apple's technology

Turn off AirPlay message displaying during screensave

Apple TV works fine.
During Screen save the message regarding [[AirPlay 1 or 2]] keeps floating around.
How do I setup to get rid of this. Tried AirPlay on and off with no success. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I did choose a Screen Sever but I figured it out.
Under "Settings > General > AirPlay" set 'Conference Room Display to 'Off' and no more message. Turn on if you're making a presentation and need it. This is for Home viewing.

I do not subscribe to this service yet i get them. i have to open them to delete them and i get charged .20 a pop. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Can't turn off new message sound in 31.3.0: prefs checkbox has no effect

After installing this update I was surprised to hear an alert sound on each arrival of a new mail message. The related checkbox (General::Play a sound) has no effect; I get the sound whether the box is checked or unchecked. After changing the setting quitting and restarting the app has no effect.

The notification is behind the sound and is controlled by System Preferences --> Notifications --> Thunderbird --> "Play sound for notifications". Tick that off and that's it.
