Can't view .key package content

Tonight I needed to view the package content of a saved Keynote 09 .key file. Right clicked on the file and the feature is no longer in the drop down menu. So I tried an 08 file using 09 and the feature is there.
The work around was to save the file from 09 to a 08 file.
The reason I needed to view the content is, Keynote doesn't give a name to a master background image. Opening the package content one can copy the background image and then edit it in a an image program... and then place it back...mmm...

You can also just change the file extension to .zip. When you double click it, OSX's built-in unzipper will take care of that for you. After unzipping, give that folder a .key extension and viola! A Keynote '09 package!
Also in the Preferences under General, you can select "Save new documents as packages" and that'll take care of you going forward. I wonder, though, if you set this preference, open a compressed Keynote '09 file, then Save As... a new file, would that also create a searchable package??

The data isn't actually stored in iTunes. iTunes is like a card catalog that allows you to access information from the various places that it's stored on the computer. SMS and contact info will be viewable in whatever program you sync contact information. The backup actually keeps the files, but doesn't make them viewable, I'm pretty sure. You can only see the info you've actually synced.

We'll need to know more to beable to help. Do you want to try to restore your photos from your iPhone to your Mac, or try to recover the photos from the old iPhoto Library on your Mac?
What is the situation of your Mac now? In hat way did it crash? A hardware problem with the drive? Does the system not start properly? Does iPhoto not launch? Do you still have the iPhoto Library on your mac or a backup, so we could try to rescue the photos there?

On the iPhone you cannot access the "package contents" - IOS hides the file system from the users. To restore photos from your phone share all iPhoto photos to your Camera Roll, that are not already in the Camera Roll, and then connect the iPhone via USB and import the Camera Roll to iPhoto or Image Capture. To retrieve photos from a corruptrd iPhoto Library on your Mac we need to know the version number and more about the "crash" you experienced, the state of your mac, the system, the data. Please post back with more details.

Can't view Sent mail contents anymore

I have been using Mail for about 1-1.2 years since getting this new computer, when all o fa sudden and for no apparent reason, Mail stopped allowing me to view my sent messages . Often times I will need to forward a sent message or resend a sent message, but can't now. When I click on a sent message it says, "The message from ...concerning..... has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it." I have a POP account if this helps identify the problem. Any help is appreciated!

If you are running 10.3.9, as the info beneath your post reports? If so, you have an Overstuffed Mailbox, meaning it has become large enough to be a problem for Mail to properly index. Read the User Tip linked below, if this is the case, but post back immediately if you have upgraded from 10.3.9:

I created a project in iDVD which contains some old family photographs set to music. Of course there are no copyright or DRM issue involved here. I just want to view the contents on my iPad.

If you used iMovie to make the DVD video, why not output from iMovie for the iPad. If not, use Handbreak to convert the DVD video for use on the iPad. http://handbrake.fr/

How can i view my local content(swf) inside of Dream Weaver, when i keep getting this message?

Running CS5.5 on Windows and Flash is updated.
When i insert my run local content inside of dreamver I get this message..
Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.

The problem is Dreamweaver uses an older version of the swfobject.js library. You need to replace the swfobject_modified.js file that Dreamweaver automatically adds with the one that is created by Flash Catalyst. Just rename the FC version to match the DW version and overwrite the file (or change the script tag in DW).
You can replace Dreamweaver's version permanently if you want. The swfobject_modified.js file is located Dreamweaver > Configuration > Shared > Flash. Make sure you backup the file in case something goes wonky.

Can't view the room content

Dear all,
I crate a room and assign user A as a member of "Documents and Links" page.
When user A log into the room, it can't see any iview in the right part .
Then i assign the user A a superadmin role, he can see the iview displayed in the right part .
I guess it is permission problem. Can anyone have any experience about this problem?

Renaming Vocal Recordings in "Package Contents"?

I'm viewing my "Package Contents" after recording a song with quite a few vocals, and everything is labeled "Female Voice #(1,2,3 and so on). Problem is, I'm renaming the segments within GarageBand. I even re-saved the entire project as a new file. Anyway to change these? Won't going to the "Package Contents" and renaming the files manually confuse GarageBand to prevent the vocals from opening?

why do you need to muck around in the package contents.
if you change anything in the package you risk: at best GB not being able able to find its files... at worst, you'll destroy the project file

Viewing flash web content on N97

I've just got myself the new N97 (love it, btw). The web browsing is far better than what it was on the N95. (personal opinion). The only problem: I can't view flash web content. I can find the Flash player, but I'm talking about embedded flash videos on websites. For example: Visit www.family-secrets.net, my own website. I'm using an embedded flash player to play videos. I can't view these on my phone. I was under the impression that the N97 did come with the ability to play flash web content. Was I wrong? Or am I missing something here?

Where is "Show Package Contents"

I've update my osx into yosemite. Now i want to view application package contents. In earlier version of osx there was a option name "show package contents". But now when i right click on application there has no "show package contents" option.
now how to view the package contents??

I'm having the same issue. I right click on a .pkg installer, and there is no "Show Package Contents" in the contextual menu. The package installs just fine, so it's a proper Installer package.

I have created a .jar file of my project, but when I right-click, no such option appears, so I can't see what's inside.
Any suggestions?

I think you may be confused between the jar file, and the application bundle on OS X. When you hold down the ctrl key and then left click, normal click on an application bundle file, you do indeed see a number of options. One of which is to show package contents. An application bundle is a form of a directory and showing the package contents allows you to navigate the directory of the bundle on OSX.

HT3209 My computer meets all the requirements to view HD video content, why can I not download and view it?

I have all the minimum system requirements to view HD content on my computer. Why does iTunes tell me that I don't and cannot download my HD movies that I have already purchased? Why should I buy the SD version when my computer is completely capabile of viewing all HD content and has a very good video card with HDCP status showing that it's good?
Please help so that I can get my movies downloaded.

This is for the Windows 8-8.1 users out there: If you have the Pro version of Windows 8 and just recently upgraded to 8.1, Microsoft automatically includes a Virtual Machine package called Hyper-V client. It doesn't ask you if you want to install it, it just does.
This may also apply to Windows 7 users who may have inadvertently installed some version of Hyper-V on their computer.
The Hyper-V package installs a secondary video driver that breaks HDCP, which means you can't play HD movies even on a compliant system. You need to get rid of it. To do so:
Go to Control Panel
Programs and Features
Turn Windows Features on or Off
Uncheck "Hyper-V"
Reboot.
This applies to almost anything that requires HDCP, so if you're having trouble with Blu-Rays or Amazon Prime, that's likely the culprit.

How to package different content so that the same license can be used for all content.

1) If packaging all the content at the same time, use the same instance of DRMParameters every time you call MediaEncrypter.encryptContent(). All content packaged using the exact same DRMParameters object will be associated with the same license.
2) If packaging content at different times, but want to have all the content associated with the same license, you need to use V2KeyParameters.setContentEncryptionKey(). The first time you package a piece of content, you would use ContentEncryptionKey.generate() to generate a new key/license ID. To use the same key/license for later content, you need to store the info in ContentEncryptionKey, so you can pass in the same values later for the new content.

To package content at different times using the same license, you need to implement the following:
Call ContentEncryptionKey.generate to generate a new key and license ID.
On your V2KeyParameters, call setContentEncryptionKey and pass in the object generated in step 1.
Call MediaEncrypter.encryptContent and pass in the V2KeyParameters (via DRMParameters), as usual.
Store the contents of ContentEncryptionKey, so the same values can be used again later. The key, license ID, and packaging date should all be stored.
When you want to package additional content using this license, lookup the stored key, license ID, and packaging date and pass these into the ContentEncryptionKey constructor to create a ContentEncryptionKey instance.
On your V2KeyParameters, call setContentEncryptionKey and pass in the object generated in step 5.
Call MediaEncrypter.encryptContent and pass in the V2KeyParameters (via DRMParameters), as usual.
The media packaged in steps 3 and 7 should now be protected using the same license.
