Here is help for the operating system:
If you are locked to iOS 3 then you have an iPod Touch 1st Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 4 then you have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 5 then you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 6 then you have an iPod Touch 4th Gen.
If you can get iOS 7 and have an iPhone 5 sized screen [bigger] you have the current iPod Touch 5th Gen.
I assume since it says you have iOS 5.1.1 you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
Also, you may want to sync it so iTunes can tell you or you can look at the model number on the back.

Sorry if iv posted this in the wrong section.well the question is quite simple. how can i find out which network my iphone 4s is locked to, without purchasing sim cards from every network.

You can do this a couple ways. If you are using MobileMe, notes is one of the options for synchronization and that would be automatic. Another way is to backup your iphone to iTunes, this backs up essentially all the information on your phone (except for music) and if you restore the other iphone to the image of the original your notes will be transfered.

I took each name, opened a VI reference to it (simply wire the name string in, as the VI is, by definition, "in memory"), looked at its VI Execution State, and if it was Run Top Level, Invoked the FP.Close and Abort VI Methods. [To prevent the VI that did all this from "committing Suicide", I compared the name string with the current Call Chain, and did nothing if there was a match].
I think you could adopt this idea to do what you need.

Optimize Your Settings
Depending on how they are set, a few features may decrease your iPhone battery life. The tips below apply to an iPhone running iOS 7.0 or later.
Enable Wi-Fi: Having Wi-Fi enabled helps consume less power when doing activities that access data. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and log in to a Wi-Fi network.
Adjust brightness: Dim the screen or turn on Auto-Brightness to extend battery life. Turning on Auto-Brightness allows the screen to adjust based on lighting conditions.
