Can you add folders to your email accounts? How?

I read somewhere that folders can now be added to Mail with iOS5. If that is true can someone help me do that? Thank you.

Adding folders to POP accounts is a limitation of them being POP accounts.

You cannot add folders on the iPhone at this time.
The reason you can add folders to your .Mac account is because .Mac utilizes IMAP, and IMAP supports server-side folders (which are what you're adding). The iPhone itself does not have any folders on it, and doesn't allow folders at this point (outside of whatever directory structure already exists for the system and apps).
POP does not support this functionality. If possible, I would recommend switching your other account to IMAP on your computer. I
f not, a solution I provided for my father on his iPhone was to make his .Mac account all-inclusive, and simply forward his other accounts to it I realize this is not ideal for all users (such as myself), but something worth at least bringing up.

No. There is no way to close out of an email. A workaround would be to open your draft folder - assuming that the is nothing in that folder - and that would open the mail app to a white screen. If you care to leave feedback for Apple about this ....

YOu would have to create the folders on the server side, you can't do it on the iphone itself.

Most mobile e-mail programs do not provide the full line of e-mail services that your computer program will. There are some better e-mail helper apps you can get from the Play Store, but even then they will not be the quality of your computer e-mail program. I'm not a heavy phone e-mail user but their are many on this forum who are and I'm sure will be chiming in with what you need.

I had an application where I spawned (= ran with Start Asynchronous Call) multiple (reentrant) copies of VIs, and would occasionally "lose control" of them. I needed a way to find all VIs that were running "Top Level" and stop them (so I didn't have to log off from Windows).
I used the Application Property "All VIs in Memory" to get an array of (wait for it ...) All VIs in Memory. I took each name, opened a VI reference to it (simply wire the name string in, as the VI is, by definition, "in memory"), looked at its VI Execution State, and if it was Run Top Level, Invoked the FP.Close and Abort VI Methods. [To prevent the VI that did all this from "committing Suicide", I compared the name string with the current Call Chain, and did nothing if there was a match].
I think you could adopt this idea to do what you need.

You should be able to -
If you go into Settings - Mail / Contacts
You see Groups at the top left corner
Adding to those groups will keep your contacts separate - although you have to check the group name for the contact to appear in the list

Yes, on any Mac. It is unclear exactly what you are trying to do with your Gmail accounts. Do you want mail, contacts, calendar etc to sync?
You can also enter your Gmail account in System Preferences > Internet Accounts. You can check options in the window to sync after adding.
BTW, asking in on MacBook Air forum is how to get answers that are specific to the Air, but if you have questions about how to use your Mac, ask on the forums for the OS X you have installed. For example if you have Mavericks 10.9. installed, ask on the Mavericks forum.

Sorry I'm a novice to this.
Say I have a video in my iTunes library and I would like to add it to my iPad so I can watch it when I'm not at home without hooking the iPad up to my PC and syncing.

Sorry, I miss-typed in my previous post. I meant to say you can't use homesharing to transfer content. (dictation got it wrong, but I should have checked). In order to transfer content from your iTunes library to your iPad, you would need to connect it to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi if you have Wi-Fi syncing enabled.
To enable Wi-Fi syncing you must first connect your iPad to your computer with the USB cable and then turn Wi-Fi syncing on in the settings within iTunes.

My wife just got an iPhone and would like to get a .me / Apple email account. Can she do this on her new iPhone, or does she need to own a Mac?

This can be done from the iPhone... Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
Note that MobileMe is to be discontinued this summer and replaced by iCloud, so she may want to set up an iCloud mail account, which still has an @me.com address.

HT204053 Why can you not change a @me email account inside my Apple ID?

I have an iphone 4S and access the cloud from a standard lap top and a standard desktop (not apple) and get confused with the other feeds, and I do not want an alias.

Open a new account and stop using the old one, you cannot delete the account but you can ignore it.

I want to organize my email but I can't figure out how to create folders on my iPhone.

The manual for iPhones running iOS 8 contains the following:
Organize your mail with mailboxes. Tap Edit in the Mailboxes list to create a new one, or to rename or delete one. (Some built-in mailboxes can’t be changed.) There are several smart mailboxes, such as Unread, that show messages from all your accounts. Tap the ones you want to use.
