iOS does not have scanner drivers nor does the connector supply enough power.
Flash drive would kind of work, would need to have a DCIM folder-probably wouldn't see whole drive(?)

Another simplest way to do it (assuming you running Windows) is to use a Matlab script.
If both programs running on different systems:-
Most simple and slow - Create two VI's with shared variable on both machines, and use a matlab script to
share data. (this makes matlab some kind of "slave").
More advanced but still relatively slow (Create two VI's with shared variable, on the Matlab machine build the .NET
dll, and it can be used on Matlab too ( at least at 2010b version, earlier version support only COM).

Thinkpad W530: None of the USB ports work when used with a 4338-35U replicator

I have tried mouse. keyboard and a generic USB stick with a LED. None of the USB ports work on the replicator. Everything works fine when connected directly to the W530. The replicator ports must not have power because the LED doesn't come on.

No, USB storage devices can only be used for loading photos with a Camera Adapter.
There are WiFi drives that can be used as well as cloud-based storage: iCloud, Dropbox, etc.

Connecting my ipad mini to my camera using the USB camera kit error message 'device is to powerful' keeps popping up.

I am trying to connect my iPad mini to my Samsung camera using the USB camera kit, I keep getting the error message ' device to powerful'. Is there anyway to fix this or do I need to take it back?? The shop assistant in Currys assured me it should work and it wasn't cheap at £25 for a tiny wire! The camera is drawing too much power for your iPad. This can happen on cameras which charge their batteries using the USB connection. Make sure that you have the camera set to the correct settings for picture transfer - check the documentation that came with the camera.
Note that you can return the USB kit and get the SD card adaptor or get a powered USB hub if you can't get the camera to work any other way.
