Can't upgrade FB Flash version

I am trying to run a project with Workers but I can't.  The system kicks the bucket saying that the version of Flash is 11.1 and 11.4 is needed.  My browsers have 11.4 and 11.5 loaded up.  Also, the message also cites the following location.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64 Bit)\player\win\11.1\FlashPlayerDebugger.exe
How on earth do I update that location if I can't do it by updating the players in my browser.  I haven't been able to find where that location is selected or modifiable and I've reinstalled FB 4.7
Any help is greatly appreciated.

dj_link,
You probably have a branded phone
(one with firmware customised for your service provider)
You will need to wait until your provider has customised and approved the later version of firmware for your phone. As soon as this is done it will be made available via the Nokia updater.
This is one real advantage of buying sim free handsets. The firmware updates are available faster.
Your best course of action is to report the problem to your service provider. If enough people do the same it will speed up the process.

    Hello,
What does "I tried the apt version of which doesn't download," mean? Are you trying to download from get.adobe.com/flashplayer or from Ubuntu's Update Manager?
BTW, I deleted your other thread.  Posting the same topic in multiple threads doesn't help your issue get answered quicker and does lead to confusion in responding to two different threads.

  • Can't upgrade/change/install versions of Flash Player? To ZoneAlarm users here's a fix.

For the past couple of weeks now I've been plagued with the
problem of not being able to properly upgrade my flash player to
version 9. I'd get pass the installation, sure, but they'd be
corrupted installations. I can't view some flash websites and they
keep telling me to install flash player, even when I have version
9! At least that's what the computer is telling me.
After scouring all over the internet for similar problems,
I've noticed more and more correlations between these cases.
Another dilemma plagued me soon after, I realized I couldn't change
    my homepage as well!
Then I read the different cases of other people and what was
striking was that they seemed to all use ZoneAlarm firewall
products. I soon find that the new OS firewall feature of the
    product is the suspect.
For those ZoneAlarm firewall users (specifically with the
retail versions with the OSFirewall feature), OSFirewall might be
locking your internet settings, startup programs, host file, but
most importantly, your ActiveX files! Zone Labs included this
feature to make the product that much more hardheaded, but they
don't realize that we, the users, need these files as well.
The fix is easy. Just navigate to Program Control in
ZoneAlarm (I'm using Pro). In the Main tab, you should see "Program
Control" options. Below that, there is a "Custom" button. Click
that and navigate to the "OSFirewall" tab. Viola! There's those
turds. Left clicking on the second column of the options will give
choices of permission. If you want to make sure that this
superfluous feature doesn't mess your settings again, I suggest you
give all of them "Allow" (check marks) permissions.
NOTE: Even if you disable "Program Control" or OSFirewall,
you still need to enable OSFirewall and change the permissions.
That's because the settings of permission will still be locked to
the current ones. Basically, even if you disable OSFirewall and
have the setting "Install ActiveX" as deny, it's still in denial
permission. Check Marks all the way.
If you still experience problems, and you still feel that
ZoneAlarm is causing the problems, I suggest you go the "Programs"
tab of Program Control. There, you can view all the applications
you've ran your PC. Search "Macromedia" or "Flash" related files
and give them all acces to the internet and full permissions. If
you're not sure, Delete all of the non-Microsoft programs listed to
reset those settings. When you install Flash Player again and you
see the permission requests, just "Allow" them.
P.S. OSFirewall is not available on the free version of
ZoneAlarm. Also, to make sure that ZoneAlarm is causing the
problems, run a comprehensive spyware and anti-virus scan. Most of
the time malware causes these problems as well. Happy
    Computing!

How To Upgrade To Current Version of Flash
I am trying to watch Comcast online. I keep getting this message every time I try to play a video. I have downloaded the new version over and over. It will not work. I have contacted Comcast, and they have advised me that this is an Adobe issue. Please advise how to resolve this. I use Google Chrome in Windows 7.
    Thank you,
    Jennifer

    Jennifer,
Chrome has its own proprietary Flash Plugin (called "PepperFlash"). It can't be updated here, because Google alters the code for it when the embed it. You can try this:
    1. Exit chrome, make sure it is not running
    2. Using Windows explorer go to C:\users\[user name]\AppData\local\Google\Chrome\User data\Pepperflash
    3. Delete the folders you see there
    4. Start chrome again, it should work now.
    Notes:
[user name] is your logon name.
In order to access the AppData folder, you need to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in your Folder Options.
If that doesn't fix it. you'll need to uninstall Chrome and download a new version.

  • Older mac can't upgrade/buy newest version pages

late 2009 iMac running yosemite 10.10 gets this error message when attempting to upgrade Pages to the latest version thru the Mac App Store.
"Can't upgrade as this app was purchased by a different user, or was cancelled previously.  "
This is a new userid on a machine that had been used by someone else previously who is long gone and left no userid and password information.
Only Pages copy on the machine is Pages '09 Version 4.3 Build 1048.
Any advice on how to get the system to allow them to buy the newest Pages version?

You will need to back up that Pages ’09 version for safe keeping as it has 110 more features/functionality than any version of Pages v5. The latter was a brand new application in Oct. 2013, and Apple barely added any functionality from the Pages ’09 application. Pages v5 has had numeric updates with almost nothing to show for improvements.
Someone previously acquired OS X for this machine, and registered the installation to their Apple ID as administrator. Gone or not, only they can acquire application updates from the OS X App Store using that previously associated Apple ID. Only the administrative account on the Mac can install system and application software.
To free this machine from this prior Apple ID lock, you will need to reinstall OS X Yosemite, and associate this Mac's administrator account Apple ID with the new installation (on a fresh boot after install). Any OS X App Store applications previously acquired via another Apple ID are not available to you. Once the reinstallation is complete, then signing into the OS X App Store with the administrator's Apple ID will permit application purchases, downloads, and software updates by that administrator.

  • Can't upgrade a legacy version of iLife '11 from the Mac App Store.

I have bought, a few years back, a legacy version of iLife '11 on DVD. I have heard that Apple is offering a free upgrade to their new iLife suite but when I accessed the Mac App Store, I can't upgrade to the new version. I currently have not made the move to Mavericks and I am still on Mountain Lion on a late 2009 iMac. Have I heard wrong and I am not allowed to a free upgrade or is there something I need to do to upgrade iLife?

You need to upgrade to OS X Mavericks first, as the most recent iLife versions are only compatible with OS X Mavericks.
After upgrading to OS X Mavericks, you will be prompted to update the iLife applications in the Mac App Store, and it will ask you for your Apple ID to register the applications to your Apple ID, so you can get them free of charge

  • Can i upgrade the flash storage of my 15inch mac book pro retina?

I have a 2014 15' Mac Book Pro Retina, and its storage capacity is 251 GB Flash Storage, I in architecture school so i run parallel and some other software to get my work done. I was wondering if it was possible to install or have apple install a bigger storage unit to that i can get that extra space i need for my educational needs.

Apple does not upgrade internal flash storage of MacBook Pros after purchase. Not many other companies that have them because it is a very specialized part, but the one I know doesn't seem to have one available yet for 2014 MacBook Pros:
    OWC Aura SSD Upgrades
Of course, it's best to do so after your MacBook Pro warranty is over.

  • Can't upgrade to iTunes version 9.1.1

I have a 7 year old PC. My iTunes files are all loaded onto my external hard drive. When attempting to download the latest version of iTunes 9.1.1, I receive the following error message"
"Errors occurred while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools> download only and try installing manually." I tried installing manually and I still am getting pop ups indicating "Do you want to dowload the latest upgrade of iTunes version 9.1.1?" This leads me to think that there might be something wrong on my end. Any advice?

Are you doing this through iTunes or the Apple Software Updater?
If so, try going to the itunes download page and SAVE the setup file to your desktop.
After it has completely downloaded, double-click on iTunes Setup.exe to run it....make sure itunes is not running, first.

  • Can't Upgrade To Flash Builder 4.6 Standard from 4.5.1 Standard

A while ago, I bought Adobe CS5 Web Premium (with educational licensing). Since then, Adobe flash builder has been updated to version 4.6, which contains features that I wish to use - mobile developement. However, I cannot seem to find any way to upgrade my current Flash Builder 4.5 Standard to Flash Builder 4.6 Standard. I have found a download which installs Flash Builder 4.6 Premium, but this does not accept my license key (which seems normal, since I do not have a 4.5 Premium license). I cannot, however find any way of updating to 4.6 Standard. There is no "try" option for 4.6 Standard, though on the product page, it claims that it comes with a complimentary upgrade to 4.6 Standard. Does anyone have any clues on how to upgrade Flash Builder 4.5 Standard to Flash Builder 4.6 Standard?

    pythoner66
As per the user agreement, I installed Creative Suite (CS) Web Premium 5.5 on both a desktop and a laptop. On the desktop (which was the first machine I tried to update) I went threw all the steps listed in my previous post before I got it to work. Once I got it working on my desktop I figured out that I could simplify the process for the laptop update. Here's what I did...
    1) Deactivated CS 5.5 by going into Flash Builder clicking Help > Deactivate Flash Builder...and clicking "Deactivate Permanently" (which deactivated the entire suite)
    2) Uninstalled only Flash Builder 4.5 and the iOS Component through the Control Panel (I'm sure you know how to do but just in case... go to Control Panel > Programs and Features (terminology may vary based on your OS) and click on your CS and click Uninstall. This will launch the Adobe uninstaller. From there deselect everything and only select (check) Flash Builder 4.5 and the iOS Component and then uninstall them - uninstalling the iOS Component might not be necessary, but I did it anyway)
    3) Restarted after those uninstalled
    4) Launched Photoshop and entered my CS Serial Number (you should be able to launch any CS program thats still installed to do this)
    5) Once it opened, closed it
    6) Installed Flash Builder 4.6 in Trial Mode making sure to select the same language used when CS was installed (that's IMPORTANT)
    7) Launched Flash Builder 4.6 in 60-Day (or however many days it was) Trail Mode
    8) Once it opened, closed it
    9) Launched Flash Builder 4.6 again, but this time I entered the Serial Number from my CS (at that point it accepted the SN and opened like normal and has everytime since)
    10) I then installed my iOS Component from my original CS
    That's it.
If you aren't having luck with the steps I posted in my earlier replies, you might want to try the steps I just mentioned. Start by installing your entire CS again - making special note of the language you select. Once installed and SN entered and you're sure your programs are up and running, the steps mentioned here worked for me. They're also less time consuming than the steps I entered in my previous reply.
The only issue I can see would be trying to update from Flash Builder 4.5 Standard to Flash Builder 4.6 Premium. But Jeff didn't say that was a problem, so you should be ok there.
    Hope these steps help.
    Good luck.
