Can the camera reference in a file be changed?

The file metadata show the correct camera but the file is located under" unknown camera"? In one case I shot 90 fotos with the same camera (nikon d1x) same date, same place and 85 are correctly placed - 5 not!
Since I have a backup folder that is based on the camera used, it's a pain if they are not in the correct folder - I am talking about a total of about 12000 fotos shot with various cameras that are missplaced that way!

The camera information is written by the camera and can't be changed in LR. It can be changed with ExifTool and the like. The camera information is used by LR for the various calibration settings.

not sure that i understand your question, but make sure that there are no spaces in the path that you are trying to load the file from. c:\My Documents\text.txtshould bec:\MyDocuments\text.txthope that helps.

For a variety of reasons, mostly related to security, the iOS operating system limits what can be done with respect to file uploading and downloading. But whenever you encounter a limitation like this always think, "There must be an app for this."

A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.
If that does not cure it backup up your iPhoto library and rebuild it - depress the option and command keys and launch iphoto and use the options there - exact option depends on teh version you have
And always remember - NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content of the iPhoto library - nothing - no deletions - no name changes - nothing

Lightroom 1.2 - can the camera raw 4.6 work?

I've just downloaded the Camera raw 4.6 module for my CS3, so I can open my new Canon 50D files, but my Lightroom 1.2 can't open them. Is there something I can download for that?

LR does not use the Camera Raw plugin. The code is contained within
the LR application, so there's no way to upgrade RAW capabilities in
LR unless you upgrade the whole application.
The latest v1.x is v1.4. I suppose you could try downloading that; it
might support your 50D. Otherwise, you'll have to either pay to
upgrade to LR 2.5, or convert your 50D RAW files to DNG first - LR
v1.x can read and import those.

Your not able to upgrade the camera, it's not really there for photos . Also there is no USB port on the iPad just a cable that connects to you computer.

When we create a company with segmentation, the system generates four default segments - Natural Account, Division, Region and Department.
Most other ERP systems have it as Division, Region, Department followed by the Natural Account code.

You can't upgrade processors or video cards on Mac's (MacPro if you can find one that is)
Only the RAM and in some machines the hard drive, that's it.

I have the following problem: The settings in my itunes cannot be changed. Even if I try to change them, they jump back to the former settings. Therefore I do not succeed in watching my mediatheque on my TV-set. In my itunes settings there is a password for the opening of my mediatheque. But in the settings of Apple TV there is no field for a password. I can´t remove the password in itunes as ALL settings cannot be changed any more. What can I do? Thanks so much for your help.

Most videos will not stream from US to Brazil......
iTunes application does not stream video over the internet anywhere. It only streams on your local network (to Apple TV or iDevice)

I know you can import RAW image files from a camera to the iPad. Will the iPad be able to display the RAW image files?

1) No you can't sync PDFs (Yes I know, this really annoys me too) I can sync and view a 700mb movie but can't sync and view a 1mb PDF, go figure. The only way I have found to save a PDF is to make a folder in my .Mac account then place an email with a PDF attachment into this folder. Now when you open it in Mail you can only view it in Portrait View (Vertical). So trying to read a PDF is almost impossible unless you enlarge it to the point where half the page is off the screen. Yea this phone has PDF support, but the worst, most limited support imaginable.

I just ran into a really tricky problem where I'm trying to write objects to a file. The problem is like :
class A
B b1;
B b2;
The two B objects may be references to the same object, they don't have to be. How can I write this structure to a file? I want to be able to recreate it exactly, with references to objects kept intact. If the two B objects were referencing the same object I still want them to reference the same object after reading in from a file.
Naturally, the above example is an oversimplified one. My problem is actually much more complex involving superclasses, subclasses, bla bla bla, but this is the fundamental thing I can't do.
If anyone has any ideas whatsoever please share them. I'm really desperate, filehandling is key to my project and my teacher couldn't help me.

Presumably what you are writing is very simple.
Say you have the following...
           class Data
                 int i;
                 String s;
           class Holder
                 Data d1;
                 Data d2;
The first task is write out a Data. So you figure out how to write an int and how to write a String. This could look something like this in the file(all text, each item on a different line)
          int:i: 47
          string:s: test
Next you need to identify a reference. Notice that a reference is a type, just as int and String is.
A reference is a pointer. And you need some way to point.
So one way is to add another element to each class which is a unique id. Thus when you write a Data out it would look like the following...
          id:: 1
          int:i: 47
          string:s: test
And then when you write out Holder it would look like this...
          id:: 3
          ref:d1: 1
          ref:d2: 2
So your entire file for the code sample given would look like this...
          id:: 1
          int:i: 47
          string:s: test
          id:: 2
          int:i: 53
          string:s: test other
          id:: 3
          ref:d1: 1
          ref:d2: 2
   Keep in mind that you must write the referenced objects first. Thus Holder must always come after Data.

That is correct. The Nikon D800 RAW NEF requires ACR 6.7 or newer and you need at least CS5 to use ACR 6.7. You need to download the 8.6 DNG convert and create DNG files for NEF files to use CS4. Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras

If I rip a CD and save it in iTunes in Apple's lossless format, can it be saved to the Shuffle in that format or does it need to be converted to something else?
