Can't use audiobooks AND Genius? And VoiceOver not working for radio?

Anyone know how to resolve this? In order to transfer audiobooks, I have to disable the automatic syncing from my nano. But it seems that this means that I lose the ability to transfer the Genius mixes that are created in iTunes.
Also, after much hassle, finally got VoiceOver to work, but it only works when I"m playing music that I already have stored and it won't work for songs on the radio... any ideas?

I'm not sure about the Genius working with audio books, but from what I understand, when you say that you want VoiceOver, iTunes goes through your music list and makes that voiceover prompt for each song thats in their. It can't do that with the radio because the songs aren't preinstalled on the ipod.

Thank you SO very much for posting this. I had the exact issue with my iPad Mini after the same upgrade. Hard reset failed, computer would not recognize iPad. I had read all the other instructions and nothing worked.... YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME - with a slight variation.
I followed your lead and connected my iPad Mini to another computer, fired up iTunes, it saw the iPad Mini in Restore Mode and allowed me to go into Restore (yes, it wiped all of the data but I have a back up on the other computer that would not see it after the failed update). It installed the latest iOS 7.1.2 as well. I then disconnected it from that computer, reconnected it to the computer that would not see it prior and it then saw it as a new iPad and allowed me to Restore my backup and now it's all good!
I detailed my steps only because you downloaded the previous version - 7.1.1 whereas I downloaded the latest version (7.1.2) and then restored my back up.

Dictionary and selecting words does not work for Japanese documents

iOS 5 includes both English and Japanese dictionaries. However, it seems that dictionary function does not work for Japanese PDF documents, nor can I select any Japanese words in Adobe Reader. Please fix this!

You can start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). 
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Just got this Laptop and the audio is not working for videos

My operating system is Windows 8.1 with Bing. I just got this laptop computer for my college work and love it, but my audio does not work when I watch Videos. The laptop makes a weird tappign noise often. I need my audio to work for my course work online. The audio when I watch videos online either does not work at all or it breaks up as I am handling the laptop in the m hands. I have already did troubleshooting tests on the laptop and it can not find any problems but I know something is not right due to the noise and now my audio not working Please help me or tell me how HP can fix my laptop in a speedy mannor. It needs to go to the shop. That noise irritates me and I know that any kind of laptop pc is not suppose to make noises like that. The audio must work for my to complete my college homework and classwork online.

JMF example AVTransmit2.java and AVReceive2.java is not working for me?

I want to develop a class which will capture my voice data from my microphone and then will send it to the sound system of my PC following RTP protocol. For that I tried both AVTransmit2.java and AVReceive2.java class from http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/solutions/ but they just not doing it how I want, I am sure I am making some mistake, please let me know.
Moreover, when I try AudioBufferControl.java from the above link it is doing it for me what I want, let me hear what I am saying to my microphone, but it is using "javasound", I think that is not using RTP. Again if I use JMStudio even then I can hear my voice from microphone to sound system.
Pls can you help me write a class and let me know what I am doing wrong!

Try to follow these steps:
1. make sure db tables have the pk and fk's pre-existing.
2. create a brand new workspace
a) Select New Business Components: business components from tables.
b) Select these two tables
c) on the define view pages (step 2), push both objects over, then just click [finish]
3. Open the ViewController Node
a) expand Web Content, then WEB-INF
b) double click struts-config.xml to open it
4. In Struts-config.xml
a) drop a datapage, name it BrowseRoster, double click it, then drag and drop the Roster table from your DataControl Palette, as a READ only table.
b) insert a column as the first cell in the table and drop the operation: setCurrentRowWithKey as a find Row link. This should create the ANCHOR link, i.e.
">Show Emps</a>
c) create another page, EditOneEmp, double click to open that, and EXPAND the Roster table in the Data Control Palette. Drop the Emp table on this as an input form.
d) Now go back to the STruts-config.xml and draw a forward from the browse to the detail and name the forward setCurrentRowWithKey.
e) run the browse page from the struts-config.xml file (right click and run). Click on the hyperlink and you should go to the detail input page.
You may have messed up in Step 4(c). Also, when you run into these situations, as we've run into this NUMEROUS times at work, follow through the examine again, IN A NEW WORKSPACE, and redo each and every step. You must be EXACT or things don't work.

Error when @Singleton in Glassfish v3 and weld. CDI not working for EJBs.

I am getting the following error when deploying a web app with a SSB with the @Singleton annotation. If I use javax.ejb.Singleton I get the error. If I use @Stateless and @Singleton with javax.inject.Singleton, I don't.
I use Glassfish v3 with weld.

I think I have understood what the problem is, and maybe also a patch for it.
I have observed the exact same scenario as you guys.
I think the problem is exposed by the statement in the status.conf file:

Which I also have observed. Now, I have just had a session, where one of my colleagues have a succesfull connection and I have a failed one. Now, his vpnserver.conf was:

which is somewhat different. Mine was like the failing one you had. This made me think. The client is supposed to download vpnserver.conf via HTTPS and save it. Sometimes this goes wrong, and I think it is the router software that gets confused.
It simply thinks you are trying to remote mgmt it and sends you the html to go to the welcome.html page. In my setup I have enabled HTTPS and disbaled Remote MGMT. So it should never ever think it is being remotely managed, but somehow it does that - doh!
Thus, either the SW on the router is confused/buggy and this causes it to give you a HTML respond instead of the contents of the vpnserver.conf file. Another explanation could be that the wget tool has a problem, when a vpnserver.conf file already exists and then it doesn ensure to force download the file correctly or something.
Nevertheless, I have two ways to solve this problem:
1. Rebooting the router has worked for me, but is of course not nice
2. Delete the local version of vpnserver.conf BEFORE you try to connect.
The 2nd solution has not yet been verified to work in a broader scale, but we are trying to verify it.

Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.

The copy, copy image and save as does not work for pictures in release 10.0.2. saves blanks.

just put release 10.0.2 up at work and it was automatically put up at home and it won't copy pictures using copy or save as.

Using iTunes Match, Show All Music not working for one playlist

I am using an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.2. I just recently subscribed to iTunes Match and all of my music has been matched/uploaded.
When I turn on iTunes Match and Show All Music on my iPhone, all of my playlists show up but one of them is incomplete, and doesn't have an option to download the missing songs from the cloud.
So, for example, I have a playlist that on my Mac has 696 songs and they are all matched by iTunes Match, and they all appear as either already on my phone or downloadable. Most of the other playlists are the same: working as expected. But I also have a playlist that on my Mac has 58 songs and they are all matched by iTunes Match, but only nine of them appear on my phone (they were already there), and none of the remaining 49 are showing as available to download from the cloud.
Is it possible to fix this? I've had bad luck in the past deleting playlists on the phone with the goal of having them refresh during the next sync. (The bad luck involved my playlists being deleted in iTunes on my Mac after the sync.)

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

Basically does itunes keep the two iphones as two separate entities ? Does iTunes differentiate between the two devices and keep two different SYNCs ?

Yes, you can use the same computer for BACK UPS, RESTORING AND UPDATING. But that is it.
You cannot, however, use it to sync the different devices. iTunes will only recognize one device to sync with and if you sync any other devices with that iTunes library, it will replace what is on the phone with whatever is in the library. It cannot differentiate between devices. At most, it will jsut recognize that the phone has been synced with a different iTunes library.
So if you would like to use the same computer for backing up, restoring and updating, just make sure to turn of Automatic Syncing in your iTunes Preferences.
