Can you do this in Bridge scripting?

I'm game to learn Bridge scripting if it can do what I want, but I have no idea how I even get started in learning what can and can't be done from Bridge scripting. So, here are a couple questions. If someone can give me some guidance on whether it can be done, I'll dive in and figure out how.
I'm interested in adding a new view to Bridge that would filter out original files when there is an edited copy in the same directory with a common root name. I'd like to only show the edited copy and not the root name. In other cases, I'd like to select only the latest version.
Is it possible to use the Bridge scripting to make a new menu item that would select only the latest copy of an image? I'd write my own logic in JavaScript to examine the filenames and decide which images should be selected.
Also, is it possible to create new views in Bridge so that I could view only the latest version of an image? Again, I'd write my own logic in JavaScript to device which images should be displayed.

I've wondered about Version Cue since it came out. It appears that you have to buy the whole suite in order to get it and that it's not available separately or just with Photoshop CS2. Is that correct?
I am a photo hobbiest and the suite is out of my price range (if I was going to spend that kind of money for my hobby, I'd spend it on a lens or towards another camera body), particularly when Adobe's policy for upgrades when you own the suite is that you have to upgrade the whole suite every time, not just a component.
If you know of a good, in-depth writeup that covers the version cue features, I haven't been able to find one.
Thanks for the info directing me at a custom browse scheme. I'll read about that and see how feasible it would be to present a "poor man's latest version display". I had in mind that the naming scheme would be pretty easy. I think the only rule that I'd have to follow in my edited versions is to preserve the original root name in the edited versions. If there were multiple edited versions, I'd pick the one with the later time/date.
I'm off to read some more about how to get started with this. I'm glad this forum exists.

Don't want to block the person, just have all his texts going directly to my email so that I can maintain a continuous record of his text contacts (rather than remain in text form).
It appears that I must select an option that makes ALL texts go to email, which I'd prefer not doing.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I open gmail. I want to save an email to one of my folders.
I position my cursor over the appropriate Folder icon or by choice, to the Trash.
The friendly finger pointing cursor icon changes to an arrow icon.
The hand icon allows me flawless access to opening and/or moving emails.
The arrow, however does not open the link.
On the Google menu bar the cursor hand with finger opens the links to Everett (my name), Search, Images, Maps and Play.
When I attempt to open the remaining links in the menu bar (YouTube, News, Gmail, Drive, Calendar and More) the arrow icon replaces the hand. The arrow icon does not work. It will not activate these links. Nor does it open email messages in the Inbox.
Usually I reset, even reboot Safire and sometimes the problem goes away, then reappears.
Can you imagine if this condition should it happen to a tech savvy Google Support person? Perhaps one can share and make my problem go away.
I am considering dropping Google as my mail source. Unfortunate!

I have uninstalled my Access Connection, but this problem seems to persist. IBM technician have changed the wireless card of my T60, the first few days after it was changed was very fine, no problem at all. In v.4 fonts look blurry. Can you solve this shortcoming ?

Fonts look blurry in the overall menu in this new version of browser (v.4). I tried all the options that you specified with the ClearType an so on... It seems that the problem is not from Windows 7 because the old version looks ok. Can you solve this shortcoming ?
Until you resolve it I'll stay with the previous version (3.6.16) which it looks really good.

Yea, when I actually install my applications and launch them from GNOME Shell's menu or launcher the fonts look as blurry as they do when I launch them from Anjuta. Other applications look fine and with the workarounds I described above, my own applications display nicely too when launched from either GNOME Shell or Anjuta.

I don't think that Adobe offers any software to convert .azw4 files. Search Google for alternate converters.

GridBagLayout with JPanel, only 3 lines. Can you fix this?

this is all inside of a JPanel that is inside of a JTabbedPane. I want to use a GridBagLayout to arrange the components inside panel1 (which is a JPanel) but the compiler is telling me addComponent is undefined for JPanel.
Can you figure this out? How can I use a GridBagLayout in a JPanel?
If you cant use GridBagLayout is there anything similiar available for JPanel?

i found the answer myself and it goes more like this...
panel1.setLayout(new GridBagLayout);
and then you have to create a GridBagConstraints object to enter the contraints, something like:
GridBagConstraints(int gridx, int gridy, int gridwidth, int gridheight, double weightx, double weighty, int anchor, int fill, Insets insets, int ipadx, int ipady) ;
and then you just use
panel1.add(component, GridBagConstraints object);

In FCP, holding Shift when moving a clip from track to track would lock it in position vertically. Can you do this in Premiere Pro?

First reset position and scale. If you insist on doing this in the inspector then in the crop function in the inspector use the Type pop to select Crop. There are three options: Trim, Crop, and Ken Burns. It's easiest to do this in the viewer. After you reset position and scale, the transform function, press Shift-C. You'll see three buttons at the top as well as a keyframe button. Select the middle button and press the keyframe button when the playhead is at the start position. It'll look like this.
Go to the end position and change the crop value. It'll look like this or something like it.
Click Done.
Can you do this step-by-step and see what happens?

I am using Toast 11 to burn dvd's. With FCP10.1.3 I could go into the FCP shared folder grab the encoded .m2v file and drag it into Toast 11 and author dvd and burn. How can you do this with FCP 10.1.4?

BenB it creates a disc image only and it's not in .m2v. I think it saved it as an Apple Pro Res 422 format instead. The disc image file format will not allow
Toast 11 to create menus etc. Thanks for your help.
